A telephone number is necessary to give to the shipper. Description: This is a very nice antique buffet server. The piece is made of ¼-sawn tiger Oak and the grain is beautiful. There is a short top shelf above the backsplash mirror. The mirror appears to be original and it does have some slight fogging and freckling. The backsplash mirror is beveled and flanked by“S” corbels supporting the upper shelf. The base has 4 drawers and 2 doors all with wood knob pulls. The two top drawers are bow front. The drawer on the left is lined with faded green velvet and divided into 3 sections. The drawers all have dovetail construction and glide in and out easily. The doors hide open storage. Casters sit beneath the large curved Empire style feet on all 4 legs. This piece does have some nicks and scuffs from the years however it is in overall great condition. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. This buffet measures 55 1/8 inches tall. 61 ¾ inches side to side and 25 3/8 inches front to back. Draw sides and back are all oak and not an inferior wood. The interior is all oak. The doors lock but I have lost the key! Currently all the doors are unlocked! I believe it is still solid oak but it lacks the patina of the original. The glass is not damaged anywhere. The marble has exquisite shading and color. With pink, grey and purple variations. It has light scratches on the top and minor tiny chips on the edge as expected for a piece this age. It is not broken anywhere! The carvings are so wonderful with urns. Horns, ribbons, roses, tassels, swags and leaves. Both front panels have cracks on the decoration as seen in the photographs. Very reluctantly for sale! Gorgeous Large French Provincial Enfilade Sideboard Blonde English Oak c1780
18th C French Provincial Enfilade c 1780 This is a stunning French enfilade made from English oak. The entire piece has 18th century craftsmanship with dovetailed joints and peg nails. A few interior areas have been re-inforced with screws. There are four cabinet doors and four deep drawers. The cabinet door on the far right has compartments that have been customized to hold flatware and serving pieces. The far two left doors have anterior section that is not divided so it can hold larger pieces. The hardware and key are original to the piece. The enfilade measures 21 1/4" deep x 38" high x 8 1/4 feet long(99 inches) The cabinet offers a tremendous amount of storage and I have used it in my home office for a very long time. I never intended to part with it but unfortunately I need more storage and I'm having built-in bookshelves ... moreinstalled. When I purchased the piece I was told that this was brought to the United States by a very wealthy family along the Main Line in Philadelphia. The wife fell in love with the piece while dining in a restaurant in the Normandy area. It was brought back to the United States by a container ship. The surface of the enfilade is stained with red wine and marked by hot dishes that it once held which to me. Creates the personality of this magnificent piece. I didn't want something that was perfect that I'd have to protect and be afraid of ruining. Opulent detailing with dragons and classical urn motifs shows masterful artistry in solid fine grained oak. Drawers have solid mahogany sides with hand cut dovetail joints and original embossed bronze hardware. Original mirrors have a little antique smoke and flaws to show their age. The top has been revarnished for durability. The rest of the finish is original and has been waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm luster. As you can see in the photos, the finish overall is nice, but it does have some nicks and chips in a few places, as can be expected with a piece that is almost 200 years old. Cushman Creation History: The H.T. Cushman Manufacturing Company factory was a fixture on Water Street in the Village of North Bennington. This is an Antique 1910 Victorian Quarter Sawed Oak Sideboard/ Buffet with Original Silverback Beveled Mirror. 3 Dovetail Drawers, Mushroom Drawer Pulls and Large Area Cabinet/ Cupboard, 55 inches tall x 48 inches wide x 20.5 inches deep. This is a 2 section piece with a removable mirror top. Item is structurally sound and in overall good condition. Two small veneer repairs were done prior to listing(shown) Bottom of the legs have light to moderate chips. Moderate side was depicted in the only picture shown. Mirror is secured well. Mirror was not designed to support more than it's own weight. Like leaning against it or laying your arm on top of it. Edges of the mirror have some spotting.
