But the bottom half will require at least 4-6 men to move it. This piece has 7 locking doors. 4 drawers and 9 beautifully carved unique outdoor scenes. There is one shelf running the length of the top and one behind the doors on the bottom. This is all hand-made. It truly must be seen to be fully appreciated. I am not sure of the age. But one professional assessment put it in the Elizabethan period. There are no obvious markings indicating origin or age. Overall the piece is in very very good condition. There are two areas of damage. On the very top there is a crack and some damage on the underside of the top concealed behind the right pillar. Early 1800's sideboard made of quarter sawn oak. This piece is an early American Arts and Crafts piece handcrafted with the makers signature under the drawer and hand made dovetails. 1900's Child's Oak Sideboard - Buffet Children's Furniture Rare Vintage Doll Toy
I have had this for over 30 years. was given to me as a teenager by a friend.have an extensive Children's ware collection and always had my EAPG Children's pieces displayed on it. looks beautiful with a punch bowl. Cups and glass candelabra's. Made around the turn of the century; is about 38" tall 9" deep 23" at widest. is oak with composite detail; detail is complete, no chips. Mirror was added by me in the style of the original large pieces(I took the pattern out of a antique oak furniture book) as the mirror was missing when I received it; is copper foil method not channeled lead. One door on left is not original but done well, glass pulls are not original but drawer pulls are. Red paint on inside is original. Has a few crayon marks on the back! Has been played with! One small piece at top of back is missing; ... morenot noticeable from front. Have pictured where some wear is on foot and level area of front above drawer. Finish is original except for replaced door. Extremely rare piece to find. have not seen another one in all my auction days. Is walker doll size. Please ask questions before any purchase. Antique tiger oak beveled serpentine mirror carved griffins buffet / sideboard
Here is a fantastic tiger oak buffet/ sideboard with fully carved griffins at the ends of the beveled serpentine mirror. Its ALL original. My grandparents had this when it was new. It has been in my family since day one. Im the last one to have it and its time to let it go. It has been refinished only ONCE. Just re varnished about 30+ ago. Very clean inside and out. No stains, Drawers slide easily! The buffet measures 48 in wide. 24 in deep, and 56 in to top of mirror. 40 in to top of buffet, mirror is almost 17 in tall itself, the serpentine mirror is 3.5 in deep itself and the fully carved griffins are 9.5 in tall and 2.5 in thick. The only things missing are the key to the drawers and some of the metal tab stoppers for the drawers but they can be replaced. The feet are carved lion paws with the wood wheel casters. The back of the mirror ... morehas the number 613 painted on back. Which is probably the model number and the words Doll Class, which may mean the grade of quality of the piece. Its an excellent quality buffet. ALL the tiger oak veneer is present and in excellent condition, This piece needs no work and the mirror is screwed to the buffet with 10 wood screws( it comes off for easy moving) ONLY the bottom linen drawer needed to be re glued& re nailed, the linens were very heavy. A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, quartersawn oak sideboard with mottled brown marble top. The style is a combination of Renaissance and Classical. Two part construction. The top section with column supported shelf has a broken pediment type crest having finial, and spindel gallery. The marble is a meander of gray and cream in a chestnut brown color. The case has two long drawers over a two doored compartment. Fancy brass handles to all oak interior drawers, the doors with carved lion heads on tablets. Includes the lock and key. it measures 5'8" 68" tall by 4'3" 51" wide by 20" deep. the top shelf 7" deep. Below the case is a column supported long shelf over bun feet. Excellent condition: oak boards without chips or cracks, original dark finish. The marble slab is without cracks or chips.

A very wonderful antique. Circa 1890's, quartersawn oak mirrored sideboard with deep carvings of griffin shelf supports, and applied deep carvings of scrolled acanthus leaves. Two piece construction. The case is on front carved stylized paw feet. From the griffin heads to the finials of the mirror frame are carved oak chains. Large beveled mirror. There is a long oak plate bar on the shelf. The two top drawers, and the long drawer beneath, have unusual brass exotic crescent drawer pulls. The right drawer is divided for flatware. The bottom doors each open to a compartment. The secondary wood is plain oak. The sideboard measures 6'3" 75" tall by 5'6" 66" wide by 2' deep. It is a gorgeous piece of antique furniture that can be used in a variety of places within the home. This console would be an excellent piece for any area that you need a narrow depth piece. Such as behind a sofa or in a hallway. A common motif among carved oak Victorian furniture is“the hunt” This console is true to that ... moremotif with carved fish and fowl on the doors complimented by carved flora up the sides and drawers. The drawer handles are actually hand carved leaves. A truly unique and beautiful look. Both drawers function smoothly and were created with hand cut dovetailed joints. This is a sign of proper construction and age. The doors have a keyhole and there is a lock on the right door. But no key exists. There is no catch on the left door either. Despite this, both doors still remain shut when they are closed. Inside is one wooden shelf. It is removable but not adjustable. There is some minor wear on this console as you would expect from a Victorian era antique. This consists mainly of minor wear marks around the bottom moulding and feet. The top has sustained some age separations which are purely cosmetic and do not affect the structural integrity of the piece. You will also see on the right side. Near the top, that the moulding is missing from the small rectangle section. We have called this out in the pictures. This would make a wonderful pair of antique bookcases for your office or library. Or it can be used a handsome china cabinet or sideboard for the dining room. A rare pair. It is highly unsual to find a pair. You are getting both pieces for one money! Dates back to circa 1890's. Made from solid oak. Carved all over with carved lion heads which make a dramatic presence with the stained glass doors. The carving is elaborate with leafy scrolls, floral, geometric, and shell designs and demostrates the woodcarver's art. The upper bookcase cabinets have stained glass doors opening to glass shelves, and a lighted interior over an open shelf, carved back panel, spice/plate ... moreracks, and turned end posts. The shelves are adjustable to store objects of art, china, or fine books, and it has lights inside. The spice racks are removable. The lower cabinets have one large deep drawer over two shell carved cabinet doors for more storage. Carved all over. There are 4 magnificent carved lion heads on each. The drawers are constructed with hand-cut dovetails and the back feature hand-cut dovetailed joints as well- a sign of quality.
