A telephone number is necessary to give to the shipper. Description: This is a very nice antique buffet server. The piece is made of ¼-sawn tiger Oak and the grain is beautiful. There is a short top shelf above the backsplash mirror. The mirror appears to be original and it does have some slight fogging and freckling. The backsplash mirror is beveled and flanked by“S” corbels supporting the upper shelf. The base has 4 drawers and 2 doors all with wood knob pulls. The two top drawers are bow front. The drawer on the left is lined with faded green velvet and divided into 3 sections. The drawers all have dovetail construction and glide in and out easily. The doors hide open storage. Casters sit beneath the large curved Empire style feet on all 4 legs. This piece does have some nicks and scuffs from the years however it is in overall great condition. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. This buffet measures 55 1/8 inches tall. 61 ¾ inches side to side and 25 3/8 inches front to back. I believe it is still solid oak but it lacks the patina of the original. The glass is not damaged anywhere. The marble has exquisite shading and color. With pink, grey and purple variations. It has light scratches on the top and minor tiny chips on the edge as expected for a piece this age. It is not broken anywhere! The carvings are so wonderful with urns. Horns, ribbons, roses, tassels, swags and leaves. Both front panels have cracks on the decoration as seen in the photographs. Very reluctantly for sale! Early 1800's American Quartersawn Oak Early Arts & Crafts Era Sideboard Buffet
Early 1800's sideboard made of quarter sawn oak. This piece is an early American Arts and Crafts piece handcrafted with the makers signature under the drawer and hand made dovetails. The mirror is the original beveled mirror with only minor graining. This side board is in remarkable condition for its age with only minor staining to the top as pictured that does not take away from the piece. But adds to its character. The finish is original. I believe that at some point someone replaced a set of hinges on the cabinet door. It is older but does not appear original. This wonderful piece can be viewed just north of Sacramento in Rocklin. I have had this for over 30 years. was given to me as a teenager by a friend.have an extensive Children's ware collection and always had my EAPG Children's pieces displayed on it. looks beautiful with a punch bowl. Cups and glass candelabra's. Made around the turn of the century; is about 38" tall 9" deep 23" at widest. is oak with composite detail; detail is complete, no chips. Mirror was added by me in the style of the original large pieces(I took the pattern out of a antique oak furniture book) as the mirror was missing when I received it; is copper foil method not channeled lead. One door on left is not original but done well, glass pulls are not original but drawer pulls are. Red paint on inside is original. Has a few crayon marks on the back! Has been played with! One small piece at top of back is missing; ... morenot noticeable from front. Have pictured where some wear is on foot and level area of front above drawer. Finish is original except for replaced door. Extremely rare piece to find. have not seen another one in all my auction days. Is walker doll size. Please ask questions before any purchase. FRENCH VICTORIAN CARVED OAK BUFFET WITH MARBLE TOP
This very special piece. Which dates from the 1890s, is part of an estate collection. It’s decorated with gracefully carved ribbon and bow motifs, with three framed, beveled mirrors. It has its original delicately detailed hardware and beautiful golden finish. While this buffet is grand and has plenty of storage room. It’s compact enough to fit nicely in a relatively small space. It measures 19 ¾” deep by 43 ½”wide by 78 ¾” high. Similar pieces with much less interesting carvings sell for $2,000 or more. This is a Vintage Wilson Oak Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet. It measures 70" tall x 41" wide x 25 1/2" deep. It is missing the flour sifter. All of the drawers and doors work well. The roll down door needs a little coaxing to go up and down and could use some TLC to make it work well. It has all of the original pulls. Hinges, latches and the original stained glass panels. The sliding pull out enamel tabletop is well worn having lost most of it's shine but only has a few minor chips. Some of the wood veneer has separated as shown in the photos. The joints are somewhat loose and in need of professional care. Not all of the corners are square and are in need of repair also. Antique tiger oak beveled serpentine mirror carved griffins buffet / sideboard
Here is a fantastic tiger oak buffet/ sideboard with fully carved griffins at the ends of the beveled serpentine mirror. Its ALL original. My grandparents had this when it was new. It has been in my family since day one. Im the last one to have it and its time to let it go. It has been refinished only ONCE. Just re varnished about 30+ ago. Very clean inside and out. No stains, Drawers slide easily! The buffet measures 48 in wide. 24 in deep, and 56 in to top of mirror. 40 in to top of buffet, mirror is almost 17 in tall itself, the serpentine mirror is 3.5 in deep itself and the fully carved griffins are 9.5 in tall and 2.5 in thick. The only things missing are the key to the drawers and some of the metal tab stoppers for the drawers but they can be replaced. The feet are carved lion paws with the wood wheel casters. The back of the mirror ... morehas the number 613 painted on back. Which is probably the model number and the words Doll Class, which may mean the grade of quality of the piece. Its an excellent quality buffet. ALL the tiger oak veneer is present and in excellent condition, This piece needs no work and the mirror is screwed to the buffet with 10 wood screws( it comes off for easy moving) ONLY the bottom linen drawer needed to be re glued& re nailed, the linens were very heavy. Here is an absolutely fabulous find if you are looking for a gorgeous oak sideboard or perhaps welsh dresser base to serve as an additional counter. Large flat screen TV stand, work surface, server or even hallway table or console piece in any room in your home or business. Arriving with my consignors most recent shipment of antiques from the UK, this gorgeous old sideboard has some nice age and I attempt to use my photographs to show it's quality construction and ample functional storage in a wonderful solid wood cabinet. This piece has two large side drawers and four central drawers, all beautifully dovetailed and two of which are actually divided felt lined drawers. On each side is functional open cabinet space behind decorative wood doors and the piece appears to have it's original old hardware as well. This awesome sideboard ... moremeasures 60 inches by 18 inches front to back and is 36 inches tall. The perfect height for a work surface. The four central drawers are each 16 1/4 inch wide by 12 1/2 inches front to back and are 3 1/2, 5, 6 and 7 inches deep, respectively with the top two drawers being the two felt lined divided buffet drawers. It is a gorgeous piece of antique furniture that can be used in a variety of places within the home. This console would be an excellent piece for any area that you need a narrow depth piece. Such as behind a sofa or in a hallway. A common motif among carved oak Victorian furniture is“the hunt” This console is true to that ... moremotif with carved fish and fowl on the doors complimented by carved flora up the sides and drawers. The drawer handles are actually hand carved leaves. A truly unique and beautiful look. Both drawers function smoothly and were created with hand cut dovetailed joints. This is a sign of proper construction and age. The doors have a keyhole and there is a lock on the right door. But no key exists. There is no catch on the left door either. Despite this, both doors still remain shut when they are closed. Inside is one wooden shelf. It is removable but not adjustable. There is some minor wear on this console as you would expect from a Victorian era antique. This consists mainly of minor wear marks around the bottom moulding and feet. The top has sustained some age separations which are purely cosmetic and do not affect the structural integrity of the piece. You will also see on the right side. Near the top, that the moulding is missing from the small rectangle section. We have called this out in the pictures.
