This is a very cool and unusual design with TONS of function in a sleek low footprint. It is comprised of a beautiful blend of woods(solid teak. Teak veneer, rosewood veneer and solid beech(drawer bodies) It features two sliding doors that when slid to the left reveal a very spacious open storage area in the middle of the credenza. When the doors are slid to the right you will find another storage area with three rosewood and beech pull out drawer trays. These drawers are all felt lined, perfect for this more delicate objects. You can also remove one, two or all three of these if you want additional open storage space. Moving on over to the far right side of the credenza, there are 3 pull out drawers with AMAZING ... moreintegrated sculptural handles. These drawers are larger the rosewood ones, allowing storage of bigger things. It is very well made with lovely attention to detail and GORGEOUS wood grain. The size is just perfect for most any room. Not too small and not overbearingly large. The piece features double sliding doors that open to reveal two large storage areas. Each with a single height adjustable/ removable shelf. In the middle are 4 drawers for additional storage. Top two drawer is felt lined and has a removable wood segmented divider. measurements Overall 67" long by 16 3/4" deep by 29" high. Drawer interiors are each 20 1/2" wide by 12 3/4" deep by just over 3" ... morehigh. Each cabinet interior is 21 1/2" wide by 15 1/2" deep by just under 16 1/2" high. condition Overall excellent and very clean example. Doors and drawers slide smooth as silk. There is some minor light finish wear areas on the top that were near impossible to photograph. Its only to the clear coat finish. So we tried manipulating the light to make them stand out. It's the same way in person, so depending on the viewing angle and lighting the top can look perfect. Its really a non issue and in no way warrants a refinish, though one could do so for 100% perfection. One drawer has a little touched up chip on the INSIDE top edge lip, nothing you see unless you pull the drawer out and even then its nothing. DESCRIPTION: Gorgeous Mid Century Modern Danish Modern teak credenza designed by Poul Hundevad for Hundevad& Co. Two sliding doors open a spacious maple interior with open cabinets on the left and right. A single pull out drawer with original green felt and two adjustable height and/or removable shelvs reside in each side. Note: there are only four shelf pins and eight will be required to hold both shelves simultaneously) Back side is marked with the rare early Hundevad& Co. mark and is Stamped"Made in Denmark. Distinctive oval rounded inset. Sculpted teak pulls. Both doors slide with ease to access items inside. A credenza/ buffet/ sideboard by nature. It would also make an excellent media console and/or HDTV stand. The backing has drilled holes two on the right, one large section taken out on the left and another clean circular ... morehole at the bottom left, to pass cables, etc. The credenza is in overall good original vintage condition. The top shows two deep scratches with vintage repair(brown putty) The piece does show wear( scratches. Losses, marks, scuffs, chips, etc. commensurate with its age. Each shelf also has some masking tape at the corners, I believe were in place to protect from damage when adjusting them and may possibly be removed. Overall it is a fine example of Danish Modern design by a renown Danish designer in Poul Hundevad.
