This would have been used to store up to five of the leaves from an extending table. But today could also have other uses. The gorgeous flame mahogany is a wonderful colour which is the result of 150 years of sunlight and can not be reproduced today. HENKEL HARRIS Mahogany Sideboard#2367A This is a beautiful mahogany sideboard from the prestigious Henkel Harris. It features a beautifully shaped top and serpentine front with swirly figured mahogany veneer and decorative inlays of maple and obeche. The tapered elegant legs have lovely detailing at the bottoms and is accented with solid brass federal style hardware and brass gallery at the top. The drawers are fitted with cloth silver liners. CONDITION: The sideboard is in pre-owned estate condition. There are nicks. Scratches and some blemishes. The front drawers have some scratches. The top has the most wear. This a 19th century antique mahogany sideboard with some solid mahogany. Some figured mahogany veneers and pine secondary. There are two drawers over what appears to be three doors but is actually two doors. The right hand drawer is a lined drawer for silver ware and the bottom section can be totally locked. ANTIQUE 1870's VICTORIAN RENAISSANCE CARVED MAHOGANY MARBLE TOP SIDEBOARD w/ MIRROR The base is mahogany veneers with solid mahogany carvings. The upper piece above the marble is solid mahogany. There are areas of missing and damaged veneer on the base. The drawer pulls are not original. And the drawer locks have been removed. One of the pads(back left) the base rests on is missing. The spindle detail on the left side of the base under the marble is missing. There is some silver loss to the mirrors. The marble has some staining and a few scratches that don't detract from the piece. The dimensions are 46" wide x 21" deep x 74" tall overall and 39" tall to the top of the marble. This classic American mahogany sideboard is from the New Hampton Court Collection made by the Drexel Furniture Company. The model number is 4101-4. Manufactured around 1950. The Drexel mark is burned into the inside of the top drawer, and the back bears the stenciled identification. This piece is classic Drexel. Having four wide bow-front center drawers with smaller side drawers above the cabinet doors. The drawers and cabinet doors are faced in matched mahogany veneer with a warm, rich brown color. The cabinet doors feature a graceful oval inlay, and the case has carved corner posts. The drawers have the original Hepplewhite solid brass handles, and the doors have the original solid brass pulls. Finely crafted from solid wood. The case is in sound structural condition. No. 2530 This mahogany bowfront sideboard is reproduced from an English Hepplewhite original circa 1790. Found in a historic private Charleston, SC house. Double banded inlays grace the highly figured top, while two maple fan inlays adorn the front. The drawers are decorated with rich canted and cornered linework, and are supported by tapered, inlaid legs ending in spade feet. Unfortunately, that didn't work out. This is way less than I paid for it, but I probably paid too much and the economy is different now. This beautiful antique sideboard appears to have its original finish. It has 8 great ball& claw feet. The drawer& door pulls appear to be original. It has a couple of felt lined drawers I assume for silver flatware. It has a metal lined drawer I assume to cool wine or food( It is a relatively large piece of furniture which would be the focal point of any room. The dimensions of the sideboard are: Height 43 1/2 inches Length 72 inches Depth 24 inches Center height 27 inches Of course. This elegant sideboard has a tiny handwritten note pasted inside its center drawer. It says: Made for Mr. and Mrs. L. Bossenitch by Nathan Margolis Oct. 13. 1913 In the northeast. Nathan Margolis pieces are revered and in demand and this is an early one. It is solid mahogany with a mahogany veneer and a lighter wood inlay. Its stamped solid brass drawer pulls portray lovely flowers. Its six shapely legs are round, ribbed and tapered. Approximate dimensions: 51" wide. 32 1/2" H, 20"D at the bowed center front My husband and I have enjoyed this in our dining room for twenty years. And are now sadly parting with it. We did have one misadventure with it: one Christmas, when the whole family had gathered, I put a lit incense burner on the Margolis and it created a small burn before I discovered it.
