This is one of 2 matching console side table cabinets that I have. They are both the same with slight differences which I have noted in each listing. Each piece is listed separately. This auction is for ONE cabinet. The photos are pictures of the actual piece you will receive. Please note that bright marks in the photos are not flaws but glare from the camera. It has a bow front with one curved drawer in the center that has 2 round decorative ring handles and there are 2 compartments with curved doors on either side. This grand 19th century piece measures 39 1/2 inches in height.48 inches wide and 25 inches deep and weighs approximately 130 lbs. The stretcher shelf at the base measures 47 1/4 inches wide by 18 inches deep and is 10 1/2 inches high from the floor. Both drawers do have their locks intact but we do not have the key. Henkel Harris Mahogany Sideboard or Buffet (Style # 2350)
You are bidding on a Henkel Harris Mahogany Sideboard or Buffet(Model# 2350) in the# 29 Finish. This bow-front sideboard measures approximately 52-1/8” wide by 23” deep by 35-3/4” high. The sideboard has two cupboard doors with string inlay flanking a drawer with felt lining above a recessed front drawer raised on square tapering legs ending in spade feet. It also features solid brass hardware and retains its three original keys. The sideboard was fabricated in 1984. The sideboard has normal age-appropriate wear with some surface scratches. I have attempted to show the worst of these scratches on the top of the sideboard(Image 12) After cleaning the furniture with Howard Orange Oil Furniture Polish. These scratches were virtually unnoticeable(and almost impossible to capture in a photograph) In fact, I believe that the scratches appear far ... moreworse in the photograph(Image 12) than they do in person. Aside from these surface scratches, I would describe the sideboard as being in excellent condition. All in all. Loads of detail with applied leaf carving in gold under the top shelf applied over small mahogany dentil work. The drawers and sides have applied leaf and bow carving as well. Set of double doors in the lower center and 1 door each left and right sides and all open to large are with adjustable oak interior and oak shelf. Great contrasting appearance! The top has shapely openwork galleries dovetailed together and graduated spool turned posts ending in delicate finials.The shelves and base are framed with decorative beaded arrow design moldings. It features a beautifully shaped top and serpentine front with swirly figured mahogany veneer and decorative inlays of maple and obeche. The tapered elegant legs have lovely detailing at the bottoms and is accented with solid brass federal style hardware and brass gallery at the top. The drawers are fitted with cloth silver liners. CONDITION: The sideboard is in pre-owned estate condition. There are nicks. Scratches and some blemishes. The front drawers have some scratches. The top has the most wear. This a 19th century antique mahogany sideboard with some solid mahogany. Some figured mahogany veneers and pine secondary. There are two drawers over what appears to be three doors but is actually two doors. The right hand drawer is a lined drawer for silver ware and the bottom section can be totally locked. Drawers are hand dovetailed and the bottoms of the drawers are chamfered. The columns are like double ended C scrolls and the feet are simple.typical mid 1800's Empire Revival piece. Height to top = 40 1/2" Width = 57" Depth at deepest = 24" The lock sets are original. They are the"same" lockset in that they are both either left handed or right handed as the key needs to be reversed to work each lock. They lock easily. The key has been replaced. Solid Mahogany Art Nouveau Sideboard Buffet with Leaded Pane Glass Curio Top c1910 Being offered for sale is this fabulous Solid Mahogany Antique Art Nouveau Sideboard Buffet with the original Leaded Glass Curio Top circa 1910. This is a stunning. Substantial piece that offers a multitude of display and storage possibilities and features its original leaded glass panes, original hardware, original mirror back and we believe its original finish. This sideboard measures 61 inches in height to the top of the straight gallery at the back. Total height to the top front measures 59 inches, height from the floor to the rounded buffet top measures 35 inches, total width of 63 1/2 inches, total depth of 24 inches and weighs approximately 200 lbs. This antique sideboard has all its locks intact but the key provided just aids in opening the doors.There ... moreis an old repair to the right side cabinet door by the hinge areas which is not very noticeable unless close inspection and appears solid and tight and not an issue.I have shown this area in a close up picture. The original glass panes have no cracks or chips and all the original leaded joints are soft and malleable.so after sideboard arrives when shipped these may slightly move just a tiny bit and one may have to gently push the malleable parts of the panes back in place. Just wanted point this out as this is common when shipping. Made in England Circa 1960 Flame mahogany Satinwood string inlays Locking doors w key Dovetailed drawers Fixed wooden shelf Minor scratches and marks to top, This mahogany console/ buffet was made in England around 1960. The flame mahogany used in its construction is stunning and enhanced but satinwood string inlays and mahogany cross bands. The four drawers are dovetailed and open and close smoothly. All of the cabinet doors lock with an included key. Inside the cabinets are fixed wooden shelves(they do not remove) This console is very sturdy ... moresitting on its plinth base. There are some minor surface scratches and marks to the top which are hard to see unless the light is just right. Otherwise this mahogany console is in very good condition. It would be perfect in a dining room or under a TV. Its thin depth makes it perfect for any room. This flame mahogany console is a gorgeous piece that is the perfect size. The wooden shelves inside the cabinets are fixed. The four drawers open smoothly. Each drawer is made with dovetailed joints for maximum durability. This image shows the brass ring pulls and some of the satinwood string inlays. The left side of the mahogany console is in great shape. The top is a great size for a TV. Vintage Dining Room Set Mahogany Table, Chairs, Buffet 1940's Table Pads NR
I have up for auction an antique/vintage dining room set. That is mahogany. It consists of a table, that pulls out to extend on either end, 8 chairs(6 side, 2 captains) and full custom made padded table covers, buffet, the buffet has a lot of nice detail on the side door, the back of the buffet and drawers. There is a stretcher structure that has William& Mary feet. There ar no chips or problems with the wood. The leaves to extend on either end drop down and pull out, there are normal wear on these leaves as they slid back in under the table ends. This came from an estate of a well known Benicia family, Benicia was the original capitol of California. This is in original condition, I have left it in it's original patina. I have had this for 45 years. The side board/buuffet measures: 67" long, 38 1/4 High, 20" deep. The table ... moremeasures: 38" wide, 62" long unopened, extended 94" long, 30" high This is also in Benicia in a Victorian house on the historical register.
