Six drawers with Atomic age bronze elliptical shaped handles with small pebble designs. Geometric relief sculpted pattern on two cabinet doors that open to three hidden pull out drawers. Nine drawers total providing plenty of storage space. Beautiful clean straight lines, with Kagan style chunky tapered legs braced by a straight spanner. Very heavy construction. Brutalist Danish Modern Credenza with Headboard or Backboard This may be a Paul Evans peice I am not sure. He has one that looks very similar with different finish. This is a very unusual find. I can not find one like on google images or mid century sites. Nice credenza with three drawers, two doors with a single shelf in each cabinet. Drawers glide effortlessly and doors work well, I will be installing a new hinge on the left door which I did not do before the photos. That is why it has an uneven gap in the photos. The counter surface and face to this piece are in very good condition, nearly without blemish. The corners and base have more wear, to them. The finish is in really good shape as well as the structure. The left side as a noticeable gouge though it will probably go unnoticed as it is near the wall and floor, the left stile has ... morea chip on top and the bottom, not too noticeable with the stain over them, the far right has a minor chip to the bottom corner, not noticeable, there is a chip to the top right corner also, again not very noticeable. These veneered pieces are notorious for snagging and chipping in these places. The base had some splintering from catching on the floor in the past. I have fixed any loose pieces so that damage won't get worse. Put a little stain on them which makes them blend it well. As a former custom cabinet maker and finisher. This would all go unnoticed to me until I looked harder at the piece. I would say that it does not detract from the general appearance of the piece at all even more so because the brutalist style breaks up the lines so much. The board behind the piece is a headboard I believe. I set it up on the credenza for display and it is fitting there. You may have other preferences. It worked well for the photo though. This is in good shape with one screw hole on the top left corner. I know how it is to buy over a computer and I like to feel. The two sliding doors reveal two separate storage bays with adjustable shelving. The four drawers on the left side open smoothly. This unit is in almost perfect condition. Only condition issue is faint discoloration on the top as seen in pics 6& 7 where a top once rest. As you can see in pic 5 though. It is very hard to see this small strips from even a few feet away. Its the perfect piece for a those with limited or hard to fit space but still want the beauty and function of a LONG sleek credenza. There is literally zero footprint on the floor and its narrow depth allows placement in tight areas where most credenzas of this length would never work. Beautifully made of both solid teak and teak veneer over wood. It features a very wide open storage shelf space with two long sliding doors flanked on either side by 6 pull out drawers. Drawers are all felt lined and have lovely integrated teak ill handles. The piece can really take on different looks depending on how you place the doors(see the many many pics below for examples) or you could remove them if you want a ... morenice open display area. This is a very solid and super functional with nice detail and richness to the teak. It mounts to your wall via an integrated teak bar system using five wall anchors/ bolts. Mid Century Modern Credenza Cees Braakman Pastoe Teak Danish Vodder Wegner Era
Mid Century Danish Modern credenza designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe. This is part of Braakman's Japanese series designed in 1958. This credenza was bought in Holland in the 50's and brought to the U.S. by a Dutch family. The credenza has been professionally refinished. The measurements are 72 3/4" long x 17 3/4" deep x 28 1/3" tall. There were some minor fill ins during refinished. As seen in pic 9 at the bottom right hand corner of the unit. The bottom drawer handle on the right side, as seen in pic 3, has a chip missing. The large right side double door cabinet has a removable shelf that rests on shelf pins on the right side. I am not sure if this is original to the piece. I doubt it, because of the unused pins on the left side of that cabinet. Please see pics 10& 11 to observe this. Cees Braakman's work ... moreis considered high end design. If you look at pic 7. You will see that the inside of the drawers feature bent teak that sweeps in curves on each side of each drawer, instead of the normal 90 degree angle normal drawer insides more commonly seen. Every drawer has this bent wood bottom. There is a small bump on the top of the right cabinet door as seen in pic 6. Please ask questions or for more pics if unsure of anything. This auction is for a vintage 1950's Kai Kristiansen tambour door teak cabinet with legs The cabinet is 32 inches tall with round tapered 12 inch legs. that have dual position mounting plates.Straight down or out at an angle like the old T V's This auction is for the cabinet shown.Will follow the grain. This cabinet is in good used condition. Cabinet has tambour sliding doors with a single shelf. The shelf is on a sliding metal rail.Can be moved if you move the 3 mounting screws on each rail. This cabinet was screwed directly to the wall and has several screw holes in the interior.And 3 in the side,see photo's It is the original finish. This is a BEAUTIFUL piece comprised of both solid teakwood and and teakwood veneer. It features gorgeous double sliding tambour doors that open to reveal a spacious open interior with 2 full width pull out drawers. Both with green felt lined bottoms. Solid teak door handles have a really cool triangular shape and the piece is finished off with solid teak turned wood legs. This is very well made and nice and solid and the legs will remove for shipping. measurements Overall 33 3/4" wide by 15 3/4" deep by 30" high. Interior is overall 28 3/4" wide by 14 3/4" deep by 18 3/8" high.
