This sideboard measures 58 inches tall from the floor to the top of the sides of the chimney back-splash. 48 inches in height to the top of the front,62 1/2 inches wide and 25 3/4 inches deep and weighs approximately 200 lbs. All of the locks are intact on this piece but the key provided just aids in opening the doors at the base. The center silver-ware drawer has remnants of the old green felt lining that the new owner may want to replace with new felt. This piece features a solid walnut one board top. A chamfered back, the original wood pulls, early dove-tailed ends on the drawers and four large bun feet. It is crafted of solid mahogany(top, sides, drawer fronts, drawer secondaries, columns) mahogany veneers(stile facings on right and left of drawers and drawer blades) white pine secondaries(back, bottom, interior blocking) rosewood(knobs) and unidentified stringer inlays(appear to be holly or satinwood) The top is rectangular in form. Projecting over the front and sides with tight turrets at the corners over spiral-turned columns- these complex formations transition from a series of tight ring turnings into the spiral balusters over tiny urns and completed with a series of complex ring turnings over cork feet. The columns define the chest, greatly elevating the form with tasteful embellishment that does not distract from the overall composition. The graduated two over three drawers retain their original rosewood knobs, these flanking the inverted tear-drop escutcheons and framed as a whole in the rectangular stringer inlays. Dovetail construction dominates the chest. Through dovetails securing the sides of the case to the bottom and presumably to the interior framing upon which the top is set(unable to verify without removing the top) The back board is deeply chamfered to slide into rabbets in the sides and is secured with glued blocks inside the case and tacks along the lower edge. The drawers are likewise dovetailed front and back, the bottom board on four of the five with mitered edges to slide into rabbeted drawer sides: one of the tiny drawers varies in construction from the other four. This sideboard has amazing carved details, and is very majestic, while being delicate and ornate at the same time. There are a few places in the top carved details where the wood is cracked and beginning to split. There is a small trim piece missing from the front top decorative piece, in the “dragon’s tail”. This can be seen in the photos. The top piece by itself is 40” tall, 48” wide, with the mirror being 23” wide, 29.25” top to bottom, the trim at the top of the piece is 51” wide. There is 11.5” from the shelf to the top overhang of the piece.

A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, quartersawn oak sideboard with mottled brown marble top. The style is a combination of Renaissance and Classical. Two part construction. The top section with column supported shelf has a broken pediment type crest having finial, and spindel gallery. The marble is a meander of gray and cream in a chestnut brown color. The case has two long drawers over a two doored compartment. Fancy brass handles to all oak interior drawers, the doors with carved lion heads on tablets. Includes the lock and key. it measures 5'8" 68" tall by 4'3" 51" wide by 20" deep. the top shelf 7" deep. Below the case is a column supported long shelf over bun feet. Excellent condition: oak boards without chips or cracks, original dark finish. The marble slab is without cracks or chips.

The four front columns are twist rope carved, carved pinched drape collared, with carved scroll capitols, the front legs carved to match. The uprights between the drawers with relief carved stiff acanthus leaves. The drawers and doors have recessed panels, the drawers with the original mahogany knobs. Behind the doored compartments are three original shelves. Pine case, solid mahogany sides with recessed panel. The top is one fine mahogany board, the backsplash very fine, the side splash with nicely shaped ends. It measures 4'3" 51" tall by 6'1" 64" wide by 2' 24" deep. A very wonderful antique. Circa 1890's, quartersawn oak mirrored sideboard with deep carvings of griffin shelf supports, and applied deep carvings of scrolled acanthus leaves. Two piece construction. The case is on front carved stylized paw feet. From the griffin heads to the finials of the mirror frame are carved oak chains. Large beveled mirror. There is a long oak plate bar on the shelf. The two top drawers, and the long drawer beneath, have unusual brass exotic crescent drawer pulls. The right drawer is divided for flatware. The bottom doors each open to a compartment. The secondary wood is plain oak. The sideboard measures 6'3" 75" tall by 5'6" 66" wide by 2' deep. It is a gorgeous piece of antique furniture that can be used in a variety of places within the home. This console would be an excellent piece for any area that you need a narrow depth piece. Such as behind a sofa or in a hallway. A common motif among carved oak Victorian furniture is“the hunt” This console is true to that ... moremotif with carved fish and fowl on the doors complimented by carved flora up the sides and drawers. The drawer handles are actually hand carved leaves. A truly unique and beautiful look. Both drawers function smoothly and were created with hand cut dovetailed joints. This is a sign of proper construction and age. The doors have a keyhole and there is a lock on the right door. But no key exists. There is no catch on the left door either. Despite this, both doors still remain shut when they are closed. Inside is one wooden shelf. It is removable but not adjustable. There is some minor wear on this console as you would expect from a Victorian era antique. This consists mainly of minor wear marks around the bottom moulding and feet. The top has sustained some age separations which are purely cosmetic and do not affect the structural integrity of the piece. You will also see on the right side. Near the top, that the moulding is missing from the small rectangle section. We have called this out in the pictures. Very large highly carved antique lowboy/ sideboard. Late 1800's early 1900's. My guess you be the judge. Was found in Belgium and shipped over to Utah where I bought it. The carvings on the 4 outside doors appear to be profits and you can see horns on Moses with the tablets. The center is a mid-evil sword fight with a castle in the background. The center door holds 4 drawers, the top is felt lined for sliver ware. The 4 outside doors each have one shelf on the inside. Very solid and heavy oak with decorative iron on the bottom. Note items in or on the low boy are not included. Stands 4 feet tall about 8 feet long and 2 feet deep. Weight not sure, my brother and I was able to lift it when we were more fit. The couple I bought this from stated that they seen one like it in an antique store in Belgium for $6000 and it was not in this ... moregood of shape. Solid wormy fruitwood and walnut are well worn and have a rich old finish with warm antique patina. Wrought brass hardware and lift off iron hinges appear original on this imposing rustic furniture from southern France. Three drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms. Behind the doors is a later shelf. There are remnants of old wallpaper lining. As is typical, feet were rebuilt many years ago on this historic cabinet. This is a very good antique carved walnut Tuscan cabinet. It was purchased in 2003 in Arezzo. Tuscany, from an antiques dealer. It is in very good shape with a nice patina and beautiful wood color. No significant defects(other than the normal wear that one would expect from an old piece of furniture) except a now-fading white water ring on the surface where some thoughtless person(me! put down a plastic bucket of hot water. A little Old English Scratch Cover or perusal of Mr Google or discussion with a knowledgeable antiques dealer will probably result in advice on how to remove this easily. I just never took the time to do so. DESCRIPTION OF SECTIONS: There are three sections that come apart for easy moving. 1) The upper section has three doors with carved helmeted. Bearded men(Romans? on the two outer doors, each facing in towards the middle ... moredoor where a shield/crest is carved. The outer doors are flanked by carved acanthus leaves. The doors are separated by carved columns with carved capitels. All topped by a heavily carved pediment. Inside is one shelf running the width of the piece. Creating two shelves for storing linens, glassware, clothing, whatever. 2) The middle section is composed of two square columns and a simple back piece. Separated into three, framed sections corresponding in width to the doors above. 3) The lower section has three drawers and three doors. As above. The outer doors are flanked by carved acanthus leaves, but these are topped with carved heads. The three doors are decorated with carved swirling leaves and a shield. All of this is on carved paw feet. This breaks down into several parts: The top third The back piece Two columns which. The top surface seems to be slightly warped and the backsplash does not flush with it but it is not distracting at all. The mirror has some aged signs of hazing but it is mostly visible from an angle as photographed against a dark area otherwise it can be overlooked. In addition this buffet has 2 very heavy drawers with dovetail joinery that have shaped fronts with very attractive brass handles and fancy hardware. There are 2 cabinets that have 5 fixed shelves including a convenient*cellarette. They have 2 paneled doors adorned with shaped scroll designs and lovely brass pulls. Selling a beautiful antique French Provincial side board with wood/glass upper displays(you are buying the entire piece as shown) We recently purchased several large pieces from a local winery that is changing ownership and renovating their tasting room. All of the pieces were originally brought in at a great expense from France to showcase wine. While we love this piece. It is too large for our small shop and we are selling it. It is currently being used to display some of our antique porcelains. This is a very large and intricately carved sideboard/cabinet. It was made in two pieces- upper and lower half due to the large overall size. It is made of pine and white oak with beautiful carvings throughout. It dates to about 1880. The height of the piece is 90" at the tallest part and 84" at the shorter sides. The overall width is ... more84" The middle section is 23" deep and the sides are 18" deep. The holes next to the knobs on the bottom are where the locks have been removed but these will be put back in for the buyer. The top of the cabinet(glass uppers) have also been wired for lighting. The overall condition is excellent. There are minor scratches etc. in places as is normal for a provincial piece of this age. All doors. Hinges etc. are excellent and glass is all intact. The piece comes in 2 pieces as it is quite large and this makes for easier transport. This item can be picked up from our store Maxine's Relics in Calistoga or we can arrange local delivery. An incredible piece of early 20th Century furniture. This ornate sideboard was made by the Union Furniture Company of Rockford. Illinois. The original paper label remains on the back. This sideboard will definately make a statement in a room. This is made from walnut and burl walnut veneers. The piece measures as follows: 80.5" length 22" depth 40" height This stunning piece of furniture has lots going on with it. The top has the original arched pediment backsplash with an applied carved design. The top surface of this has a beautiful grain to the wood that is in amazing condition for the age. The piece has a beautiful mixture of carvings and applied carvings as well. The ornate stretchers are topped with bulbous finnials. The drawer fronts. ANTIQUE HEAVY CARVED DARK OAK SIDEBOARD CUPBOARD CABINET WELSH DRESSER CELTIC PC
Here is an absolutely fabulous early to mid-19th century heavy carved oak sideboard with hutch top in the tradition of a Welsh dresser with beautiful dragon motif carvings on the doors. A lovely form, hand dovetailed drawers and detailed carving on all edges and trim including dentition on three sides around the top. It has small cabinets behind the ornately carved dragon doors in the hutch section as well as display shelves, and has drawers across the top with more open cabinet space below in the base section, which is where you see the traditionally older construction front to back planking across the bottom. I've included a number of photographs in an attempt to accurately represent the design, quality, condition, construction and overall beauty of this fantastic piece as well as a detailed description above. This piece was recently ... moreimported from the UK through Edinburgh, Scotland and is truly a rare find, especially in such wonderful condition. This antique heavy carved sideboard with hutch top stand 85 inches tall and measures 69 inches wide and 17 inches deep. Front to back. It travels easy in two pieces- the top hutch top measuring 69 wide by 12 front to back by 50 inches tall. The two cabinets behind the beautifully carved doors in the top are each 13 1/2 inches wide by 9 inches deep front to back and 24 inches tall, with a shelf splitting that space with 11 inches clearance above the cabinet base and 9 inches clearance across the shelf. There are also display shelves, with 9 1/2 inches clearance above the base below the shelf, then 12 inches clearance above the first shelf and 24 inches of clearance above the second shelf, below the exquisitely carved bonnet or cornice. Below are three drawers across the top of the base. Each 18 inches wide by 13 front to back by 4 inches deep and further below behind two doors open cabinet space 64 inches wide by 15 1/2 inches front to back by 17 inches tall.
