Vintage Very Large Sideboard Buffet Carved Wood Antique Table
Very large antique buffet/sideboard with carved fruit. The dimensions are about 88" high x 61" wide x 22" deep. There are three drawers and three doors with locks and key, all work fine. I believe the wood is oak, and there is some tiger striping as can be seen in the pictures. It's in good shape for it's age, there is some chipping of the veneer at the bottom and the marble is chipped on each end and there is a crack toward the center(you can see this in the pictures) Local pickup only.

A very fine antique. Circa 1840, Empire solid mahogany, and flame mahogany veneers, linen press, or sideboard. The front has two carved half round acanthus leaf columns with capitols, the front legs carved as paw feet. There are two top drawers with flame mahogany veneers, mahogany knobs. One drawer is velver lined for flatware. The drawer interiors are maple, the bottoms chamfered. The doors below are veneer fronted, and open to a divided compartment with one stationary shelf( shelf to left side missing. The top is one solid mahogany board, a horizontal crack long its middle. The case side single boards are solid mahogany without cracks. The only venneer loss is by one capitol(see photo. The furniture measures 3'5" 41" tall by 4' 48" wide by 2' 24" deep. I do not know what type of furniture these parts came off of but suspect they may have been from an old sideboard or a server. antique tiger oak carved North Wind sideboard Gorgeous beveled mirror
This is drop-dead gorgeous! It is a tiger oak sideboard with carved faces(I believe it is the North Wind) I really hate to part with this. But I found another one that matches my china cabinet better. It has a beautiful beveled mirror, which does have a little ghosting. It has a small loss of silver in the bottom right corner about 1/4" wide. Not noticeable if you have items on the top, but I want to mention every flaw I see. Please see picture# 11. The mirror sits on the top of the buffet and the crown has pegs that it drops into on the very top shelf. There are a few scratches on the top(I think from the mirror being placed on the sideboard) I tried to photograph them in picture#12. I haven't tried to cover them with a color crayon. As they didn't bother me at all. This is a great piece if you want to make a statement in your ... moredining room. Or anywhere for that matter! It is about 25" deep, 75" tall, and about 65" long. I have the history of this piece too! It was purchased by Mr. Albert Lunt in Nebraska in 1909. It was made it Hastings, Michigan. Please take a look at my other items! More coming soon. Carved in the Jacobean style, and of unknown age and origin, but believed to be 1900-1950, this buffet has 3 drawers with antique brass pulls over 2 cabinet doors and one large drawer, all with antique brass pulls. Here is an tall oversize antique beautifully carved oak sideboard with fabulous carvings on the doors on the lower cabinets. Fronts of the drawers and all around the mantle and with three gorgeous beveled mirrors, two candle stands and lovely carved bonnet on the removable decorative back mantle over a strong sturdy base with two large drawers over two large cabinets. With the back mantle in place this sideboard stands 86.5 inches tall by 62 inches long by 20.5 inches deep, front to back. It travels in two pieces- the large base cabinet which measures 40 inches tall by 60 inches long by 20.5 inches front to back and second piece, the carved back piece with three beveled mirrors and two candle stands which measures 46.5 inches tall by 7.5 inches front to back by 62 inches long. There are two large drawers. 26 inches wide by 16 inches front ... moreto back by 3 inches deep. The lower cabinet below the drawers, behind the two lovely carved doors is 58 inches wide by 17 inches front to back by 27 inches clearance height, offering lots of storage space below the nice functional work surface. The old metal hardware is beautiful though two of the pulls are off and in a drawer as noted above with repairs to their backplates needed. The three beveled mirors have only minor pitting and are clear and intact. My multiple pictures are included to assist in accurate representation on the sideboard. This delightful buffet was recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh and I believe it to be a late 19th to early 20th century English or Scottish piece and would have been considered an expensive high quality piece of furniture even in it's day. This is an authentic crafted piece of European country furniture that has been in our family over 25 years. It was shipped by a dealer from Belgium. And purchased in California. It is identified with a label: Ameublement P. Taurisson[ Brive] 6300.00 612, which looks old and stained but I am not certain it would be classified as an antique. The measurements are 66" on the two side panels in height and 76" on the center mirrored panel. The width is 63" I have a matching piece that I will post separately. The unique thing about this piece is it totally disassembles in panels and can fit in a car. This is typical of European furniture that can be carried to higher levels in a building. Elizabethan Solid Wood, Antique, Heavily Carved Buffet / Sideboard / Cabinet
At more than 9.5' wide. 6' tall, and 23" deep this massive decorative Brazilian oak(So I have been told) piece is absolutely amazing to look at. I recently moved from an much larger house and really do not have the room for this any more. This is HEAVILY carved and EXTREMELY detailed. The top section comes off for moving. But the bottom half will require at least 4-6 men to move it. This piece has 7 locking doors. 4 drawers and 9 beautifully carved unique outdoor scenes. There is one shelf running the length of the top and one behind the doors on the bottom. This is all hand-made. It truly must be seen to be fully appreciated. I am not sure of the age. But one professional assessment put it in the Elizabethan period. There are no obvious markings indicating origin or age. Overall the piece is in very very good condition. Rj Horner Solid Mahogany Carved Dolphin Sideboard Sea Serpents
Here is another great sideboard by Horner. I purchased the entire set last year and recently sold everything except this because they didn't have a spot for it. This board has a exceptional center butlers section with 4 fitted silver drawers that can be pulled completely out and put back. It's all original condition that we have cleaned with toothbrushes to remove any dirt and grime. The top I refinished and matched so that it has a super clean flawless top. Original down to the casters and blue felt in the drawer. It measures: 73"w 59"t 27"deep. No doubt produced by RJ Horner, partial tag is faded on the back but it's still there. RJ Horner Mahogany Griffin Carved Mirror Top Sideboard
Wonderful mahogany sideboard by RJ Horner that is'slick as a pin' We just restored this one to its original grandeur. It has a great look that is as current as it was when it was built. Griffin furniture is very desirable because it's not a style that gets old. In fact many new collectors are drawn to these details. This piece is solid ribbon cut mahogany less the two bowed drawers they book matched veneer on. All original brass hardware with sea serpents cast into them. Great carving as the pictures tell.
