Antique American Made Empire Walnut Sideboard Buffet Server. 1830's-1840's.
The sideboard is from the Early Empire period. And was hand made. The primary wood is walnut, with secondary wood of southern pine. It is from the 1830's- 1840's, and was made in the South. It came from the estate of the Hendrix family in Bowman, Georgia. The top, legs and balusters are beautifully carved of solid walnut. The joints are intricately dove-tailed together by hand. The drawers and doors are walnut veneers over pine. It measures 44"50" in height, 60" in length, and 21"23" in depth. With its classic design and beautiful luster, the sideboard or server would be outstanding in traditional or modern settings. Shipping can be arranged. With seller paying packing and insurance.

Superb Burr Walnut Antique Mirror Marble Top Server or Buffet Made in England
This is a superb burr walnut marble top server with a mirrored back. Made in England circa 1880. To the base at each end it has bow ended doors with satinwood marquetry inlay. To the center it has a mirrored door. The back has a mirror with a heavily carved frame surround with a crest of fruit to the top. Has two side compartments that open with a key. In the center the two doors open and there are three drawers- top drawer has silverware storage. The detailing on this piece is very unusual and beautifully executed. The two facial carvings are different- perhaps father and son or brothers? Up for auction is a nice antique sideboard with wonderful curved bow serpentine front and ball& claw feet. The piece has three top drawers- all lined with green felt. Two side cabinets and two additional center drawers. The top middle draw has additional sections. The back legs are strait, and the front legs are a beautiful cabriole style with carved claw feet. It is solid walnut with walnut veneers on the flat parts. The walnut is a warm. Beautiful medium honey color. The marble top makes a very practical surface for serving and general use. There is a key and the lock works. Overall this piece is in very good antique condition with the usual amount of nicks and scratches in the woodwork from 100+ years of gentle use. Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival Style Marble Top Walnut Sideboard/ Buffet Beautiful Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival Style Walnut Sideboard Marble Top Circa: 1850-1880 Measures approx. 55" tall. 60" wide and 18" Front to Back. There are lots of gorgeous carvings on this piece of furniture. You can zoom in on the pictures to view these closer. The carving at the very top middle has a little chipped piece. I included a picture of this. It is on the top left of this carving. The top of the sideboard is covered with a slab of marble. The marble is in very good co ndition with no chips. Cracks or breaks. This slab of marble can be removed to move or transport the sideboard. If you are looking at the sideboard from the front. The piece that is located at the very back left side of the marble is missing a small piece of ... moremolding on the side. I included a picture of this as well. There is a door in the front that opens up to a compartment that includes 2 shelves. On the backside of the door.The top piece of the molding that holds the center wood piece of the door is missing. You can see this in one of the pictures that I provided. There is a lock located on the door. I do not have the key that fits this. The drawer located at the top of the door still opens and shuts very good. The door is dovetail construction. There are 3 shelves located on both sides of the door. Some of the shelves do have a little discoloration. But the wood is smooth and does not look like it has been wet at anytime. Please view the pictures for more on this. I cannot find any makers marks anywhere on the sideboard. I did however. Have an appraiser research it and here are the remarks that I received from that: Your piece is Victorian and in the Renaissance Revival style which was popular 1850-1880.
