This particular piece has a breakfront where the marble steps out in the middle, carved pillars coming down through the center door, outside doors and right across the top is all burl walnut with dainty inlaid trim. The two doors open on the base to expose a shelf interior. The center is the mirror panel with the pillars and is not a door. You have a double door front and a center with carved pillars. The looking glass is scratched and worn, which adds charm and character. The inlaid appears to be in nice shape.

Beautiful Victorian Eastlake walnut sideboard/buffet with marble top. It has 2 drawers and 2 doors. Each drawer has 2 hand carved leaves and nuts wood pulls. One of the pulls has a small chipped edge and screws have been placed through it. Drawers have hand cut dove tails. Each door features recessed oval panels of burl walnut. Drawers and doors have wooden keyhole covers. The marble top has normal wear for age-some stains and small chips-no cracks noted. The marble has 2 drilled holes-it appears to have previously had a mirror attached. Measurements: 42 3/4"W x 37"T x 19 1/2"D We estimate that it weighs approximately 80-90 lbs. I am selling off part of my 30 year collection. I have had this walnut Victorian marble top sideboard for many years. I bought it at an estate auction in the 1980's. It has a carved fox head on top and griffin head pulls. It measures about 83 1/2 inches tall at the highest point. It measures about 52 inches across x 20 1/4 inches deep. Original finish. Good condition for an untouched 100 year old piece of furniture. Has a spot on the marble that I have never tried to cover or remove. A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, quartersawn oak sideboard with mottled brown marble top. The style is a combination of Renaissance and Classical. Two part construction. The top section with column supported shelf has a broken pediment type crest having finial, and spindel gallery. The marble is a meander of gray and cream in a chestnut brown color. The case has two long drawers over a two doored compartment. Fancy brass handles to all oak interior drawers, the doors with carved lion heads on tablets. Includes the lock and key. it measures 5'8" 68" tall by 4'3" 51" wide by 20" deep. the top shelf 7" deep. Below the case is a column supported long shelf over bun feet. Antique Victorian Mirrored Inlaid Server Marble Top Sideboard English c. 1800's
Stunning Victorian mirrored sideboard or server. This ornate piece features carved decorations cresting each of its three sections. The center section has a large arched mirror with beveled edges. To each side of it are smaller oval beveled mirrors surrounded by filigree inlay and framed by turned columns. Each side section also features a small shelf over a larger serving area with molded edges. While the center section is slightly recessed and has been covered with beautiful rose-colored marble. Below the serving surfaces are two dovetail-jointed drawers with decorative brass bail handle pulls incised with geometric designs that resemble ankhs. The bottom half of this piece features three spacious cabinets, each framed by turned columns and with a mirrored and inlaid door that is opened with a key. This piece is in fair to good antique condition with some minor breakage including and small break to the center crest. Breaks to the arched frames around two of the lower mirrors, a sizable chip to the veneer on the center door and a crack through the mirror surround on the upper right side, but no structural damage. Gorgeous Victorian era marble top server or sideboard. This beautiful piece has been capped with a gray and white marble top with rounded corners. The server show signs of high-quality construction including a paneled back and sides and sturdy dovetail joint drawers. The two drawers have fluted edges surrounding burl walnut inlay. Pressed brass pulls with a sun-like like design and silver-friendly linings. The lower cabinet has two doors, each with a burl walnut panel framed in a molded edge. The ring shaped pulls and brass escutcheons are made from brass. This piece most likely dates from the late 19th century. No maker's marks. It could be called by many names and serve a variety of purposes: hutch, bar, sideboard, buffet, credenza, server or china cabinet. Whatever you call it, it is a lovely piece of furniture. The previous owner stated that she acquired this from Europe, specifically England. The only marking is"220" in chalk on the back. The buffet appears to be composed of tiger oak. With a medium-tone finish. The wood features carved ornamentation of fruit and foliage, a motif very popular during the Art Nouveau period from 1910-1930. The surface of the buffet has a marble top that is red in color with gray veining. There is a beveled mirror on the recessed portion of the top section of the buffet. Antique French? European? Art Deco Sideboard Here is a wonderful antique Art Deco Sideboard for you consideration. I'm not certain of it's origin but appears to be Italian or French. Since I cannot ascertain its manufacturer or age. You must be the ultimate judge. This stunning Sideboard has 4 drawers with silver ball type pulls. Each backed by a copper disc. The end swinging cabinet doors are hinged the full length and both contain a working lock(photo#4) with key. The pulls on each door are truly amazing, a perfect compliment to the quarter-sawn oak veneer inlay. There is one small area of veneer loss on the RH end(photo#8) which is easily repaired. The crowning element is the top surface which is a warm rose-colored Italian marble. The top measures 47-1/4” wide x 19-3/4” deep. The sideboard stands approx. 33” tall. A very fine antique. Circa 1870's, solid walnut and walnut burl veneers Renaissance Revival mirror backed and marble topped sideboard. Two piece construction, with original gray veined beveled marble top. The top section has three mirrors, with architectural elements and carvings, and two nick nack shelves. The case has three long drawers over three doored compartments, each compartment with a stationary removable walnut shelf. There are fine burl walnut veneers on raised panels. It has been very finely refinished, includes all locks, each lock with identical brass(six) keys. Sideboard measures 7'10" 94" tall by 5'6" 66" wide by 21" deep at center. Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival Style Marble Top Walnut Sideboard/ Buffet Beautiful Antique Victorian Renaissance Revival Style Walnut Sideboard Marble Top Circa: 1850-1880 Measures approx. 55" tall. 60" wide and 18" Front to Back. There are lots of gorgeous carvings on this piece of furniture. You can zoom in on the pictures to view these closer. The carving at the very top middle has a little chipped piece. I included a picture of this. It is on the top left of this carving. The top of the sideboard is covered with a slab of marble. The marble is in very good co ndition with no chips. Cracks or breaks. This slab of marble can be removed to move or transport the sideboard. If you are looking at the sideboard from the front. The piece that is located at the very back left side of the marble is missing a small piece of ... moremolding on the side. I included a picture of this as well. There is a door in the front that opens up to a compartment that includes 2 shelves. On the backside of the door.The top piece of the molding that holds the center wood piece of the door is missing. You can see this in one of the pictures that I provided. There is a lock located on the door. I do not have the key that fits this. The drawer located at the top of the door still opens and shuts very good. The door is dovetail construction. There are 3 shelves located on both sides of the door. Some of the shelves do have a little discoloration. But the wood is smooth and does not look like it has been wet at anytime. Please view the pictures for more on this. I cannot find any makers marks anywhere on the sideboard. I did however. Have an appraiser research it and here are the remarks that I received from that: Your piece is Victorian and in the Renaissance Revival style which was popular 1850-1880. Furniture in this style ranged from works made in shops employing skilled craftsmen to the products of large Midwestern factories. The New York shops.
