One of the pads(back left) the base rests on is missing. The spindle detail on the left side of the base under the marble is missing. There is some silver loss to the mirrors. The marble has some staining and a few scratches that don't detract from the piece. The dimensions are 46" wide x 21" deep x 74" tall overall and 39" tall to the top of the marble. Condition: Unspecified Location: Montgomery, United States This is a 1920's era Rare Australian Goldfield Burled French Marble Top Sideboard with Curio Top. This unusual Sideboard is in its original finish. ... moreAnd still retains its beautiful warm patina. Loaded with Burled and Pencil Point Inlay, this sideboard also has Solid Brass Ormaloo Decoration, Gold Toned Ornamentation and the Original Brass Hardware. We believe the origin of this piece to be French- although it is not marked, but with the level of decoration and craftsmanship and the exotic veneers used, we are fairly confident. The top curio has its original beveled glass curio sides and center beveled mirrored back. The curio doors have a working lock with key. There is a very fine scratch on the top of the left side curio glass door, and 3 small spots of silvering on the beveled part of the center mirror. The Shaped Edge Marble Top is original to the piece and is not cracked or broken, but does have a few slight areas of discoloration, to be expected considering its age. The Spacious base has 2 working dovetailed drawers, 2 lower doors with a working lock and key and full length shelf in its interior, and original brass capped feet. The curio top is removable from the marble, the marble is removable from the base, and then you have the base. This sideboard is large ... moremeasuring about 78" long(6.5 Ft) 41" tall(about 3.5 Ft) and 21" thick from front to back. It has cabinets on each end with roomy shelves inside. The center has a glass door that I display carnival glass in. There is another shelf for that display and have it and it will be included with the buffet. It has two long and wide drawers for storage and has pretty black and white solid marble that is about 2" thick. Each drawer and cabinet has silver toned and brass handles in the art deco style. The brass could use a good polishing. This piece is very versitile, I have used itin the kitchen as an island and in the living room as a TV stand. It does have a hole cut in the back for electronic component cords. The heavy marble top has a crack through it and is in two pieces. The marble is removeable to make moving the piece easier. It is very heavy with the mable approximately 300 pounds. I cannot ship this item it is for local pick up only in Mannington, WV 26582.
