This brilliant sideboard is beautifully made with great detailing and is very sturdy. Patina exquisite! It was made to last for generations and is of heirloom quality. We just picked this up and it's priced for a quick sale. This beautiful piece can be used for several purposes. A Buffet~Sideboard~Server~Bathroom Vanity. This beauty dates to ca.1930's. Original surface. No major issues, just some light wear. This stands 68.5" at the tallest point. The base is 36" tall x 20 deep and 54" long. We believe this is Cherry wood. It's very stable and a bit heavy. The mirror is beveled with slight silver loss. But not bad. This is a really nice piece of furniture.

This is a beautiful antique sideboard. It was sold to us as being mahogany wood but I can't be sure that is the case as I really don't know different woods. It has two drawers and leaves at either side that can be folded up and down. It comes from a household filled with many Country/Shaker/ Mission/ Primitive AUTHENTIC antiques. It is beautifully hand carved with spindle legs adding warmth and usefulness to any home. We are not experts. And after much research we are still not certain if it is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It is NOT a reproduction. It has a solid Primitive Americana look and feel. It seems to be either Jacobean or Tudor in style. There are some numbers stamped on the back. Some finishing nails and flathead screws were used in it's construction. The drawer is held together by dovetail grooves. See photos) There is some wear. But there is no evidence of any repairs or restoration. This is a rare mahogany Victorian sideboard. It has beautiful flame grained mahogany veneers. The top has shapely openwork galleries dovetailed together and graduated spool turned posts ending in delicate finials.The shelves and base are framed with decorative beaded arrow design moldings. The dovetailed drawer has a desk and inkwell cubbies inside.There is an age crack in the desk top(inside the drawer) The cabinet base has the original shelf. Otherwise there is absolutely no damage or breaks or cracks, and all hardware is original brass, that definitely needs to be polished to look brass again, incredible for a piece from 1885. The description as read on an 1980 appraisal of actual value,NOT INSURANCE, reads as follows. Buffet, oak, American, circa 1850s-80s, 92"wide, 36"high, 19"deep, brass hardware, 5 top drawers, pretty large some with dividers for silverware, etc. and 5 doors. I do have an appraisal for this from 25 years ago. The original key is also included. As all the drawers and cabinets have key holes to be locked. This is an Antique 1910 Victorian Quarter Sawed Oak Sideboard/ Buffet with Original Silverback Beveled Mirror. 3 Dovetail Drawers, Mushroom Drawer Pulls and Large Area Cabinet/ Cupboard, 55 inches tall x 48 inches wide x 20.5 inches deep. This is a 2 section piece with a removable mirror top. Item is structurally sound and in overall good condition. Two small veneer repairs were done prior to listing(shown) Bottom of the legs have light to moderate chips. Moderate side was depicted in the only picture shown. Mirror is secured well. Mirror was not designed to support more than it's own weight. Like leaning against it or laying your arm on top of it. Edges of the mirror have some spotting.
