Depth 23 inches across ... morefront marble. Mirror top to marble base. 26 inches. 46 inches from floor to marble base. Interior side shelves measure 17 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide. 2 side doors swing out to the side. Main body interior is 16 inches deep by 48 inches long by 30 inches tall. 2 front drawers with two side drawers. Swing out to the side as shown! Solid oak everywhere! Even the drawer linings. Draw sides and back are all oak and not an inferior wood. The interior is all oak. The doors lock but I have lost the key! Currently all the doors are unlocked! Inside at the back somebody cut a hole out. Not sure why that was done but it is there! The only newish part is an interior shelf which is in the main body. I believe it is still solid oak but it lacks the patina of the original. The glass is not damaged anywhere. The marble has exquisite shading and color. With pink, grey and purple variations. It has light scratches on the top and minor tiny chips on the edge as expected for a piece this age. It is not broken anywhere! The carvings are so wonderful with urns. Horns, ribbons, roses, tassels, swags and leaves. Both front panels have cracks on the decoration as seen in the photographs. Very reluctantly for sale! Local pick up preferred but we will work with your shipper or we can get you a quote from a company we use. Coast to coast is probably around $400 to $500 dollars. Non smoking home. It has a great crest on it. The overall size is 54 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 39 inches high to the marble and 96 inches high to the top. The door compartments are divided with a shelf on each side. There are some specks of white paint on one side where someone must have splattered paint when painting a wall that I am sure would clean up. There are a few pieces of molding missing that aren’t anything major, but I wanted to mention it. Other than three or four little sections with the molding issues, it is in really nice condition.

This Berkey& Gay dining set consists of a 3-leaf table. 8 chairs, 1 china hutch, 1 buffet and 1 sideboard. It is made of walnut, with many sections being bookmatched figured walnut- absolutely beautiful. All pieces are matching, and feature the metal medallion used in Berkey& Gay's furniture from the 1920's-1940's. Our best guess is that these pieces were made in the 20's. They're in excellent condition for this vintage. You'll see some very slight damage, shown in the last 4 photos. The table is pictured with only 2 leaves in place, the 3rd is leaning against the wall near the china hutch. The Berkey and Gay furniture Company of Grand Rapids. The brass label was used starting around the 1920's until Berkey and Gay went out of business in the 1940's. Please note that it is not uncommon to find both brass and paper labels used during the same era. Especially on dining room suites where the Berkey& Gay paper labels were quite often used to mark the dining chairs. It was bought from a family who did woodworking. They made beds. Clocks and furniture. This is one of there salesman's samples I assume they made to sell their furniture. The grandmother clock I have is from the early 1930's. It was made by this family of woodworkers. They were also painters. Antique Oak Sideboard Buffet with Beveled Glass & Mirror Gallery
This well-loved and well-tended piece has been with us for decades; we are offering as part of downsizing for retirement. It is a visually stunning and intricate piece. But has seen use and wear which is apparent to the critical eye(see pictures for the most major flaws) This is a hand-carved two-part sideboard(gallery and base) Circa 1870. A lion-motif pediment was added to the top of the mirrored gallery. Barley-twist column supports flank a 3-section vitrine of beveled mirror and glass. The mirror and glass is original and in excellent condition. Underneath the gallery is an open area with double-turned column supports. The gallery is set upon a single base of carved oak possessing 3 rectangular drawers(the centermost is partitioned inside for holding silverware) and 3 paneled cabinet doors. Plus one long rectangular drawer along the base. ... moreThe drawers flanked by barley rope twist columns; the drawers themselves possess decorative carvings and possess their original brass bail handles with embossed heads in relief. All drawers and cabinets can be open/shut easily(pictures available upon request) Parts of the original brass fixtures have been lost from the cabinet doors and the joins between the gallery column supports and the base of the gallery have lost their original façade decoration and cracked slightly open. Maintaining the original finish requires applying lemon oil 1-2 times a year. Drawers slide smoothly provided the runners are rubbed 1-2 times a year with a bar of hard soap. The maker made this buffet by hand properly distressing and hand finishing the piece so it looks very much like a genuine antique sideboard. The top has a satinwood band and half satinwood and ebony ... morestar inlay. You will notice in a few of the pictures the top seems to have a"rippled" texture to it. The ripples run both left to right and front to back and we believe are due to the humidity change coming over from England. The piece is structurally sound and the ripples are only visible in certain lights but we wanted to disclose them as much as possible. Each panel of the cabinet features an oval flame mahogany inlay with a straight grain mahogany quartered border. The effect is quite striking. Inside the locking cabinet door is one fixed wooden shelf. This buffet sits on four spade feet. And there is some minor wear to one of the feet as shown. Overall this is a very unusual piece that is sturdy and will last for many, many years to come. It has a wide variety of possible uses in the home and could be a versatile part of your decor. Exquisite antique French Provincial style buffet or sideboard made from beautifully grained cherry wood. This piece has many hallmarks of high quality construction. Including panelled sides and dovetail joints in the three drawers. Full length door hinges and ornate metal drawer pulls accent the front opf the piece as well as a simple floral carving on the valanced skirt. Three drawers and a generously sized lower cabinet make this a practical storage piece as well. The sideboard most liekly dates from around the 1840's. Overall. This piece is in very good condition, especially considering its age. There are some noticeable scratches and wear to the top surface and a few areas with eveidence of worm damage. One of the feet also has some signs of a minor repair. No other breaks or damage beyond light wear consistent with use. I was told by an antique dealer that this is from the mid to late 1800's. Please feel free to ask any questions. Has the original glass and key for the locks. Great overall condition. Has a small crack in the counter top area as shown. The dimensions are: 90" high. 55" wide, 23 1/2" deep. The counter-top is 38 1/2" high. 2-10"x48" shelves in the upper area. You are bidding on a signed buffet or sideboard signed by with the copper brass metal label that reads"QUAINT FURNITURE Stickley Bros. Co. Grand Rapids Mich. It still retains it's beautiful dark oak original finish. My photos are awful. The finish is dark like it looks in the photos but there is no light& dark spots like it appears in some of the photos. I believe it is the flash on my camera against the dark original finish. Stickley company makes a reproduction buffet similar to this original#89-711, retail price $6,537.00, the store I checked with in Chattanooga, Tn quoted me $4,249.05 plus $80.00 delivery fee. I am listing this original sideboard for less than the reproduction, $3995.00 which I think is a great starting price. It is selling without reserve which means that if you bid on this item it will start the auction ... moreand if no one else bids on it, you win the item, there is no reserve price. The item number on the back of my buffet is#5039, then it has 3 letters underneath the item number and the word oak, see photo. I'm sure Stickley Brothers Quaint Furniture was quite expensive when it was new just as it is today. The quality is just unsurpassed. You will see the beautiful backsplash, lovely original hardware, ect. but to find pieces with their original dark oak finish intact, well it's just nearly nonexistant. Thats what makes this piece so great is the original finish and the original metal label. The drawers are all dovetail construction as you can see from the photo of the one with the label, this is the silverware drawer. The felt lining was probably soiled after years of use so it has been removed as you can see from the finish inside this drawer. I have left this piece exactly as I found it but we can or you can reline the drawer quite easily. The condition of this item is great, tight and it only has the normal wear that you would find on a piece in original finish and for it's age. It's made from solid oak colored a warm dark brown. The Carrera marble top is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, discolorations or other damage. The woodwork is also in excellent antique conidtion with minor chips and scratches comsistent with its age. Dimensions: 71" high. 49" wide and 20" deep.
