Offering up this wonderful vintage 800 purity silver Pie Server for bids here. This came from a really old estate. The marks on this are pretty hard to read/ identify. My best reasearch leads me to believe this is a German piece made by Breidenstein& Renauld. There is a triangular mark that is consistant with this maker. I could be wrong about this. This is a set of 42 pieces in the 1936 pattern Coronation by Oneida. Included is the following: eleven 6.25" salad forks. Four 7.5" forks, fourteen 7.5" grille forks, two 6 7/8" butter knives, one 8 3/8" meat serving fork(with an F mono on the back) one 6.25" butter spreader, eight 6 1/8" teaspoons(one with an F mono on the back) one 4 3/8" pierced bon bon server, and one 6 1/8" jelly server. The pieces have noticeable wear from handling and use, but are in acceptable condition and would make an ideal addition to an elegant mealtime occasion. Ornamental eating utensils. This is an absolutely gorgeous Highly carved Victorian Server/Buffet/Sideboard. There is a makers label on it. But unfortunately is is almost worn off and the maker can't be read. It could be Pennsylvania House or one of the other major quality makers. One thing this piece doesn't lack is quality. Dove tailed drawers. And lots of detailed carvings. Up for auction is a very nice antique Gorham sterling silver fish serving knife in the Newcastle pattern. Circa 1895. The server is in very good condition and made of heavy gauge silver. It is 7 7/8" long with the blade almost 1" wide. This is the smaller of the two sizes in this pattern. Gorgeous Hepplewhite Federal style sideboard. A serpentine front and tapered legs create clean. Classic lines. Inlaid borders and designs contrast beautifully with the deep-colored mahogany finish. Two large drawers on the left and one in the center provide plenty of storage space in addition to the lower cabinet. False drawer fronts on the right open on brass hinges to provide storage for taller items. Brass drawer pulls and key surrounds. Unfortunately two of the pulls do not match, and were likely replaced at some point. This sturdy piece has dovetail joints in the drawers and mortise-and-tenon joints visible in the back. Overall. The sideboard is in very good condition. There is a dark area on the top as well as some light scratching and other wear consitent with age and use. There is also some wear to the feet. Antique Thomas Prime Fish Server Set - Exquisite Detail Ornamentation -Excellent
This is an Antique Fish Serving Set by Thomas Prime& Sons of Birmingham. England. It is highly ornamented and detailed and features openwork of vines and flowers. The craftsmanship is of the highest quality. The handles are ornamented with deep scroll work, culminating with an oval and a shell. I've taken several photographs in bright light so that you can see the quality and condition of these pieces. The condition is excellent with no worn spots to the plating and only very minor age appropriate dings to the handles. Both pieces bear the hallmark of TP&S(Thomas Prime& Sons) the mark MP under a crown and within a shield, indicating the process of magneto plating, the A1 mark, indicating the high quality, The word Prime written in script with"Pri" above"me" There is also the mark of another crown. And a ... morecross within a shield. The TP&S mark was registered by Thomas Prime in December, 1859. The other marks appear to date this set between 1865-1892. This set is a wonderful large size for serving. The knife is 13 1/8 inches(33.5 centimeters) long and 1 15/16 inches(5 centimeters) wide. The fork is 9 7/8 inches(25.2 centimeters) long and 2 3/8 inches(6 centimeters) wide. Thomas Prime of Birmingham. England, established his firm in 1818. In 1844, a magneto plating machine was made for Prime by J.S. Woolrich, and is still on display at the Birmingham Science Museum. Michael Faraday is said to have visited Prime's factory to see how his theories of electro-magnetic induction were being put to practical use. In 1851, his sons joined the firm and it became Thomas Prime& Sons Magneto Plate Works. Prime exhibited at the Great Exhibition at the Crystal Palace in 1851, and at the Paris Exhibition in 1856. Selling is a Victorian silver covered vegetable or serving dish with warmer. The top knob features a figural pumpkin or squash. The dish measures 10" across and all 3 pieces are 8" tall. Together all the pieces weigh 4 pounds. We took a photo of the hallmarks. Which are on the dish, we are not familiar with it and could not find anything about it. There is a French coat of arms"Hoc Age" Do This) The condition of the piece is very good. The lid and the dish are both numbered 2. The lid is in very good condition showing only minor wear. Aloha, Up for Auction from my family heirlooms is an Old Fabulous Japanese Nippon Flying Geese Pattern creamer from our family tea set. It is hand painted and has a Light Blue background. Very detailed raised gold flowers with the White geese flying over; as if they are preparing to land on a quiet pond. It also has gold gilding on the handle. The raised work is very detailed and fabulous. The colors are light and airy, subtle, and tasteful. The raised gold dots and jewels that surround the top, the spout, raised parts of the flowers and the edge of the lid were individually placed and fired, then painted. The creamer is 3 7/8" tall, 3 7/8" across the base, and 4 1/2" from the handle to the lip. The Saji& Kariya Co Nippon S&K mark dates this piece to the turn of the century 1892 to 1912. Two antique etched plates. I don't know the dates. But many items from this owner range in age from the 1930's to 1960's. The flat plate has star design in the middle and floral etching around the outside. The top of plate is smooth and has a lot of wear-tiny hairline scratches. Perhaps it was used as a butter dish. Measures 6.25 inches in diameter. The center handle serving plate has leaf etching design on the backside. The diameter is 6 inches and handle is 2.5 inches tall. Age is not definite, but from what I know and who I know, we believe it was made sometime between the very late 1800s to the very early 1900s, up to 1920. The server measures 55 1/4" wide. 21" deep, and 62" high to the top of the mirror. Speaking of the bevelled heavy mirror, which is in excellent condition, the frame has a marvelous bronze decoration in the middle that looks similiar to a cartouche; where one would expect family initials. All the wonderful bronze ormalu decorations are intact and magnificent. The Italian marble is very outstanding as well and in excellent condition. There were two(because I felt them) fleabite and I mean tiny.nicks on the edge. They are not noticable to the eye. Other than that the marble top and two flanked panels of marble are all intact, NO cracks or stain, etc.they are very nice. The three doors all have original locks. The doors are elaboratly carved. Each end having a basket of flowers and the middle looks like a shell of some kind. They were very tastefully executed. Shipping for this piece varies due to distance. Ship fees in Suffolk. Acorn" pattern sterling silver cake slice server by Carl Poul Petersen. Canada. Circa 1947. Size: 9 7/8 inches length, with hammered blade and figural peapod handle. Stamped on reverse of handle HAND MADE STERLING, together with Petersen's logo. Carl Poul Petersen was apprenticed to Georg Jensen in Denmark from 1908-1913, marrying Jensen's daughter in 1928. In 1929, he relocated to Canada where he was employed by Henry Birks and Sons in Montreal, prior to opening his own studio in that city in 1944. He produced 11 flatware patterns, as well as hollowware and silver jewelry, and he redesigned the Stanley Cup of hockey in 1962. He died in 1977, thought he firm of C.P. One could guess maybe it is a pie server from the inner pieces: I have never seen a complete one of these before. It consists of the pedestal base. The finialed lid, a cobalt blue w/white enameled insert pan, and a silver plated ring that goes around the top of the insert pan. The lid would fall right in without the pan and ring. I HOPE WE ALL LOOK THIS GOOD WHEN WE GET THIS OLD, LOL! The handles and finial are swirly art-nouveau. Setting off the elegant curvy panel design. This is a solid heavy piece, and displays well(at least from the right direction, lol! The backstamp reads, PAIRPOINT ... moreMFG CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE BEDFORD MASS. PAT APRIL 12 1904 with the# 2481. BUT. It has issues. It looks as though at one point someone perhaps dropped something heavy square on the top of the finial. Which is pushed down and tipped to one side slightly. Could perhaps be popped out? There are some dimples and dents on the bottom of the rounded edge of the pedestal piece. The enameled pan has large chips on the top edge, and dimples visible from the bottom. The lid is warped, not sitting as it should, probably from the force of whatever fell or dropped on it. It is tarnished, including some spotting; can see all these things in the pics. Please use pics and zoom. Measurements when put all together: Width. Edge of handle-edge of handle: almost 12 1/2" Height to finial top: roughly 9 1/2" Your satisfaction is important to me! All issues can be resolved; please leave feedback when you are satisfied. Up for auction is this Unique Antique Black Painted Toleware Florals Tin Serve Tray This tray has the original label on the back from Fine Arts Studios Phil. Penn/ The tray is highly colorful with hand painted florals in blues, pinks and white colors. The tray would date to the 1930's. The toleware painted tray is in excellent condition. The tray has no cracks, chips, or repairs. The antique tray measures 12 1/3" by 16 1/4" The back has the original label from Fine Arts Studios. Antique Carved Oak Server Made in England Circa 1880.
This is an amazing Server with superb carvings to the top and base. There are 3 drawers to the base. Which have no handles, but you put your finger under the drawer to pull it out, maybe it was made so children could not pull the drawer out. There are two carved fish either side. And carved faces to the back, which may be the family. The condition is very good. And l would say it was made in England or possibly Wales circa 1870, l purchased it from a house in South Wales UK. The top comes of the base so it is easy to transport. Measurements are 74 long 80 high 24 deep. The base has what we call a dog kennel to the center were the dog would have slept.with two heavily carved doors to either side.
