It is absolutely gorgeous and while there are no maker’s signatures that we can find, we can tell you that this piece was undoubtedly made by one of the finer cabinet makers’ of the era. This exquisite sideboard appears to be wearing its original finish and is abundant with many very desirable features! The lovely tiger oak top beveled mirrored gallery of this phenomenal sideboard is graced with gadrooned and foliate scroll carvings across the top and is supported on each side with powerful carved roaring winged griffin sconces. I don't know the manufacturer and can find no label on it but judging from the quality of the cabinet and the hardware it could be Stickley. Limbert, or another comparable maker from the very early 1900's. All solid quarter sawn tiger oak throughout. No breaks or repairs. Nice original finish with only normal light surface wear. There is one pull missing on the bottom drawer. Measurements are 58" long. 57-1/4" tall to the top of the mirror, 43" height to the counter top, and 22-1/2" deep. These measurements include the 1-3/4" height of the removable wooden foot casters. If you like the Arts& Crafts era furniture here's one with exceptional style and condition that is ready to set into your home. You are welcome to pick this up at my home in Massillon. ANTIQUE L & JG STICKLEY SIDEBOARD MISSION OAK ARTS & CRAFTS
We can't believe our good fortune. We have found a nice antique mission oak L&JG Stickley sideboard#734. It has the Handcraft decal in the top center drawer. It has good fumed oak color with normal wear.This model is a very hard to find this form. Due to the desirable smaller size. This measures 48 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 44 inches at the top of the plate rail. It came from a home in central Florida and was"touched up" by a local refinishing shop before I found it. It dates from about 1906-1910 and is in very good"as found" condition. The top has been sanded and refinished and the entire piece has an overcoat with color added. The hardware is perfect and the patina is lovely. The last one of these was I saw was a train wreck, and still brought a fair price considering the condition. I believe in offering ... moregood pieces at fair prices, please see my feedback for further confirmation of this fact. The only area I see of any real imperfection is the left side panel has a seam separation which has been re-glued, but touched up.

Take a look at this gorgeous oak triple beveled glass sideboard with multi raised panels. A bulbous design front, paneled sides, multi tapered ... moreturned spindles, and is heavily carved, that dates from the 1890s. This came off a container from Europe, and although it looks American, it is most likely English. It would make a fantastic bathroom sink cabinet, if you could deal with the height of the base, because of the way the base has a carved middle drawer that bows out with ridges and the bulbous carved front. Just across the front of the base it has more than 20 deeply carved raised panels! If you took off the doors and drawer fronts, you could hang them on the wall as works of art. The top of the base doesn’t just have an ogee beveled edge, it has an amazing beveled edge that is twice as wide as normal. It has its original hardware, an applied bracket foot base, and then you look at the top. It has triple mirrors, the two outside large, oval and of beveled glass, and the center mirror of beveled glass with 45-degree corners. There are all kinds of raised panels, and there are candle shelves for lamps, and incredible acanthus carved pillars with cornices on top. This great example full of character has its original top over two frieze drawers and a further two fielded panel cupboard doors flanked by panelled sides and is raised on stile feet. I have owned this beautiful oak sideboard for about 10 years. It is in nice shape with what I believe is the original finish. It has a few condition issues(see photos) Nothing serious, I have itemized them below. It measures 86 inches wide. 23 inches deep, and 51 inches tall. It is made to come apart. So it is much easier to move than it appears. My Father told me this was common in northern Europe as stairways and doors were often narrow. The family I bought it from purchased it in the 1950's from a friend who imported antiques from Belgium. for auction a wonderful antique quartersawn oak server or could be used as a sideboard in a smaller dining room sitting. it has great form and beauty. The top and bottom sides are bombayed, the center drawers are bowed in a fine fashion. three curved upperdrawers, the center with felt. it has two doors on either side as you see. the piece is presented in original finish, all the hardware is original and perfect including the door locks. each drawer has original lock, all locks work with ease and i have the original key for it. it has two fierce whole bodied griffins on the mirror crest which are carved in a very fine fashion. it has the original beveled mirror which needs to be cleaned. as i was cleaning the woodwork on the mirror frame some of the new life got on the mirror and i just wiped it off, should have used some water. anyway, the ... moremirror will clean up nicely and only has a few minor areas of silver loss. this is a very heavy piece, i can barely lift one end with the drawers out and the mirror off. it was made by a superior cabinet maker, possibly horner of new york, as the drawer construction with the birdseye maple bottom are very indicative of his work. it could have been made by berkey and gay from mich. really doesn't matter who made it. it is constructed with perfection. it has 4 very well carved claw feet that support it. the cabinet is in wonderful antique condition with great patina. i cleaned and polished it as it has been in storage for a few years. it is quite solid and everything that is suppose to work, works like the day it was made. there are no major blemishes but on a piece that is 120 years old you can expect a few little bumps and bruises, however, i would classify this piece as near mint condtion. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. good luck fyi, i paid 2000 for it years ago, i am starting it at 2300. ebay has triple their fees, it used to be 3 percent, they raised to 10 percent, greedy bastards. at any rate, their commission and listing fees etc. wi

Antique Heavily Carved Oak Sideboard European Origins Needs TLC
We are pleased to offer to the market this stunning European oak sideboard. This piece measures 53.75"W x 76.5"H to the back top x 19.5"D. It is 33.5" to the height of the work area. The top boasts an elaborate center carved panel depicting a scene with a man and a woman. This panel is flanked with more elaborately carved sections. Above and below there are spindles and on the sides there are also pinwheel style spindle& carving designs. There are elaborate floral designs surrounding the center panel. and separating the center panel from the panels with the pinwheel designs. Above the top spindles. The crest also boasts elaborate acanthus leaf carving with a center medallion of a bust of a man. The corners of the crest have small finials on them. One of these is broken off but we do have it. The work surface on this ... moreis in good condition with light surface scratches. Divets, and dings that are age and use appropriate. Below the work surface there are two carved front drawers with a carved medallion between them. The drawers have early joinery as shown in the photos. These also have what appears to be the original brass hardware. At the base of the piece there is a large surface for storage with two columns in the front as well as a small spindled gallery shelf. The bottom molding is ornately carved with the same floral medallion. There is a large crack and piece missing to the bottom molding. This sits on bun feet. There is one foot missing on the back and there is also one cracked. There are age and use appropriate scratches. Dings, and divets on this piece. There are areas that are also in need of repair. This good sized example has a triple plate rack upstand over base with single deep drawer and single cupboard. Each with applied geometric mouldings and cast handles being raised on turned legs with stretchered supports.
