Drawers have solid mahogany sides with hand cut dovetail joints and original embossed bronze hardware. Original mirrors have a little antique smoke and flaws to show their age. Beautiful carved oak buffet. lower doors are carved and upper 2 drawers are rounded. the top looks to be an add on and not matching wood but still go nicely with the piece. The long drawer in the middle needs slight repair to the bottom of the drawer to keep it from sticking. original glass knobs are gone but easily found in antique markets.this piece was covered in multiple layers of oil paint. i stripped and stained it about 15 years ago. 24" deep. 48" wide, 55" high, and without mirror 37" high Item is for local pick up. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's- 1900's, Jacobean style solid quartersawn and plain oak server. The case is on eight barley twist legs with barley twist cross stretchers, having carved rosettes on the connectors. The shirts are carved scrolls. The two doors and two drawers have the original brass rosette escutcheons and drop pulls. Doors to the compartments retain their lock, no key. The backsplash is large and imposing, and removable. The interiors have red contact paper, which is removable. The server measures 57-1/2" tall by 55" wide by 21-1/2" deep. Excellent condition: oak boards without chips or cracks(tiny chip to rosette carving on leg. Original unworn finish, top surface without staining.

We have hand stripped. Re-glued, sanded, stained, applied multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer and applied two reproduction handles and an escutcheon that we antiqued. Now we have one solid oak high quality dessert server to offer you, which is hard to find back in the 1940s sets. Imagine how hard it is to find back from the Eastlake era! Believe it or nor this server still has the backsplash with it and it has little tiny balls carved in each corner. It is simply stunning in a medium oak stain. It has a lot of eye appeal. It is 37.5 inches wide, 20 inches deep, 5 inches from the floor on the first shelf, the second shelf is 18 inches from the floor, 36.5 inches high to the top from the ground and it is 45 inches high to the top of the finials on the server. The backsplash itself is 5.5 inches high. The drawer is dove tail and has two shelves underneath to offer plenty of storage. Up for auction is a beautiful buffet server. I believe its made from solid oak. Has nice carvings. Measures 38 1/2" high X 66" wide X 22 1/4" deep. The 2 drawers measure 30 1/4" across and are 6" deep. The drawers are dovetailed. The top drawer has a removable wooden silverware tray. Please look at ALL the pictures carefully. This will make a nice addition to anyone's home. I also have the China hutch that matches this server but it will be sold separately.
