Gorgeous Antique Carved Italian Walnut Sideboard Cabinet Credenza Ca. 1800
By far. One of the nicest pieces of furniture we have had the opportunity to offer. This is a wonderfully carved server or cabinet made of solid walnut. It had 2 drawers above double doors. The interior has a fixed shelf. The columns are full carved and burled. The handles are also carved wood. The condition is excellent. One of the cabinet doors is slightly warped but still works perfectly. The finish is beautiful and the color warm and consistent. In 15 years, this is the first of it's kind that I've had the opportunity to own. This is a true antique. A fine piece of furniture. It would go nicely in any decor. Credenza has a full locking roll-top with leather topped desk. Full cabinet on right side with shelf and four drawers on the left. Desk has an amazing full gallery removable top piece, spoon carved in center with open carved edge detail, matching the base. 3 desk keys and original caster wheels are included. There is no key for the side cabinet. Cabinet does not latch closed. The Indianapolis Cabinet Co. closed its doors sometime in the late 1800s. Please ask for additional pictures if needed. Condition: The cabinet is in amazing condition for its 150 plus years of age- the roll-top and lock function beautifully. All ... moredrawers and cabinets push/pull smoothly. Mid Century Modern Sideboard Buffet Credenza Antique Vintage
Up for auction. Mid century era Sideboard/Buffet. This piece I believe was made by The Lane furniture Company. It has a bottom shelf made from caning, there are a couple of small breaks in the cane but, no holes. Not sure on what the wood is, Walnut? The top in the back there is a really small area where it looks like someone dropped something sharp on it and made an imperfection. The back is wood. The legs taper down. This is really great size for a small apartment or home. Would make a great entry table or bar. Measurements are 42"L. x 14"D. x 29"H.

DESCRIPTION: Bidding is for an antique late 1800s Walnut Burl Credenza with beautiful hand carved trim and dome-shaped fruit-carved mirror. The glass cabinets have been lined with red velvet by previous owner. The fabric is only tacked in and can be easily removed. All three doors lock with the same key. Glass is original and without cracks or chips. The left side door trim is chipped at the tip top of the fleur de lis(see photo) But this was done very long ago, as the wood has a patina from being exposed for so long. The serpentine top is original but previous owner refinished it(see photo) There are several minor nicks and scratches as viewed in the photos. The back is stepped to accommodate a chair rail(see photo of side view) Origin is unknown. I can provide additional photos for further inspection of this piece upon request. The glass cabinets have been lined with red velvet by previous owner. The fabric is only tacked in and can be easily removed. All three doors lock with the same key. Glass is original and without cracks or chips. The left side door trim is chipped at the tip top of the fleur de lis(see photo) but this was done very long ago, as the wood has a patina from being exposed for so long. This piece is simply gorgeous! Discovered at the most amazing estate sale! The owner was a very prominent antique and doll house collector. Great Opportunity It is very hard to find credenzas and TV stand that fit in antique environments. This is the perfect piece. A low dresser in height that is hard to find and perfect for your big screen. Of course it would be a great dresser as well. It is so unique and different then most pieces. The doors and drawers work well are sturdy and slide nicely. The bottom drawer's bottom sags down some and rubs when opening it. This slows the drawer down some. But it still opens pretty easily. Left door is a little tight also, not bad. The entire piece is in great shape without really anything to point out to you. I know you will be happy with it.
