Here we have a beautiful antique Victorian era server or storage cabinet. It would make a perfect stand for any number of things. It has a lot of storage inside behind that big door too. It measures 36" wide by 35" tall by 24" deep. It is also on wheels and rolls very smoothly across the floor. The finish seems to be original. The inside of the drawer bears a tag for“G.T. Rackstraw. Worcester, England. Made from fine mahogany wood, this buffet has beautiful color and an attractive look. The company G. T. Rackstraw originated in England around 1749. They specialized in making fine furniture of mahogany. Yew, and oak. Their focus was to make a high end item that would last for many ... morelifetimes. Because of their quality construction they are rarely sold, but instead handed down from generation to generation. We feel this sideboard was made around 1960. The wonderful mahogany has a splendid grain and beautiful color. Satinwood inlays and mahogany cross bands provide subtle. But necessary contrast around the doors, drawers, and top. Further enhancing the beauty of this sideboard are fluted details between the drawers and doors and down the legs. The legs themselves are tapered and end in spade feet. The cabinet doors stay closed with a spring latch and the drawers slide smoothly on wooden runners. The brass ring pulls are in great shape and are the right proportion for this size buffet. The only blemish on this bow front sideboard is a small separation in the top on the right hand side. We have pictured this in the photos. This separation is from shrinkage of the solid mahogany top that occurs when the wood breathes. This is a cosmetic phenomenon and does not affect the integrity of the top. For Auction: Stunning antique buffet/ server. From around 1880's to 1900. Nice hand carving work on this piece and It is the original finish with great patina. Both bottom doors lock and have key. The server has some wear for its age. But it is solid with no loose joints and is in overall great condition. Top has a split(see pic) But it has been glued so it is solid and secure. Antique Buffet or Server Table for Restoration VALUE
Here is a neat old antique Buffet side or serving table for sale. Some might even call it a dresser. But its more buffet style. Will be a beauty of an old piece of furniture if somebody takes the time to refinish it, that why its value priced. The repairs will be simple enough, the back right leg needs fixed, should be able to just drill a new hole for the screw. One piece of the right door needs glued back on, and it is missing one ring on one of the handles, all are pictured. Fine Antique Sheffield Silverplate Covered Dish Entree / Buffet Server
This is a fine Antique Covered Entree Server with a Hot Water Compartment believed to be Sheffield. England, late 19th century. This piece is deeply ornamented with hand chased floral and leaf Rococo designs in patterns nearly identical to other Old Sheffield pieces. These pieces are unmarked, however, the base metal is heavy copper and the process of"layering" silver appears to be present when viewed under magnification as consistent with genuine Sheffield. The server is comprised of 4 pieces: a hot water compartment on legs. The inner dish, a lid, and a detachable lid handle. The inner dish can be used separately without the hot water compartment and has its own bottom support. The detachable lid handle allows the lid to sit upside down to be used as an additional serving dish. The lid is lightly marked with a beautiful small ... morelion armorial. This piece measures approximately 14 inches by 9 inches by 7 inches tall. It is in very good antique condition with minor dents, some light scratches to outer surface, and some worn spots to the plating, mainly to the underside of the interior tray(see photo 12) There are a few deeper scratches in one of the inner dishes from use. AMERICAN PRIMITIVE ANTIQUE BUFFET/SERVER/CABINET This listing is for an Antique Server. It has been in the owner's family for the last sixty years. It comes from a household filled with many Country/Shaker/ Mission/ Primitive AUTHENTIC antiques. It is beautifully hand carved with spindle legs adding warmth and usefulness to any home. We are not experts. And after much research we are still not certain if it is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It is NOT a reproduction. It has a solid Primitive Americana look and feel. It seems to be either Jacobean or Tudor in style. There are some numbers stamped on the back. Some finishing nails and flathead screws were used in it's construction. The drawer is held together by dovetail grooves. See photos) There is some wear. But there is no evidence of any repairs or restoration. There is a blemish where a child once painted a face with a magic marker at the top of a back spindle leg. See close-up photo. The server is a deep honey brown in color. In order to bring out blemishes. Some photos were taken in a bright daylight. Most of the photos were taken in different types of light. With two different cameras and on different days. The color may be inconsistent in the photos. But this provides a more informed look at the item. Dimensions: The Server is 37& 1/2" tall at the front. It is 44& 1/2" tall at its back. This includes the splash guard& back spindle leg. It measures 38" wide/across and 16& 7/8" deep from front to back. The long drawer in the middle needs slight repair to the bottom of the drawer to keep it from sticking. original glass knobs are gone but easily found in antique markets.this piece was covered in multiple layers of oil paint. i stripped and stained it about 15 years ago. 24" deep. 48" wide, 55" high, and without mirror 37" high Item is for local pick up. The only flaws being a few scratches, and nicks, as shown in pictures. Otherwise there is absolutely no damage or breaks or cracks, and all hardware is original brass, that definitely needs to be polished to look brass again, incredible for a piece from 1885. The description as read on an 1980 appraisal of actual value,NOT INSURANCE, reads as follows. Buffet, oak, American, circa 1850s-80s, 92"wide, 36"high, 19"deep, brass hardware, 5 top drawers, pretty large some with dividers for silverware, etc. and 5 doors. Refrigerator style doors, carved upright struts support top cupboard. Mirrored back. More of a bar/server piece. French deco circa 1930's. See photos for specs. Antique English Sterling Silver Covered Buffet Server London 1800's 56+Ounces
Make an offer on this lovely piece of English Sterling Silver from the 1800s. First of all.I had taken this to a local antique mall.and all they did was basically weigh it.I did a lot of my research on the marks online. The piece weighs approximately 1770 grams.or nearly 57 troy ounces. The entire piece is 15.5" x 8 7/8"about 7.5" tall. Each piece was made by a different person.in a different year. I found this odd. But the piece do match nicely. Starting with the lid.you will see a handle which looks like bone or ivory. The hallmarks are on the inside of the lid. R.H. was the maker. I found out that is Robert Hennel III. The city was London.and a scripted G for 1843. There are some scratches and a couple minor dings in the cover. The is a crest in printed as well in the lid.which reads Audaces Fortuna Juvat. I did my best ... moreto get some nice pics for you. The handled tray portion also has the crest imprinted on the inside of it. It is also hallmarked London with a date letter N.1808. I do not know who the maker was on this.its marked R.C. or R.G.but I can't make it out. There are also scratches and such from use.however.I don't see and minor or major dings/dents. My favorite part of this ensamble is the base.with its beautiful craw feet! The base was not polished or cleaned like the other 2 pieces were.so it still has a nice patina. Nicely marked with the London mark.and a date letter F for 1801. The maker on this was W.R.I could not figure out who that was. Please look at all the pictures closely before submitting an offer. I will consider all offer.so long as you don't try and get me for scrap prices. If you are not happy with the item.you may return it for a full refund.but please note.I do not do partial refunds. Spectacular& rare customized antique side table Check out the stunning gorgeous walnut flame/burl grains on the top.incredible beauty which was hidden under a failed opaque finish I restored this table using my own special black distressed hand rubbed finish.The entire finish was hand restored including hand scraping& sanding the top. By design. I left nicks, dings, veneer chips, and character marks in the wood prior to restoration. You can see the beautiful chestnut colors show through the hand rub distressed black finish. I sealed the black with hand rubbed varnish as a glaze to provide a special depth and beauty. The table dates from Circa 1920.the Kiel company operated their second plant in Milwaukee. It has great details The top is made from a 4 way book-matched(4 pieces of veneer book-matched together)walnut burl veneer.I meticulously hand rubbed 10 coats of varnish to achieve the incredible luster and depth which showcases the walnut wood.there are small natural cracks& a few tiny dings in the center of the top burled area.all character is consistent with its age. That is what makes it a beautiful antique The medallions on the ends. Sides& legs are made from Bakelite(original resin) or Bakelite type material. The medallions have some cracks and a few medallions have cracks& small pieces missing.
