The desk is vintage and is made from solid wood. I am unsure of its exact age or manufacture. The grain and finish on the desk are quite beautiful. The supports for the desk top slide in and out automatically when the desk writing surface is lowered and raised. The inside of the drawers is a little dusty and will need a light cleaning. The drawer fronts have book-matched crotch mahogany veneers and cockbeading. The fitted interior(sorry for the dust) has burl walnut veneers, ebonized pulls and boxwood stringing. The interior cupboard door opens to reveal a drawer with a secret drawer behind. See photo) The desk measures 44" high by 39 1/2" wide by 20" deep. In overall very good condition. There is some minor loss to the veneer on the feet which we will restore for you. The desk lid is cupped which makes the desk impossible to lock properly though we do have a key. I don't think we want to try to address this particular issue but please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. There is also some cracking of the veneer on the lid but it is all stable, nothing loose. The desk has great color and patination and is guaranteed to be as described.
