$33.24 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Fremont, United States Vintage Cylinder Desk This is a fantastic vintage cylinder desk. It is a Mid-Century Danish Modern piece. It was made in Sweden. There is actually a label ... moreon the bottom with a maker's mark. Which we have been unable to identify. I have provided a picture of it- I believe it is a combination of the letters M S and I. It is also marked"No. 58747" and"528" The original hardboard back was marked"valnot" which means"walnut" in Swedish. We had to replace the back so this indicator has been removed. We are not sure which parts of the desk are composed of Walnut. Most of the desk surfaces have a gorgeous veneer. The star feature of the desk is the perfectly curved cylinder top. Which displays a quad-cut mirrored veneer design. When opened, there is a writing surface that can be pulled out. It measures 33 3/4" by 17" It sits 28 1/4" off of the floor. There are 5 cubbies which are all 3 7/8" tall. They vary in width from left to right: 8" 1 7/8" 10 7/8" 1 7/8" and 8" There are 3 small drawers between the writing surface and the cubbies. All of the drawers are 1 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" deep. The top and bottom drawers are 8 7/16" wide, and the center drawer is 12 5/16" wide. There are also 3 drawers below the writing surface, each of which measures 4 1/8" tall, 16" deep and 31 3/16" wide. This is in great condition overall with some general signs of age or use. There are some chips in the veneer on the bottom/front portion of the bottom drawer. The cubby and small drawer structure on the interior of the desk is slightly bowed. This does not effect the functionality in any way. The back of the desk has been professionally replaced with a material very similar to the original. Please see pictures for more details. It is Victorian with burl walnut panels and hand ... morecarved crest. It has picture frame molding around the drawers and panels. It came in from storage with nicks, dings and scratches. One piece of molding is missing on one of the drawers and there is a slight cup to one of the drawers. Overall, it is a good sturdy desk dating from the 1870s. It has carved handles on all the drawers. The left hand side has 4 drawers and 3 drawers on the right hand side, one of which is a deep file cabinet drawer. The size of the drawers are 11 inches wide, 25 inches deep, 4 inches tall, the bottom drawer on the right is 10 inches tall. This is a good candidate for refinishing. The writing surface pulls out and shows felt that is worn out.

The desk features large lion heads as handles on the drawers, and the front of the desk has lion heads as simulated drawers. Up for auction are 3 antique/vintage cast iron claw feet for furniture. I am not a subject matter expert. they come from the estate of an elderly couple and could have belonged to one of their parents. Not sure of their history! They are claw shaped and have a glass ball. Each measures about 3 3/8" long and 1 1/8" across the opening. There is one hole on the side but no screws. They are a rusty orange color. not sure if that is original or they were painted that way. there is some of that color on the glass balls. ANTIQUE COTTAGE ERA FURNITURE PEDIMENT w/ NICE DECORATIVE PAINTING
Up for bid is a very nice looking antique furniture pediment made I believe of Poplar. Though being as dark as it is, could easily pass for Walnut. The dimensions of this pediment are about 37-1/2" in length x 16-1/2" high and has a profile of about 2-1/2" deep out from the wall. The pediment displays some lovely flowing painted decorations in the center as well as flanking the center area. The pediment is in the condition as found and with a little stain and lacquer you could reveal the pediment's full potential. There is a soft spot above the center medallion, but I'm sure once the stain, perhaps mixed with a little wood harder, that area will hardly be noticeable, when it's hanging up on your wall, above a door or window. You are bidding on a Vintage Rittenhouse Log Table and 6 Ladder-Back Cedar Log chairs. This set manufactured by the Rittenhouse Mfg. Co. of Cheboygan. Michigan is in overall good condition and is ready for another Rustic Retreat. The table measures 72" in length, 36" wide and 30" in height. The 6 Ladder-Back chairs are solid and sturdy. Hopefully just what you are looking for. Payment upon pick-up. Local pick-up is preferred, however I am more than willing to store this set for an extended period of time in order for transport to be arranged. DISCUSSION: Roycroft furniture was not manufactured in large quantities. Nevertheless. It contributed significantly towards the growth of Arts and Crafts design in America. Furniture and other artifacts made by the Roycrofters at their community in East Aurora, New York, are easily identified by the incised orb and cross and/or“Roycroft” name. The 1906 catalog reprinted here depicts a substantial portion of the furniture designs produced under the forceful direction of Elbert Hubbard. I have included a lot of pictures because this sample book is in rough condition. It is VERY OLD& it's dirty! I have not attempted to clean it whatsoever. I will leave that up to the buyer. I think that the samples themselves could be cleaned up quite nicely with an upholstery cleaner. The metal binding& the staples that affix the little tags to each sample ... moreare rusty.
