I could not find any markers markings but I am guessing from other items in the house of this estate sale it is Danish and probably from the 60's or 70’s. The details of which are as follows: Rinck manufactures its furniture in a historical workshop located in Paris since ... more1871. Meubles RINCK" is an entity specializing in high end furniture inside the RINCK group. The desk is 52" wide x 27" deep x 30 1/2" high. The underside is stamped with the maker's mark by M. Rinck and the seal of"UNION NATle INDUSTRIE FRANCAISES DE L'AMEUBLEMENT" The 3 drawers all lock with a deadbolt and each have their own key. The two outside drawers measure 10 1/2" wide X 20" deep X 3" high with the middle drawer measuring 15 1/2" wide X 21" deep X 3" high. This desk was my father's pride and joy. My earliest memories of it date back to the 1970s when we lived in NYC and it was in his private study. It is in excellent condition with signs of use on the burgundy leather working area on top which also has a couple of stains. A competent furniture restorer can easily replace this leather piece but I would order a replacement directly from Rinck to preserve the desk's heritage. The following information was supplied by Rinck in reply to my recent email inquiry regarding the desk's provenance: Dear Sir, I can confirm that desk is coming from our company and Parisian work shop. I can not be more precise about the year. Because all client's files are archived, but: It is a Louis XV style desk, traditionally manufactured with a solid oak structure, with mortaises and tenons joined, hand dovetail joins for the drawers, black lacquered finishing, ornate with sand casted, chiseled, and ormolu set of bronze. The round UNIFA stamp on the underside of the desk is there to assure the desk has respectability and was constructed to the standards of the Professional Union. This is a very unique hand-carved piece with grape vines and flowers. The age is unknown but by the looks of the wood it's mid-century. It measures 29" long by 18" wide by 16 1/2" tall and the wood is actually 7/8" thick. There is some slight wear in spots around the edges and some very small chips and imperfections but over all the piece is in very good vintage condition. It is pine wood and weighs about 35 pounds. The one piece of glass on the right has a small crack on the bottom of it. Other Than that all the glass is in really good shape. The Hoosier has some cracks in wood on the left top side witch are very minor. The Hoosier has scratches and some minor finish loss. The inside of the Hoosier it was painted white and now due to age all the paint is flaking off. Also the bottom bread drawer that is metal has loss and holes as pictured. This stand weighs 12.4 pounds and measures 28 and 3/4" tall by 18" across at the top by 15 and 1/2" across at the base legs. There is some wear present however there are no breaks or repairs present. The top section can be removed since it is not secured to the base. I have shown this in my photographs. There is some dirt present on this wood stand. I have not attempted to clean this stand and leave all cleaning of the items I sell up to the new owners. Overall this is an amazing wood stand with a lot of potential for its usage. This is a very early cherry corner cupboard. It is pre 1840 and retains original hardware. Latch, scroll apron and feet. Has square nails and hand hewn boards in the back of the cupboard. The feet have not been shortened which is unusual. One piece of moulding is missing(top left) The cupboard is one piece but is not too cumbersome too move with two people. This is an incredible antique burl piece of wood! It must have been slated to be a lamp base as a hole is drilled through the center. Please look at all of my pics carefully as this is a really old(and dusty) piece! I don't know what type of wood this piece is.It is really heavy though-between 5 and 10 pounds(my scale tops out a 5 pounds! It measures APPROX 9" X 7" X 9 1/2" tall and.
