Made in England, Circa 1960, Yew wood, Brown leather writing surface, Shell inlays, Sturdy, Minor wear marks to top, Here we have a beautiful yew wood writing desk with a brown leather writing surface. The cabinet doors at the top have shell inlays on them and stay shut with magnetic latches. There are six small drawers up top and two larger drawers below that provide storage. The handles are a dark brass that contrasts the lighter yew wood nicely. Yew wood is a native English wood that has a beautiful grain and mellow color. This writing desk was made in England sometime around 1960 and is still in very good condition today. There are some normal wear marks mostly on the top of the desk between the leather and the drawers in the form of small marks and indentations. Otherwise this desk is quite sturdy and beautiful. The height from the floor to the bottom of the desk is 23" and from the floor to the writing surface is 30" This writing desk has a plethora of places for storage. The brown writing surface looks great with the yew wood. There are some small indentations between the leather and the drawers. The leather is bordered with a gold tooling. The brass handles are a nice contrast with the yew wood. The sides look great! The tapered legs end in a spade foot. The back is clean and well built. Have Questions?
