LEITZ WETZLAR OPAK ILLUMINATOR FOR MICROSCOPE IN CASE
LEITZ WETZLAR OPAK ILLUMINATOR Here’s another mystery item from my Father’s estate. I don’t know what it is or what it’s worth. As near as I can tell. It is to be used with a vintage Leitz microscope. I do not know if all the parts are present. I don’t see any lenses! Was it supposed to have its own lenses? In the lower right compartment that is covered, are some thin plastic pieces and one blue glass circle. If I unscrew the large knob, there is a holder containing a piece of plastic. Don’t know what it does. Prices on the internet range around $100 to $300. Dad had a price sticker on it of $99.99– for what that’s worth. PAYMENT AND SHIPPING TERMS I accept Paypal. Will probably ship USPS

This auction is for. Vintage Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Brass Microscope No 216525 This is from my father-in-laws estate. This is a very cool looking old microscope.from the early 1900's I believe. This is a very solid microscope weighing in at a hefty 10 pounds. This was always kept as a display piece on my father-in-laws mantel. Antique Vintage German Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Brass Microscope #2
Antique German brass microscope. Marked E. Leitz Wetzlar Germany No. 250088 Very good condition; I do not see anything wrong with it. No scratches, dents or damage that I can see. It came from the estate of a doctor who had a large collection of microscopes. This was on a shelf in his home library. It appears to have been well taken care of. As to whether it is in working condition. My best guess is that it probably is functional, considering where it came from and how it was stored and displayed. I am not a science person, nor an expert on microscopes, and only remember how to use one from high school science classes, but from what I can see, it is in very good to excellent condition, and all the knobs rotate freely and easily. It is heavy and weighs about 8 1/2 lbs. Please see photos and feel free to contact me if you have questions. I ... morepack carefully and usually ship on the next business day after payment clears. Striking E. Leitz Wetzlar Microscope in Good Working Order. Germany, 1921
Striking E. Leitz Wetzlar Microscope in Good Working Order. Germany. 1921 This singular device is a Leitz microscope. A real reference in the field of scientific and optic research material and in good condition and working order. The microscope mounts a three-lens revolving nosepiece and comes with a solid wooden case. The article is in good condition: the bird-claw foot shows off a nice black-enameled finish that looks shiny and even, being very well preserved. The brass component parts that make up the top part of the microscope are also in good condition and keep the original transparent finish, showing only slight signs of the trace of time that provide the piece with authenticity. The microscope’s turret. The top of the foot, the revolving nosepiece and the lenses bear the engraved manufacturer’s name: Ernst Leitz Wetlzar. In the turret ... morewe can also see the serial number 206485. The factory was founded by Carl Kellner in 1849 under the name of Optical Institute of Wetlzar. Twenty years later, former employee Ernst Leitz(who had become a partner of the firm) took control of the factory and changed its name by his. Under Leitz’s orders the company became one of the most powerful optical manufacturers in the world. As well as magnificent microscope, they also produced the famous Leica cameras(abbreviation of Leitz Camera) noted for their quality and impeccable working order. All this microscope’s component parts are original and work well. The wooden case is not the original one; it is bound to store and carry the instrument. The wood is solid and boasts a fine light golden color. With beautiful dovetail joints standing out in the outside corners. The metal handle, lock and key are also original and work fine. Inside the door there are two metal tabs that hold a paper sheet with hand-written information about the microscope in German. Measurements: Width: 6.2 in/ 16 cm. Height: 13.7 in/ 35 cm. I think I left nothing in the description but if I forgot something. I'll be glad to answer any questions. Bid wi

Antique demonstration brass microscope by Ernst Leitz, Wetzlar, 1902, rare!
Please read carefully the following report. The figures are an integral part of this description. Offered for auction is a very rare demonstration microscope by Ernst Leitz. Wetzlar, dating to around 1900 or slightly later. Demonstration microscopes are portable microscopes intended to be used in class. The lecturer is to place a slide and focus it. And the microscope can be passed around the class with each student looking through it while an explanation is given. This demonstration microscope was made around 1900 by Ernst Leitz of nickel-plated brass and steel. This small microscope is fitted with a wooden handle and can be served during lectures through the auditorium. The sample was secured to the stage by two clamps firmly attached to the vulcanite stage. The microscope has a graduated draw-tube, yet focusing is only made by a sliding ... moretube. An identical microscope can be seen in the“Museum of Optical Instruments” here: With the attached lens by E. Leitz Wetzlar. Linear enlargements up to 60X can be achieved. As opposed to most microscopes made by Ernst Leitz in Wetzlar, this instrument is unfortunately not marked with a serial number. In the Leitz catalog of optical instruments of 1902, this microscope is offered with and without fine tuning or condenser(last figure, not included but shown here for demonstration only) SHIPPING(please read carefully! E. Leitz Wetzlar microscope 1907 New York-Chicago
My mom bought a condo from a doctor several years ago and had no idea that in the attic she decided to clean out was this beautiful treasure.I know nothing about microscopes and I have posted as many pics ebay would allow but would be happy to email you any if I have missed anything. I will do my best to describe the contents and condition and please feel free to contact me with any questions. The serial number on this microscope is 95691 and dated 1907. The insert says Mikroskop Nr. 95691 vergrosserungen bei 170 Mm Tubuslange und 250 Mm Bildweite( I took a photo of the insert specifications) It seems to be in excellent condition. The brass needs cleaning and the woodwork also. The only real wear is on the handle as seen in the photo. I wouldn't begin to restore or clean for fear of damaging anything.I don't know if it works but I ... moredon't see why it wouldn't. It appears well cared for.And was stored secured and has not been moved for many many years. It comes COMPLETE in the original case with key and locks and unlocks easily.and super clean! There are 6 eye piece lenses numbered 0-5( 3 has a loose lens inside it rattles and I looked inside but the glass does not appear broken) There are 4 objective lenses( I think that's what they are. They are attached to bottom of the microscope that goes down to the slides. All canisters labeled E. Leitz Wetzlar#7 with hand engraved S 279. 5 hand engraved S 278, 3 hand engraved S277, all are on the microscope, and lastly in the canister 1/12 O immersion Tubust( it's either 170 mm or 70 mm I couldn't make it out. The slides box contains several clear slides and 2 round( 1 blue 1 clear) all are not cracked and are unbroken. I took a picture of the contents of the lens box because I wasn't sure what all the pieces were. The last box labeled E. Leitz Wetzlar is in excellent shape( as are all the boxes) however it is lined with crushed red velvet( beautiful)which is empty but it's contents appear attached to the microscope as well. The box measure
Antique Vintage E. Leitz Wetzlar Microscope Objective 6 with Brass Case
You are bidding on an original microscope objective with its brass case. Often called a can. From the photos you will see its numbered"6. This will make a wonderful conversation piece or an addition to a collection. The craftsmanship is from a bygone era. Seldom to be found in today's throwaway world. It has a finely threaded screw-on top which screws on and off perfectly. The objective itself is solid brass and glass. No plastic. I am reducing my collection and selling other microscope objective containers and an additional objective. Feel free to look at my other listings. I am not an optics expert. I am just a collector of finely crafted items. Feel free to ask questions.
