Favorite Things is delighted to welcome you to our Ebay Auction. I always try and provide unique collectibles that expand your imagination. Enjoy our ... moreauction and come back soon. Offered is an Unmarked French Antique Lacquered Brass Field Drum Microscope from ca1850's. Additionally it is a Monocular Compound Achromatic Brass Microscope. The bottom of the body tube has two screw on and off lenses for adjustment of magnification. It features a bull's eye lens. The original Mahogony wood box, glass plates, and a period tweezer. It is 9" tall fully extended and has a 2 3/4" bottom diameter. I did clean up all the lens and provide a basic clean-up on the entire microscope with Windex only. Since it is unmarked. I was able to access a multitude of pictures and info concerning French Drum Microscopes, and I will share my research with you. I will provide four manufacturers' or instances of this type of microscope, to provide dating and provenance: 1. Charles Chevalier lived from 1804 to 1859. His 1848 microscope which can be found on Ebay. Is functionally similar to the instrument being offered, though not as sophisticated as far as features, and operational knob control. Since he worked through 1959, it was very possible that he added the features seen as he progressed from 1848 to 1959. 2. Construction No. 3 by Lerebours& Secretan. Ca1839-1855(designed and described by Lerebours alone in 1839 but not manufactured till 1855) Monocular Compound Achromatic Brass Microscope, height 10 1/5" Rack-and-pinion focusing, one bull's eye lens. It included a Mahogany wood box. This unit can be seen on the Internet and was valued at between $1,000- $2,000.00. 3. French Drum Microscope ca1865. Trade label of James Foster Jr. Mathematical& Philosophical Instrument Maker, Cinncinnati Ohio. This microscope can also be found on the Internet, and is is funtionally equivalent to the instrument being offered. The only difference is the bull's eye lens on a moveable arm is put in a different. 4. Als

Antique Leitz Wetzlar 1930's Leica Named WW2 Microscope Org. Case, Slides & More
Thank your for stopping by! We look forward to doing business with you! Customer satisfaction is our number one priority! Up for auction is a great piece of scientific history. This early Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope comes from an estate where the owner of this microscope served in WW2 completing field research. Model No. 340922 The case bears the name tag James Langill. Woburn Mass. housed under a chrome nameplate holder on the top of the case. The Microscope is stamped Ernst Leitz Wetzlar in many places. On the inside of the case it features the Leitz nameplate logo. Sadly I could only post 12 pictures. More pictures are available upon request. I tried to upload the most important photo's within the 12 allowed. The Microscope is fully functional. Some wear due to age. The chrome and brass are in nice shape. The original case also ... moreincludes the original slide and accessory storage box. Which is normally missing. There are also 16 original slides with labeled specimens still in the case. They are stamped Japan so I can only assume they were used in research during the war while in Japan. Two original lenses/eye pieces are included as well as three original small storage containers. Along with the slides there was also an old thermometer, package of cover glasses and two slide holding chrome clips. Please see list below for what the specimens are on the slides. Inside the slide case(on the inside cover) there is a Leitz Microscope No. Identification Table that has never been written in. The original dual sided mirror is in tact. Clean and free of cracks or chips. All knobs work and turn allowing adjustments to function. This is a great looking microscope with nice history. Please see all pictures as they are a large part of the description process. No Reserve! Details: E. Leitz Wetzler 6x Eye Piece E. Leitz Wetzler 10x Eye Piece E. RARE BRASS E.LEITZ WETZLAR No 38190 FILIALE NEW YORK MICROSCOPE SLIDES + MORE
Rare brass Wetzlar brass Microscope. It's not complete or fully original. But a very cool collector's piece. Comes with boxes of slides, a lot of them are prepared(a few slides are cracked, but most appear in good shape) The box doesn't appear to be original as the base doesn't lineup to the notches, but it is also included. The eyepieces are clean and clear and appears usable, but being sold AS-IS as pictured due to my limited knowledge of microscopes and not knowing how to fully test it. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to help with them. 1?RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Feog4d72f%2B%3E%3B1%3F-13e8585a509-0x102-

50 ANTIQUE MICROSCOPE SLIDES W BOX HENSOLDT WETZLAR 1880S? GERMANY VERY RARE
0 0 1 473 2701 The Associated Press 22 6 3168 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This is a very interesting estate sale find. And it is in remarkably good condition. The black box contains 50“Microscopical Preparations” slides, including diatoms of various things like“The Tongue of a Snail, or"The Abdomen of a Bee. The best I’ve been able to determine, these slides became popular in the mid-1800s, and had something of a heyday in the 1880s or so. The case is in very good condition. Though i t has some scuffs- included in photos. The two front hook latches close into a circular catch. It says“Microscopical Preparations” and Hensoldt/Wetzlar/Germany with the Wetzlar logo. It also says Hensoldt/Wetzlar/Germany on the right side of all the slides. Some of the slides have a black circle encasing the specimen and others have a ... moreraised top over the specimen. Hensoldt is a German microscope maker. I have seen some slides online with“M. Hensoldt” on it. With the same sort of paper, dated to about 1880 or so. These slides without the“M. for Moritz, the founder) may be a little later, though they use the same paper and style, so my guess is that they are of that same era. One of the few mentions I found during my research of the Hensoldt slides indicated that a famous British slide-preparer had actually purchased his slides from M. Hensoldt. Took the Hensoldt papers off of them, and then put his own name on them to sell mostly because of the maker's products superior quality. I say 50 slides– but there is actually one of them that appears to be a blank without a specimen on it. None of them appear to be cracked or chipped. I have attached a list of what is written on each slide- the best that I could determine– the writing on them is very nice. But it is also very small! 1. Wing of Butterfly. Alla popilioris 2. Clapergillus glaricus 3. Spinning of caterpillar. Bombyn mori 4. Petalum cumpilis snellatin. Dcutvia 5. Crystals in cello. Allium sativum 6. Pollen pini 7. Sting of wasp. Aculeus vaspae 8

TWO MICROPHOTOGRAPH BY DANCER - Antique Microscope Slides - Creed - Both States
A set of both two states of The Creed microphotograph by J.B. Dancer(Illuminated and Plain) Each of which include 484 letters. As can be seen in the photos. The images relatively crisp and clean. The illuminated slide is quite lovely. With lots of details surrounding the text. The slide itself is in very good condition, with the exception of a couple stains on the label and wear commensurate with age. Although the image is nice for the plain state, the slide itself is cracked(as shown in the last picture) but well held together by the label. The label on the plain slide is fairly browned. I may insist on the tracking option for locations outside UK, Canada ... moreand the US so, please confirm prior to bidding as the cost may be notable. Vintage microscope E. Leitz Wetzlar germany w/ box & eyepieces slides science NR
you are bidding on a Vintage microscope by E. Leitz Wetzlar good condition. Made in germany in the 1920s. No. 273167, w/ metal horse shoe style base. It comes with 6x&10x eyepieces and it is equipped with 10x-45x-100x magnifying lenses. It includes 4 metal conainers- 1/12 oel immersion, a#3 container, a#6L container and cedern-oel container. The cedern container is seized close and feels heavy, There may be a objective inside. It looks as if someone has used pliers or something to try to force open as container has some gauge marks on outside. I can not open with hands, I’m not sure if it can be opened again. There are two boxes full of glass slides, cleaning cloth and an empty eye dropper. It all comes inside original wooden box that is pretty beat up but still intact. The old key and lock still function. The box has a storage compartment ... morew/ lid and two racks to hold eyepieces and containers. Inside on door is original microscope documentation and pamphlets. It is missing a clip that holds slide in place. There is some corrosion on the shinny brass in several parts, this is surface damage that affects color of brass. All the metal is solid, lenses move freely and focus mechanisms work correctly. These have been used and have some scuffs and scratches but no major damage. They would be nice for lab use, collector or good for decoration in your den or lab. Buyers with no feedback must e-mail me before bidding. U.S. buyers only, no local pick ups. Winning bidder agrees to pay by paypal only. Payment expected within 48 hrs. Buyer pays $25.00 for shipping and handling. Items sold as is.

Vict microscope slidee lot of miscellaneous problem or blank slides
Very good condition. A very good starting price! Let's see where it ends. I want to clear out the rest of my slides this weekend. Large lot for 1 money. I am a old school wholesaler dealer and scour GA and New England for the best to buy for my customers. I am also the founder of WorthPoint and would encourage all to visit it if you want to research antique prices.I focus on happy repeat customers and love what I do and try to ensure all customers are happy. I do not stay glued to my computer and have a real job so please do not expect instantaneous answers. Consider your source when buying. I have sold over 11.000 items on eBay and have 99.9% positive feedback. I charge GA sales tax to GA residents. I specialize in paper. Photos, coins and militaria. I sell about anything except reproductions. If it is not old, I say so. If there is ... morea defect, I also say so. If you know more than me about something, that is OK, as I do not mind learning or being told that I am wrong and strive for accuracy. You can always learn more in this business. If I make a mistake, and we all do, I will take responsibility for it and you can return the item. If buying internationally. Email me for final postage if you are the winner. eBay's quoted postage tends to be too high for a 1st class envelope. Also I make a full decloration of sales value, thus please do not ask or expect otherwise.
