This is an old Leitz Wetzlar brass embellished microscope. No 272910 In fairly good condition overall. Missing one objective lens(it has the 44x and the ... more10x) Missing the mechanical stage slide holder. But still has the dovetail gear on the side Needs a cleaning- and has some chipping in the black paint over the iron armature- the usual wear. Ocular lens is 10x. Brass is good- scratches seem to only be in the lacquer covering the brass. Needs to be polished- brass is more yellow than is showing in the pictures. Overall it functions properly and there is no mechanical issues. Tube. Condenser and fine focus all seem to be working fine and smoothly. Look at pics- email questions. Ships only in the USA. Unless you really want to pay the extra shipping overseas- it is heavy and would cost a lot more to ship.

Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope from 1909. Original Case. In Good Condition and Working Order Smart German microscope from 1901. Perfectly preserved and ... morein good working order. This microscope was made by Ersnt Leitz Wetzlar company, which was founded by K. Kellner in Wetzlar in 1849. The name of the company comes from engineer E. Leitz, who was hired to work in the firm and afterwards became its owner. It is a remarkable fact that Leitz has been always a reference in the field of optical material; its Canadian factory was renowned by their famous Leica cameras. This microscope comes in its original solid wood case and keeps all its accessories. Eyepieces and lenses in good condition. The microscope is made of brass with parts painted black. The brass keeps the original varnish, meant to protect the metal from rusting. This is why the brass is so polished and shiny, free from pitting. The lenses are in very good condition and provide a clear and neat view. In the central cylinder we can see the inscription Enrst Leitz Wetzlar and London, with the serial number: 122054. The name of the company is also engraved in the lenses. The microscope preserves all its original components: lenses, eyepieces, mirrors and the clips attached to the stage. The case which houses the microscope is made of solid beech wood. Inside there is a wooden stand designed to hold the eyepieces. We can also see two wooden boxes with sliding covers which contain material designed to clean the lenses and prepare the samples. The case has dovetail joints. As beautiful as strong, and keeps the original lock and keyhole. The metal handle at the top, designed to carry the microscope, is also original. In the upper edge of the box we can see the serial number, carved on the wood; this number also appears in a label fixed to the inside of the door. This label shows some technical data with information about the microscope, the objectives and the eyepieces under the name of Magnification Table. The inscriptions are beautifully hand-written, turning thi

This instrument is signed on the front face of the body tube. E. Leitz Wetzlar, No. 263923. This serial number dates the instrument to the year 1928. Accompanying this listing is a catalog cut of this microscope model extracted from ... morethe 1920 Leitz “Catalogue of Microscopes and Accessory Apparatus” for comparison with the instrument featured here. The similarities to the featured instrument are readily apparent. NOTE: The only significant difference is the fact that the featured instrument has a rectangular rather than a round stage. Leitz first introduced this model microscope about the year 1905 with the intent that it would serve as an economical but complete instrument for routine examinations in clinical laboratories. Thus. This model microscope found its way into clinical laboratories around the world and was a very successful addition to the Leitz varied line of precision microscopes. This early 20th Century Leitz brass microscope will make a very nice addition to any vintage/ antique microscope collection. DETAILED DESCRIPTION: This microscope is built upon Leitz’s “Stativ C” stand. Which has a nicely sculpted horseshoe shaped foot with an integral rectangular pillar that rises to a compass joint that supports the limb, stage and the rest of the instrument. The foot and pillar are cast as one piece on this instrument. The compass joint allows the microscope to be tilted to any angle from the ve
You are bidding on one lot of one old microscope by Leitz Wetzlar. This has a serial number of 110262 probably dating it to the early 1900s. I do not know much about microscopes personally. But everything seems to move smoothly, including the focus and fine focus, The turret, and the mirror assembly. It tilts back fine as well. There is a lens up top marked 3. And then another lens top without the barrel marked 4. It has a three lens turret but only two are in use. One is a Leitz Wetzlar 3 and the other is a Spencer 4MM 44X. There is an extra Bausch& Lomb 16MM 10X lens but it does not fit. There is a double sided mirror, the looks in good condition, and another assembly with an aperture that swings back and forth under the slide table. There is also another aperture under the slide table that opens and closes with a lever. Has a heavy ... morecast iron base and looks like brass knobs and a brass finish to the main barrel. This item seems well used and has its fair share of scuffs and scratches. Along with finish wear in a number of places. Also comes with a custom E. Leitz Wetzlar wooden case. It has a lock but no key. It is in very good sturdy condition but has scuffs and scratches from use. Overall a neat old microscope that needs a detailed cleaning and maybe a bit or restoration to look its best. Please email me with any questions prior to bidding. The accompanying photo is of the actual lot you are bidding on. I accept PayPal only at this time. Goods usually shipped the next postal day after payment received(except Saturdays. Mondays, and the day after a postal holiday) Shipping and handling charge is $22.50 in continental USA. This is an old Leitz Wetzlar brass embellished microscope. No 272910 In fairly good condition overall. Missing one objective lens(it has the 44x and the 10x) Missing the mechanical stage slide holder. Unless you really want to pay the extra shipping overseas- it is heavy and would cost a lot more to ship.
you are bidding on a Vintage microscope by E. Leitz Wetzlar good condition. Made in germany in the 1920s. No. 273167, w/ metal horse shoe style base. It comes with 6x&10x eyepieces and it is equipped with 10x-45x-100x magnifying lenses. It includes 4 metal conainers- 1/12 oel immersion, a#3 container, a#6L container and cedern-oel container. The cedern container is seized close and feels heavy, There may be a objective inside. It looks as if someone has used pliers or something to try to force open as container has some gauge marks on outside. I can not open with hands, I’m not sure if it can be opened again. There are two boxes full of glass slides, cleaning cloth and an empty eye dropper. It all comes inside original wooden box that is pretty beat up but still intact. The old key and lock still function. The box has a storage compartment ... morew/ lid and two racks to hold eyepieces and containers. Inside on door is original microscope documentation and pamphlets. It is missing a clip that holds slide in place. There is some corrosion on the shinny brass in several parts, this is surface damage that affects color of brass. All the metal is solid, lenses move freely and focus mechanisms work correctly. These have been used and have some scuffs and scratches but no major damage. They would be nice for lab use, collector or good for decoration in your den or lab. Buyers with no feedback must e-mail me before bidding. U.S. buyers only, no local pick ups. Winning bidder agrees to pay by paypal only. Payment expected within 48 hrs. Buyer pays $25.00 for shipping and handling. Items sold as is.
This offering is a rather simple brass microscope. From Ernst Leitz, Wetzlar(Germany) the same firm which made the classic Leica Cameras(although this was made long before any Leica Cameras were made) Leica is short for LEItz CAmera) It is rather handsome, simplistically functional, and in my opinion is very attractive on a shelf. Most of the original lacquer is still present. And adds to the attractiveness. It is engraved: E. Leitz Wetzlar- New-York No 30069. Which identifies it as mfg. about 1894, per Bracegirdle's book: Notes on Modern Microscope Manufacturers" The New York address was a sales agency- Leitz microscope manufacture was in Wetzlar. From the beginning(1849) still is. Interestingly, the present new microscopes are now called"Leica" though"Leica" was originally, and for many years, the name of the ... morevery fine and very popular camera made by Leitz, Wetzlar, in Wetzlar. The precision column top knob fine focus. And sliding tube coarse focus still function very well, and the eyepiece and objective do function also. I would not expect this to serve well enough to win you a Nobel Prize, however, while it is not really a very useful microscope, it does work- To demonstrate that, I just put a piece of multi-colored cloth on the stage, illuminated it from above with my pocket LED penlight, and took the picture shown(last above) of black thread crossing colored threads under rather high magnification- just holding my Nikon Coolpix up to the eyepiece, as steadily as I can. I think of this as more something quite attractive. Historic, and interesting to look at, rather than to really use- it is as shown- no case, no extra parts, no sub stage, just a very basic stand- I have kept it on a shelf for years, where it looks quite attractive, and evokes interest. Height measures from 10 to 13 inches, depending on the tube expansion, base is about 3" by 3 1/2" and stage is about 2" by 3" Wt. is est. at 2 lbs. All metal(mostly brass) and a little glass) No Plastic! You get
Vintage Brass and Iron Microscope. Both lenses are marked E. Leitz Wetzlar. The eyepiece can be raised and lowered easily and the 2 lower opticals rotate easily. The entire mechanism can pivot 90 degrees so the barrel is horizontal. The lower double mirror is in fine shape- no cracks. The finish on the metal has some nicks and scratches etc. as shown in the photos. Eyepiece lens marked"GRAF APSCO CHICAGO. USA 10X" Lower lenses are marked 5 and 7. All appears to be in good functional use to my untrained eye, but it would need a proper cleaning to remove the dust specks from the lenses. Even as a display piece it is simply stunning. Measures Approx: 14" tall at full height down to 11” Base is 4" x 5 1/2" Please Feel Free To Ask Questions Especially Before Bidding.

You are looking at a vintage Spencer Microscope X/Y Stage. It was originally on a Leitz military traveling microscope. But fits most vintage Leitz continental scopes. I am, sadly, selling all my Leitz microscopes over the next few months, so watch my auctions for more. Some are very rare and in mint condition.
You are looking at a Leitz"Minor" microscope in very fine condition-not exactly the sort of microscope usually found on ebay. This may be the best surviving example. If you scour the internet. Or look in any of the major microscope museums, you won't find one this nice. Its' lenses are optically perfect; it appears to have seen little use, and has been cared for by someone intelligent who knows how to use microscopes. Even the numbers on the tube are unscathed by case rub. I bought it a few years ago for approximately $1800 US with intention of using it on an expedition that never materialized. It is awesomely light and small, complete with all accessory lenses, the condenser, the stage clips, filters, iris, oculars et all. It spent several decades in a glass display, but the case did not, so the case is less than perfect, ... morebut complete and fully functional. Fully accessorized, its' magnification goes from 8 to 250X, and it has zoom functionality. The lenses are unique to this particular scope; however, other RMS Leitz objectives work just fine, making the magnification useful for bacteriology. Light in your backpack to remote areas, or fine in your microscope collection; this is likely your only chance at one of these tis nice. Should you happen to want more pics, kindly find a way to get me your email and I shall send them. It comes with the manual that tells about it[German] An Excerpt from Taskenmikroskop, part 2, is as follows, but does not tell all by any stretch of the imagination: Manufacturer: Ernst Leitz Location: Wetzlar, Germany Production Year: 1924 The Leitz"Minor" folding pocket microscope is constructed of aluminum alloy, zinc die casting, and chrome-plated brass. It weights only 360 grams, providing a magnification range of 50X to 250X. It offers crisp viewing and superb top of the line optics.vii"also 8-30X with the accessory entomology/botany lens] Compared to the contemporaneous single pillar Hensoldt Tami, also produced in Wetzlar, the Leitz"Minor"
You are looking at a few old Leitz microscope case keys. They fit scopes I no longer have. So i thought I would move them on. I know one of them fits a"Nabit" case and the other a large folding microscope case; I don't know which is which, or what the 3rd one fits as i have had so many. 16.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Feog4d71f%2B%3E16%3E-149af4a7ea4-0x108-
Serial number indicates the microscope was manufactured in 1898. Sharp magnification. So beautiful.
Antique German brass microscope. Marked E. Leitz Wetzlar Germany No. 250088 Very good condition; I do not see anything wrong with it. No scratches, dents or damage that I can see. It came from the estate of a doctor who had a large collection of microscopes. This was on a shelf in his home library. It appears to have been well taken care of. As to whether it is in working condition. My best guess is that it probably is functional, considering where it came from and how it was stored and displayed. I am not a science person, nor an expert on microscopes, and only remember how to use one from high school science classes, but from what I can see, it is in very good to excellent condition, and all the knobs rotate freely and easily. It is heavy and weighs about 8 1/2 lbs. Please see photos and feel free to contact me if you have questions. I ... morepack carefully and usually ship on the next business day after payment clears. You are bidding on an original microscope objective with its brass case. Often called a can. From the photos you will see its numbered"6. This will make a wonderful conversation piece or an addition to a collection. The craftsmanship is from a bygone era. Seldom to be found in today's throwaway world. I am reducing my collection and selling other microscope objective containers and an additional objective. Feel free to look at my other listings. I am not an optics expert.
