Offered here with no hidden reserve a Spencer Lens Co. microscope lens(I believe this is called an objective) in a brass canister. The canister is marked ... more16MM and has been expertly machined to house the lens it contains so that the glass at the end of the lens does not come in to contact with the bottom of the canister. The lens itself is marked Spencer Lens Co 41929. 4MMN AP.0.75. I would describe the condition of the piece as far as appearance goes as very good with expected fine scratches and nice patina. I have no way of knowing if the lens glass itself is functional but it appears to be unblemished. The overall approximate dimensions of the canister are: height- 1 3/4" diameter 1" top, 7/8" bottom. Please examine pictures and contact with any questions. Returns accepted within 3 days of receipt/inspection. Thanks for your interest.

You are bidding on an old. Victorian like, antique brass and glass miniature field microscope with fitted box. Microscope seems to be in good working ... moreorder. Retains its original finish. Nice uncleaned example. Glass is not broken and does move with the thumbscrew. Top of microscope expands up and down freely. Microscope has no maker identification on it, nor the box. I have seen other field microscopes similar that were made by"The Harvey Lewis Co. and other that were made in Germany. I am not sure if this one is either. There is a date inscribed on the inside of the box. 7/30/25. With the initials J.J.H. Also included is 1 prepared glass slide and 1 tweezer. The box has two clasps that hold it closed. There is a crack through the bottom side of the box. But it does affect the integrity. Microscope measures: expanded) 7 1/8" x 1 7/8 at the base Wood box measures: 7" X 2 3/4" X 2 1/8" Take home this great piece of early history. Will pack carefully. Shipping through USPS Priority Mail. BUYER TO PAY SHIPPING.I DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY.GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING! PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY LEAVE FEEDBACK ONCE IT IS RECEIVED ON MY END FIRST. THIS IS JUST TO ENSURE YOUR ITEM HAS ARRIVED AND YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH IT. THANKS!

This is one of the more rare Bausch& Lomb American Type microscope models. It was only manufactured over just a brief 3-year period from 1889 to 1891. The featured instrument is very similar in design to the B&L“The Model” microscope. But it lacks the rack and pinion focus mechanism and is built upon a horseshoe shaped foot with rectangular pillars instead of the“Y”shaped foot with round pillars that characterized“The Model. This instrument bears the name of the manufacturer in fancy script on the top rear face of the circular stage. Bausch& Lomb Optical Co. Please see the accompanying close-up image of this inscription) However, this instrument does not bear a typical serial number. For some unknown reason, Bausch& Lomb did not inscribe serial numbers on their earlier microscopes. Instead, they stamped the serial number of the instrument in the front lip of the floor of the wood case that they normally supplied with the microscope. Fortunately, the Cherry wood case that accompanies this instrument has the serial number stamped into the front floor of the case(see close-up image) The serial number“6890” dates the instrument to the year 1889, which plac

ANTIQUE BRASS J ZENTMAYER Monocular MICROSCOPE PAT DATED AUG 1876 HISTOLOGICAL
ANTIQUE BRASS J ZENTMAYER Monocular MICROSCOPE PAT DATED AUG 1876 HISTOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION Here is a beautiful antique brass J Zentmayer microscope with patent date Aug 1876. Everything is shown in the images. The base is marked with J Zentmayer and patent date see images. I do not know much about microscopes. So I will describe to the best of my ability. This is a beautiful antique microscope made by the well know Joseph Zentmayer. from the internet: He was born in Germany. In 1826, Zentmayer emigrated to the United States, as a young man, already trained in optics and instrument making. He went into business in 1853, in Philadelphia, making his first large stand, the Grand American) around 1858. Over several decades, Zentmayer turned out a great variety of stands, from the elaborate"American Centennial" to the smaller"American ... moreHistological" and, earlier, the"United States Army Hospital" stand. Zentmayer's business remained in Philadelphia until his death in 1888, and, was carried on by his sons into the mid-1890's. The microscope is monocular. I believe it is a histological scope and is missing the mirror assembly that attaches under the platform and lenses. The previous owner made this into a kaleidoscope of some sort, so when you look into it you see a kalaidoscope pattern, this fitting slips right out. The microscope makes a beautiful display and could be used for parts or possibly restore, so it is being sold as is. A beautiful microscope to add to your collection. Antique Early 1900's E. Leitz Wetzlar Polished Brass Microscope w/ Case + More
This is a Antique E. Leitz brass microscope. The microscope has many polished brass parts and it appears to me to be complete and original. But I am not familiar with microscopes so please view the pictures to judge for yourself. Included is some original accessories, including 2 brass cases for the lenses, and some sort of brass rod with a threaded end. The case included does fit the microscope, but I do not be-leave it to be original to the scope, it looks like a newer case used to keep the microscope safe. Still a great collector and conversation piece for any medical collector. All parts on the microscope move freely and smoothly, and nothing appears to be broken, bend, or repaired.

Antique brass single lens field microscope
Please read carefully the following report. The figures are an integral part of this description. Offered for auction is a unique and very interesting antique brass single lens microscope. Probably made in the mid-19th century. The microscope comes with a nice case. I don't know if it originally belonged to it(but this way I bought it) I add to it two contemporaneous small frame French-made slides mounted by the Bourgogne Brothers. The last photo is of a flea from one of these slides, as seen through this microscope. There are several similar microscopes in existing collections(like that of the Royal Microscopical Society) But none is identical. It seems that such field microscopes were made in small numbers and with great variability. SHIPPING(please read carefully! Shipping is made promptly(within a day) after receiving cleared payment ... moreby EMS(Express Mailing Service) PLEASE NOTE: sometimes items are held by the customs for longer periods of time. In the very unlikely case of a problem. Please do not open a case against me before contacting me first! You will be provided with the tracking number to follow the item and I will sort out any delay and refund you in full in case of any reasonable loss. I emphasize this issue. Although it happened to me only once(as compared with over 150 successful transactions as a seller) Please be patient, as it is beyond my powers to control the customs in your country. In my experience, usually there are no problems of this kind but here and there they may occur. Shipping charges: I DO NOT OVERCHARGE FOR SHIPPING! Nor do I charge for the often expensive packing materials and handling. Which I do with great care. Because eBay does not allow multiple shipping fees, I must specify a high fee. However I will refund you immediately for any excessive sum. Exactly to the true shipping fee.

ANTIQUE A. KRUSS No. 250 BRASS MONOCULAR MICROSCOPE for Parts or Restore
Antique brass monocular microscope for parts or restoration. I don't know much about it but will describe what I see. It is marked"No. 250 A. Krufs( or Kruss? I think) Hamburg" The long piece measures 9 1/4" It attached to the base by a brass'ring' This'ring' is broken from the base but it is a"clean" break and could probably be repaired in the right hands. The'lens' where you look into has some spots(probably needs cleaning from the inside) and the lens in the end of this piece is loose. It will not come out but you can make it sit one way or the other. see pictures) The base is 3" in diameter and is weighted. From the bottom of the base to the highest point is 5" The small wheel on the side moves the top of the platform up and down and the wheel at the back moves a piece with ... moredifferent size holes that is between the 2 platform pieces. They both work fine. The top part of the cylinder piece has some use wear and the bottom part has a small dent. Unusual microscope! Maybe you can restore it or use it for parts. Please check out the pictures for a better idea of condition and e-mail with any questions.
Antique 1897 Bausch & Lomb Microscope with a Spencer 4 mm. Lens Brass w/th Box
Sally's Cellar is very pleased to offer one of my favorite finds. a Bausch& Lomb brass microscope with a Spencer Lens(4 mm) stored in an excellent wooden box made for the microscope! Whew! Up for sale by auction-1897 Bausch and Lomb Microscope with a Spencer Lens(both microscope and the lens have ID# This piece is made of brass and black covered metal(not sure) handle and the horseshoe shaped bottom holder Gorgeous brass plate with beautiful oxidation and antique character-Missing a few items that can be easily replaced. Missing the 2 clips that hold the glass lenses. The number of the box is different than the microscope, just one lens on the microscope but there is room for a second one to be attached, also missing the mirror underneath the brass plate. Because Bausch% Lomb is still in business and there are parts for sale for most ... moreevery type of machine. I think you can find the pieces you wish to add. Our policy is to keep pieces we sell in the same condition in which we found them. The wooden box that houses this microscope is absolutely gorgeous. The color is beautiful. The design of the dovetail corners is just excellent craftsmanship. There is not a key for the door. I will keep looking through my sample keys this week: Why do you think there are numbers on the microscope or the box? You are right. due to inventory! We think this must have been used in a medical school due to the times. or perhaps a very wealthy school district? This piece of Science'past' Is in great shape! Just needs few things added if you wish it to have more parts. It also would be a fabulous conversation piece! How cool would it look in your half bathroom or near a wet bar or on a shelf in a book case or in an office. Owning a primitive(made before 1900) microscope that is brass with a gorgeous patina is cool. Antique Brass Microscope C Reichert Wien with original wood box and accessories
This is a beautifully crafted microscope from Austria in the 19th century. VIII. Bennogasse 26. is stamped on the base. One of the objective cases is labeled"No. 3. C. Reichert, Wienna. Very Old Primitive Antique Light Microscope - Unsigned Brass and Copper
Up for sale is this unusual Antique Light Microscope. I can describe it. But do not know anything of the history. It is mostly brass, but the center section appears to be copper. It is unsigned, with just the number"11" and a star imprinted in the metal on the underside of the stage. The base also appears to be bronze, instead of cast iron. I've looked at quite a few antique microscopes online and cannot find one like this one. All the parts seem to move as they are intended. The eyepiece moves up and down and there the lens seem to be intact. The whole upper section tilts on the base. The mirror swivels and moves forward and backward. But the mirror is black in places where the silver came off, as happens with old mirrors. The stage clip is in one piece and slides up and down the arm. There is a wheel beneath the stage with ... morevarious sized holes to control the amount of light coming through. The eyepiece moves up and down along a track. And it moves by adjusting a wheel. Both the track and the part that holds the wheel to the track, appear to have been screwed in with tiny screws at one point. They those pieces were welded. The welds look about the same age as the rest of it. It also has a chip in the front of the stage. Please look closely at the photos provided and email with any questions. It is about +/ 10 inches high. I ship internationally on a limited basis(Canada. UK, Australia, etc) just email me for shipping costs.

JOHN W. SIDLE #194 ACME - Antique BINOCULAR Microscope – 1880’s – Brass & Copper
ANTIQUE BINOCULAR MICROSCOPE* Engraved Signature on the Brass Base: John W. Sidle. Lancaster. Pa. ACME Wm Stanley Jr#194 Objective Reads: E. Gundlach* Estimated Early 1880’s* Stands about 15 to 17 inches high. Depending on the position of the scope* Please read the description in full. Review all photos and ask all questions prior to bidding. Happy to provide addition photos if requested. This is an antique. Which I estimate as being from about 1880(130+ years old) so there is some wear commensurate with age. I have provided key conditional notes based on my review of the visuals and mechanics. According to this extract from the American Artifacts Website: Sidle began making microscopes. First in partnership with Poalk, in Philadelphia, and then as"John W. Sidle& Co, Lancaster PA" His several models of 1880 were called the"Acme" ... moreand some of his ads referred to the"Acme Optical Works" Lancaster, PA. In 1881, James W. Queen& Co. took over the marketing of Sidle's Acme microscopes, which they continued to sell into the 20th century. I am very pleased to offer this attractive antique binocular microscope. A fantastic presentation piece. This appears to be the Binocular(Double Tube/ Scope) version of the ACME No. 3 Microscope produced by Sidle in the early 1880’s(see last photo) As might be expected. This is not in perfect, 100 percent complete condition, but still a great, very attractive piece of scientific history. I have tried my best to thoroughly identify any issues/ notes based on a comparison of the monocular version found online and my visual review. I am passionate about antique microscopes and enjoy hanging onto them briefly as a hobby/ admirer. But I am not able to yet call myself an expert so, again, please review as well and do not hesitate to ask questions: 1. No box or other accessories included beyond shown in the photos. 2. Beautiful combination of what look to be brass(majority) and copper(accents– knobs. Joint, swinging mirror gauge, objective cuffi
Old Antique Vintage Leitz Wetzlar Brass Microscope Model # 272910
This is an old Leitz Wetzlar brass embellished microscope. No 272910 In fairly good condition overall. Missing one objective lens(it has the 44x and the 10x) Missing the mechanical stage slide holder. But still has the dovetail gear on the side Needs a cleaning- and has some chipping in the black paint over the iron armature- the usual wear. Ocular lens is 10x. Brass is good- scratches seem to only be in the lacquer covering the brass. Needs to be polished- brass is more yellow than is showing in the pictures. Overall it functions properly and there is no mechanical issues. Tube. Condenser and fine focus all seem to be working fine and smoothly. Look at pics- email questions. Ships only in the USA. Unless you really want to pay the extra shipping overseas- it is heavy and would cost a lot more to ship.

Vintage Bausch & Lomb Antique Brass Microscope Circa 1899 Better Pictures!!
Vintage Bausch& Lomb Antique Brass Microscope Circa 1899 The pictures do not do justice to the way this instrument gleams! All the movements move freely with no binding or sticky spots. The Irises on the condenser move freely as well. The bottom iris looks like it is missing a couple of the leaves, there is what appears to be one of them that was in the drawer of the case. It is shown in one of the pictures. The Case is in good shape. But it is showing it's age, the cabinet does lock and includes a key. I have added a shipping charge to this due to the extra care that is needed to package this securely to ensure it will arrive safely also to cover the extra charges due to it's weight.

Vintage Antique Brass Leitz Microscope circa 1894 - Leica "cousin"
This offering is a rather simple brass microscope. From Ernst Leitz, Wetzlar(Germany) the same firm which made the classic Leica Cameras(although this was made long before any Leica Cameras were made) Leica is short for LEItz CAmera) It is rather handsome, simplistically functional, and in my opinion is very attractive on a shelf. Most of the original lacquer is still present. And adds to the attractiveness. It is engraved: E. Leitz Wetzlar- New-York No 30069. Which identifies it as mfg. about 1894, per Bracegirdle's book: Notes on Modern Microscope Manufacturers" The New York address was a sales agency- Leitz microscope manufacture was in Wetzlar. From the beginning(1849) still is. Interestingly, the present new microscopes are now called"Leica" though"Leica" was originally, and for many years, the name of the ... morevery fine and very popular camera made by Leitz, Wetzlar, in Wetzlar. The precision column top knob fine focus. And sliding tube coarse focus still function very well, and the eyepiece and objective do function also. I would not expect this to serve well enough to win you a Nobel Prize, however, while it is not really a very useful microscope, it does work- To demonstrate that, I just put a piece of multi-colored cloth on the stage, illuminated it from above with my pocket LED penlight, and took the picture shown(last above) of black thread crossing colored threads under rather high magnification- just holding my Nikon Coolpix up to the eyepiece, as steadily as I can. I think of this as more something quite attractive. Historic, and interesting to look at, rather than to really use- it is as shown- no case, no extra parts, no sub stage, just a very basic stand- I have kept it on a shelf for years, where it looks quite attractive, and evokes interest. Height measures from 10 to 13 inches, depending on the tube expansion, base is about 3" by 3 1/2" and stage is about 2" by 3" Wt. is est. at 2 lbs. All metal(mostly brass) and a little glass) No Plastic! You get

Antique Brass and Metal Spencer Microscope with E L Wetzlar Attachment No 24832
Antique Brass and Metal Spencer Microscope with Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Attachment and Spencer Illuminator Serial No 24832 All items in our store include NO sales tax to our US customers! Here is a great older brass microscope for your buying consideration. Recently picked it up at an auction. There were 10 microscopes recently at a high end auction that appeared to be from someone's collection or a high end store that dealt in them. I acquired 6 of them. Here is another one of them. The other microscopes will be made available for sale separately at my eBay store over the next few days as well. The microscope scope and the lens and objective case and dials are made of brass. There is some corrosion to the brass and painted surfaces in places. The black painted part of the microscope stand is some sort of other metal. There is a 6x and 10x ... moreeye lens with the scope. Also a 3x with the scope that is not the right diameter. There are no date. The serial number of 24832 on the microscope would make it as having been produced around 1914 to 1915. There is also a Spencer illuminator with the microscope that has a great vintage power cord on it. The illuminator lights up when plugged in. There is a clear and blue lens inside. The reflector is still behind the bulb. The microscope also has some sort of brass Ernst Leitz Wetzlar attachment on it for moving the specimen around both horizontally and vertically on the observation plate. This is a really nice attachment and in very nice condition. The mirror at the bottom of the scope is two sided. Not cracked or blistered, but the mirrored surface does show some wear. The glass for the lens and objective are dusty and may have some minor scratching. I see no blistered cracked or missing glass in the lenses or objectives. The microscope is 12.25" tall. By 6" across, by 6.75" wide. Nice what appears to be the original wood case, missing the original wood drawers. Case is intact, still has its' lock, no key. The objectives are a 1.8mm, a 4mm and a 6mm. Handle

The microscope came with a great old case and appears original to the scope. There is a separate wood piece in the base of the case that the 3 legs fit into perfectly. The case wood appears to be mahogany. The case still has its' lock in it, but no key. The hinges still operate and securely attache

*GERMAN Antique BRASS & Iron ARGUS 606 MICROSCOPE in Original WOOD BOX Germany
An antique"Argus Nr. 606" Brass Microscope. 6 3/4" high, made in Germany and housed in its original wood box, 2 3/4" x 8 9/16" x 2 1/2" high, with original hook closures. There's a paper label inside the box with some information but I don't see any maker's mark on the Microscope. GERMANY" is impressed into the 2" diameter iron base. The top section can be adjusted up and down and can also be removed from the bottom section. Condition. In good condition overall. I didn't polish the brass but left it as found. The surface of the adjustable mirror is in good condition with some oxidation across the middle section that doesn't seem to interfere with reflecting light into the Microscope. The top and bottom glass lenses are in good condition with no scratches. There is an old short closed ... morecrack in the bottom section of the brass band above the section that holds the slide that can be seen in one of the side view photos of the Microscope(as the Microscope front faces to the right) This part doesn't hold the top section in place so it doesn't affect the use of the Microscope in any way. There are NO slides with this Microscope although there is space for 4 slides in the box. Shipping weight of carefully wrapped package. 3 pounds Buyer pays shipping. I usually ship the day after I receive the email from PayPal confirming your payment to PayPal. If I receive the confirmation email from PayPal on a Friday or a weekend I ship the following Monday.
