Antique Staffordshire Dark Blue Transfer Pearlware Teapot Tea Set c 1820. Handsome dark blue Staffordshire transfer tea set in"Oriental Meeting" pattern from about 1820. It has a Stone China printed mark; the potter is unknown. The set consists of three pieces- a London Shape teapot. A sugar box, and a waste bowl(no cream jug) You can see the blue of the pearlware glaze where it pools in the foot rim. The teapot is 6 1/2 inches tall by 10 inches wide from spout to handle. The sugar box is 6 1/2 inches tall. The waste bowl is 6 1/4 inches wide. The set weighs 3 lbs 11 oz(shipping weight 7 lb) Condition: Teapot: excellent. no chips or cracks save for a tiny flake on the underside of the lid. Some white transfer skips on the rim and the usual crazing. Sugar: fair. looks good but has a long hairline curving around the body near the ... morebase. EARLY STAFFORDSHIRE PEARLWARE FIGURE OF ANDROMACHE AT THE URN OF HECTOR -C.1800
A good. Early Staffordshire pearlware figure, dating to c.1800. This is a scene from Classical Greek mythology and shows Andromache, at the funeral urn of her husband Hector, the son of Priam, King of Troy. During the siege, Hector had been killed by the Greek hero Achilles. Measuring 9.25" high and in good condition for an early figure of this type. There is an old chip to the tip of her right thumb, and there is a glaze blemish and scuff on her left arm. There is also some typical paint flaking, to the base, and the trunk, at the rear.

=Rare pearlware open weaved basket flower boy= Description: This wonderful English Staffordshire pearlware little flower boy dates back to the 18 th century or just around the 1800’s due to the hollow base as was a common feature for that period. In his right hand he holds a flower reticulated basket. Some pooling of the tin glaze. Nice old surviving piece. Staffordshire pearlware figurine of "Hope", English, ca. 1820
A beautiful pearlware ceramic statuette of an allegorical figure. Hope, from Regency England. It was made by the Staffordshire factory, molded, fired and hand painted in delicately colored enamels. It belongs to a set of three- there are also female figures of"Faith" and"Charity. Unmarked, but you can tell from the bluish color underneath that it is pearlware. A break in the anchor has been professionally restored. A tiny chip in the enamel over left calf. Otherwise in superb condition. Height- 7 1/4" Ca. 1820.

Fine Staffordshire Pearlware Prattware ~ HEARTY GOOD FELLOW TOBY JUG ~ c1790 NR
A Fine English Staffordshire Pearlware Prattware Toby Jug c1790 ~ Hearty Good Fellow Jug ~ Ralph Wood the Younger ~ 10 1/8" to top of his hat ~ 4 1/4" across the base ~ from his front arm to the back of the handle is about 5"+ A genuine 18th century Staffordshire toby jug with distinctive Wood family facial features and soft under glaze Pratt colors. The two Hearty Good Fellow jugs pictured in Griselda Lewis' Prattware book are slightly different than this model; one looks 20 years earlier and the other illustrated looks 20 years later. This jug looks more like her earlier model which she says is'such a lively and competent piece of modeling. The original may well have been by John Voyez or the younger Ralph Wood. This figure has the large eyes with impressed pupils. Articulated teeth and large hands of Wood family ... morefigures. He has almost identical decoration to an example from Leo Kaplan with blue spatterware or sponged jacket with ochre trim, ochre hat, blue flower dotted waistcoat and blue striped trousers. He is holding a small jug painted with a double ochre flower and in his left hand he holds a pipe(although the pipe is gone. This is in fantastic condition for 18th century pottery with no restoration or touch ups; there are 5 small chips around the inner rim of his hat which have darkened with age which makes them less noticeable. See close up pic. The handle is missing from his jug(the two terminals seen below) and I suppose his pipe rested in the spot on his right hand where the hole is; there is nothing missing or damaged on his left hand. This bit of damage seems like a technicality compared to the overall great effect of this jug. Which has a great presence and color display. There is very fine crazing to the pearlware glaze and the pottery is very clean. Thanks for looking. No Reserve! Pair Derby Sheep Figurine Ram Ewe Antique 18th-C Bocage Staffordshire Pearlware
Derby Sheep A rare 18th century pair of Derby sheep with flowering bocage. Dating to around 1780 or so. One is a ewe and the other is a ram with curled horns. Both are white with red spots. The figures are beautifully modeled and painted with fine detail. Though a t around 230 years old. They do show their age in condition; see pictures and notes below. The bases are decorated with gilt flourishes. And have been leveled(long ago? with some sort of modeling compound. They may not be perfect but they are charming, and sure to complement any collection. Light crazing. Discoloration and dirt. Small chip on lower edge of overskirt.
