Adorable Victorian German Porcelain Conta Boehme Fairing Piano Baby Dog Figurine
This is a wonderful early Victorian fairing created by the Conta& Boehme factory of Germany. It is captioned"The Spoils of War" and shows a little baby crying with a puppy who just took her dolly! It measures 5 inches across by 3 1/4 inches high and displays nicely however part of the fence is broken in the back and either the little part in the dog's mouth is broken or it was created this way. Marked with the C&B shield mark and impressed numbers. Wonderful fairing in blue and white! Gorgeous Boy and Girl Figurines by Conta Boehme of Germany. Circa 1840 They both are dressed in white and pink clothing with floral accents. Conta Boehme shield mark to base and what looks like the numbers 1441 on each and a 0. They are in excellent condition the only thing I can see is a firing crack to the left side of her dress. Quite heavy and great quality pieces. Approximately 6 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide at the base. They could also use a good cleaning. I will leave that to their new owner. You are viewing an Antique Porcelain German Victorian Fairing Fairy with Mack Truck Toothpick Holder. It measures about 3" long x 2 1/2" tall. The Fairing shows a painted green Mack Truck carrying an egg. There is a fairy driving the truck with a pink sash. Blonde hair, rosy cheeks and lips, painted on eyebrows and eyelashes. Very RARE 19thc Antique German Porcelain Fairing Figurine Figure Continental
For auction I believe this to be a very rare 19thc German porcelain fairing. In all my years of antiquing I have never seen this particular model. I looked in my books. Including Victorian China Fairings, The Collectors Guide, by Derek H. Jordan and I do not see it listed anywhere. It is a very finely painted fairing. Better in quality than the majority you see besides the Vienna series. It has tiny fine painted detailing and there is gold gilt thoughout. The caption on the bottom is written in German and says something about the boys keeping their hats on. Amazing that it is also in excellent condition. I looked it over several times. Very little wear to any painting and the only chip I might feel is a teeny nick on the top of the man's walking stick. I looked it over several times before seeing that. It measures approximately 4 1/2 ... moreinches high by 3 3/4 inches wide and it is very faint but there is something on the bottom impressed. I cannot make it out and tried several times. If anyone knows, please let me know. This is a wonderful piece for the serious collector. One I am starting out at 9.99 because I do not know the correct value, as I have never seen it before! DESCRIPTION: A rare lovely old German figurine from the late 1800's to early 1900's. Mother bear standing outside of cradle and baby bear inside of cradle. Front of cradle says. HUSH A BY-DON'T YOU CRY-YOU'LL BE SAUSAGE BYE AND BYE" These figures usually had pigs-the bears are much harder to find. They were often sold as souvenirs as well as given away at local fairs. Thus the term, Fairing" There is a circle on the back with writing inside. But I can't read what it says. It may either be a mark, the tourist destination, or the name of the fair. SIZE: 2 3/4" wide; 3 1/4" tall; 2 1/2" deep CONDITION: GOOD overall vintage condition. The top of one bed post is broken. There appears to be some paint missing on the front left side. VERY RARE Antique German Porcelain Fairing Figurine Figure French Military Group
This is what I believe to be an extremely rare miniature hand painted porcelain Victorian fairing from the mid to late 1800s. I have looked in my fairing collector's books and cannot find this model. It is extremely well detailed for a fairing and depicts a soldier sitting across the table from a couple with a dog at his feet. There appears to only be some wear to the gold gilt. No breaks or repairs. It is European and the caption as well. I believe the last word is"Attack" however I cannot make out the first word, if someone knows, please let me know. It is very small scale measuring just under 2 1/2 inches high by 2 5/8 inches wide by 2 3/8 inches deep. I am placing it on a buy it now best offer option because I am unsure of it's worth since I cannot find it in any of the books. One of the pigs has a chip in its ear, there is a crack& chip on the back of the open log like thing, there is what appears to be a firing crack on the other pig, and then there is a chip and crack through the back of the piece. Antique German Victorian Bisque Porcelain Fairing "The Welsh Tea Party"
Antique German Fairing of the Welsh Tea Party featuring Three women around a table. This Fairing is in very good condition. It does have a brown spot on the bottom as seen in the picture. It is marked Germany on the bottom. This is made of Glazed Bisque Porcelain. It does have two very minor small cracks on the back side of the fairing on the bottom. Also Some of the glaze part on the right side on the bottom has been scraped off Which is minor and hardly noticeable. Overall this piece is in very good condition and is perfect for a collector.
