Blanc de Chine Nymphenburg Commedia dell'Arte Mezzetino Figurine Bustelli 1890s
For your consideration. A gorgeous blanc de chine porcelain figurine designed by Rococo master Franz Anton Bustelli for Nymphenburg, circa late 1800s to 1910 Germany. The figurine is Mezzetino, one of the 16 Commedia dell'Arte figurines originally designed by Bustelli for Nymphenburg in 1760. Nymphenburg figurines are some of the finest in the world and are still in production today(even a Mezzetino designed by Vivienne Westwood) The marks on this figurine date it prior to trade laws in the 1920s that required the country name be placed on any imported items to the US. The base of the figurine has the model number and Nymphenburg shield mark. The shield mark is also seen on the side of the figurine, see pictures 4 and 5. The figurine is in decent vintage condition with the only breakage being the end of Mezzetino's club, as seen in ... morepicture 3, which is common for this figurine especially given its age. There are also a few very tiny dark spots on the porcelain's surface. Measures 6.5 inches in height. Overall condition is reflected in the price. This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the late 19 th century. It has the impressed shield marking on the base. The cockatoo measures 8 inches high and is approximately 6 inches wide. It is made of quite substantial porcelain. This color white has a slightly creamy hue. The modeling has well defined details of feathers and claws. It is marvelous to look at from any angle. Nymphenburg Porcelain Blanc de Chine Greyhound - 1906
This beautiful antique porcelain Nymphenburg greyhound was designed by one of the top Nymphenburg designers. Theodor Karner, at the beginning of the last century. The piece is 5 inches high and 10.75 inches long.This piece has been in my family for generations and was originally purchased by my grand-mother in Austria. It's in excellent condition. But there is a very hard-to-see hairline crack/chip behind its front elbow(please see 2nd photo, which is not visible due to its location. I am selling this piece at a much lower price because of the crack. And the sale is"as is" and the item not returnable, so please feel free to ask any questions. Blanc de Chine Antique German Porcelain Queen King Nymphenburg Dresden Figurine
This is a beautiful fine pair of Blanc de Chine Nymphenburg figures of royalty. A queen and king. They each measure approximately 7 1/4 inches high and display very well. The lady is in very good condition with the exception to one finger being repaired. The gentleman is in good/fair condition as he has broken fingers on one hand. Part of the bow on his neck broken and one leaf on a flower on the pedestal and then there is a very tiny nick on the brim of his hat. I feel these would be easy to restore if desired. One of the Puttis is setting a wooden box trap. One already has a small bird in the cage, one is holding onto a very large Owl while one has got some food in his hand in hopes of attracting more birds. This superb grouping is 8.75 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 5 inches deep and is in overall excellent condition with only minor loss to a few leaves on the tree and the putti that is holding the cage appears to have the tip of his thumb missing. These are authentic vintage porcelain German Blanc De Chine Nymphenburg Porcelain figurines that belonged to my father's collection that he acquired in Germany after WWII. They are 2 separate figurines that I'm selling as a set and they are in excellent preowned condition. Here are the item details: The male figurine measure 7"Hx 3.5"W(at widest part of base) It has the embossed the Wittelsbach diamond-shaped coat of arms emblem on the upper base and the underside of the base. As well as the#7& 5I on the bottom, which is the personal identifying mark of the potter• The male figurine is completely intact with no cracks or crazing• He is bowing. Holding a cape in his right hand and a rose in his left. There is a hat under his right elbow. According to the nymphenburg.com web site. This particular maker's mark was used ... morefrom 1754-1895, therefore this piece could date back to that time frame because it doesn't have a crown over the shield. The crown was used post 1895, according to their site. The female figurine measures 7"H x 4.6"Wx3.6"D at the base• It has the embossed the Wittelsbach diamond-shaped coat of arms emblem on the upper base(on the back left side) and on the underside of the base. As well as the#7& 105 on the bottom, which is the personal identifying mark of the potter• She has beautiful. Delicate bows and flowers on her dress, as well as other intricate details(pearl necklace around her neck) She is holding a fan in her left hand and her dress in her right• The figurine is in excellent condition with no cracks or crazing• There is a fissure at the front base of her dress which I took pictures of: it is not a crack. The sculptor of the original figure was Franz Anton Bustelli. He was employed at the Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg in 1754 as a figure-maker. Rare Nymphenburg Bustelli Porcelain Chine de Blanc "Waiting Maid" Figurine
For auction today is a rare Nymphenburg Bustelli Porcelain Chine de Blanc"Waiting-Maid" On flat base is a standing servant wearing lace and bow trimmed dress with maid's apron and hood and holding a puppy in her arms. It is an absolutely magnificent work of art. This piece was completely hand-sculpted. The bows and the lace around the dress are thin and delicate. Even the necklace and earrings are very detailed. Approximately 6.5" tall. The only flaws are the tips of her two middle fingers on her left hand. Which are missing. This is really not noticable the way her hand is positioned. One of the Puttis is setting a wooden box trap. One already has a small bird in the cage, one is holding onto a very large Owl while one has got some food in his hand in hopes of attracting more birds. This superb grouping is 8.75 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 5 inches deep and is in overall excellent condition with only minor loss to a few leaves on the tree and the putti that is holding the cage appears to have the tip of his thumb missing. This beautiful porcelain figurine was produced by Nymphenburg in the 1950's or early 60's. She is an 18th Century Aristocratic Lady with her fan. The applied detail to her dress is amazing. She stands approximately 7in tall and her flowing dress is 8in wide. She done in the unpainted or"Blanc de Chine" finish. There are two impressed marks. She was collected by my mother while stationed in Wiesbaden from 1965-67 The condition overall appears excellent however there may be some missing ribbon at bust line.
