HERE IS A GREAT RARE ANTIQUE PORCELAIN GEISHA LADY PLAYING MANDOLIN MADE IN GERMANY. IT HAS A LOT OF DETAILS AND THERE IS A SMALL CRACK ON THE BACK. BUT CAN BE SEALED REALLY EASILY OTHERWISE IT IS IN GOOD CONDITION. I BELIEVE IT IS EITHER IN INCENSE OR CANDLE HOLDER ON THE BACK YOU CAN PUT SOMETHING IN IT AND ON TOP THERE ARE 2 HOLE TO LET THE HEAT OR SMOKE OUT. ON THE BOTTOM IT HAS HALLMARKS AND SAYS GERMANY AND IS NUMBERED 14574. SHE MEASURE 3 5/8" TALL BY 3 1/8" WIDE.

I bought these at an estate sale from a retired couple who lived in the Orient and collected unusual pieces of art. The statues above are ready to hang. Each piece weighs nearly 5 pounds. There is no indication of where the item was made. They are crafted with great detail. I believe they are porcelain. These are gorgeous figurines, great workmanship goes into each piece, the finest porcelain in the world. The process of dipping lace into porcelain to make his collar and sleeves is amazing! This figurine is 4" tall and 2 1/2" wide. It is in good condition overall from the age of this item. I can't find any damage on this figure. This is a beautiful vintage Occupied Japan porcelain figurine and it must be extremely rare because I can’t find another one like it anywhere. I have searched for days! This Is A Beautiful Vintage Cobalt Blue& White Gold Trim Asian Boy Playing A Mandolin While Sitting On His Ox Porcelain Figurine. The Piece Measures Approximately 9" In Height X 8" In Length. There is a chip on the left side of the base and also a chip on the hat of which you can see in the pictures as shown above. The piece is numbered on the base and it is 119/800. The bottom portion of the base has a felt bottom and also there is gold stamp which reads Republic Of China Made In Taiwan. The period is around 1949-1980.
