The bottom base is a round shaped massive base piece modeled with some relief detail and hand painted with flowers and leafs- and some gold trim highlights. The top part is a flower girl porcelain sculpture; The figurine is superbly modeled and all hand painted! White translucent bisque. The businessman Carl Schneider(who had worked at the Wallendorf factory for some time) together with modelling artist Karl Unger and businessman Hermann Hutschenreuther founded their business in 1859. As Hutschenreuther was a silent partner, his name did not appear in the company name until 1885. At first. The company only produced tableware, miniature sets for children and a few kitchen utensils, mostly decorated in cobalt blue'Zwiebel- Blue Onion] and'Strohblumenmuster' styles which sometimes included gilding. But unlike many other facilities they did not simply copy existing designs but rather used their own creativity. Andrea by Sadek Peasant Boy Girl Bisque Figurines - Large 11" Tall
This is a tall pair of Andrea by Sadek bisque figures depicting a peasant boy and girl. Each with a basket of produce. The colors are beautiful and facial features are distinct creating real expressions. The folds of their aprons and clothing are quite realistic. The details from the bows on their shoes to the vegetables in their baskets, as well as his knife in its sheath on his hip make for a wonderful harvest story. Each figure stands over 11" tall on a 4" diameter base. They are made in Japan. The boy figurine is in mint condition. The girl is missing a thumb and part of a pinky finger on her left hand which is holding her basket. Shown in the 3rd photo) They are both numbered 7554.

Antique porcelain KPM Berlin Germany figurine 19thC Peasant Girl Lady basket VTG
This is a very beautiful antique porcelain figurine of a peasant girl made by KPM Berlin and dating to the 19th century or earlier. The pretty lady/ girl is gathering fruit in a basket and in one hand she is holding a pear. She has her skirt tied up with a ribbon showing her bare feet. She is wearing a light green skirt with striped petticoat showing at the bottom and a pink floral vest with white peasant blouse. The ribbons on her blouse sleeves and in her hair are very delicate and in perfect condition. This figurine is exquisitely embellished with gilt accents. It is truly beautiful and a really fine quality piece of art. She stands about 8 3/4" high. It has the blue scepter mark under glaze and the red global crucigar mark. 1763 to 1837— Berlin porcelain was marked with the sceptre mark in blue under glaze.
