This is for a pair of outstandingly beautiful antique German. Huebach made porcelain bisque figurines dating from 1890 and marked as such. Figurines done in the form of a man and woman with their alternate pets, ie; cats and dogs. Each measures 10 inches tall and 4 inches wide at the base. Condition is good with chips and are well worth the cost of repair. Should be worth about $1,000 repaired-easily. Delicate moss green paint in good shape. Both pieces very finely wrought. The man is 6 inches high and the woman is 5.75 inches high.The woman has a small chip on the under bonnet and multiple cracks that look like they were from firing in the kiln. And under paint, see photos. The man has the same kind of crack, but only one under his hat, see last photos for these.

Antique PAIR of Bisque / Porcelain figurines / couple / skates / dog / pastel
Lovely pair of European Victorian Bisque Figures is offered. Both have similar markings on their bases except one has stamped in a diamond shaped box an"E" and the other"R" They both have an incised"749" over"12" and"74" done with a brush. They stand a little over 13 inches. There is a line across the male figure's arms. See photo 3. It is not a crack, perhaps an aging mold mark? Just sweet and in very fine condition. Pair of Antique French Bisque Porcelain Figurines This listing is for a wonderful pair of antique french bisque porcelain figurines that relate beautifully to each other. They were purchased in 1976 at Le Pappillon. One of Dallas' finest antique shops, which was owned by the late Bertha Louise Ahlchlager. She was known for her exquisite taste and made numourous buying trips to France where she would acquire the finest antique pieces. This large stunning pair of figurines is a beautiful representation of young romance. Both are dressed in detailed 18th century costumes that have been jeweled with raised dots of porcelain. The pair has been extensively hand painted and both have gilt accents applied. The female figure wears a white jeweled chemise. Her pale green and white stripe corset has gilt lacings and is edged with white ruffles. ... moreThe gown is brocaded with blue, pink, and green flowers and edged with white lace that has been jeweled. She holds a gilt edged fan in her hand. Her head is covered in a pale blue marmotte and her blond hair has gilt ribbons. Her feet are adorned in blushing pink slippers with pale blue bows. The male figure is dressed in a white jeweled ruffled shirt, a waistecoat brocaded with flowers and gilt buttons. He wears pale green and white pinstripe brocaded britches, white jeweled stockings, and pale green shoes with white and gilt buckles. He is draped in a white cape with pale yellow lining. Gilt is applied to the edges of the cape. He wears a pale blue beret on his head which was usually worn only by french nobility in the 18th century. Both figures stand approximately 14" tall with bases measuring approximately 6" in diameter. The bases are adorned with handpainted flowers and gilt edges. There is a small vent hole in the base of each figurine. There is another small vent hole in the folds of the cape of the male figure but is barely noticeable. German? Bisque Porcelain Pair Figurine Man & Woman A Day At The Races
This is for an Antique German porcelain figurine/statue from 1910 to 1930 time frame measuring 10 inches tall. It shows a Victorian couple that looks like they may be at the races. She has looking glasses and he is waving a handkerchief. There is no makers mark only the numbers 1048 impressed on the side and on the bottom. The detail is wonderful, looks like they are standing near some ice. The colors are mainly Beige and Burgundy with gold trim. The condition is good but there has been some repair. He head has been glued back, ever hard to see, the tip of the handkerchief is missing and there is some loss of paint. Please look closely at all my photos as they are part of my description.

The are both meticulously dressed for school in Victorian times. Details are very interesting. Colors are vibrant. The purple"water" is decorated with gold gilt highlights. Fine pair Bisque Porcelain Lamps 38" hand painted fine condition 1890's Antique
Up for consideration is a fine pair of antique bisque figurines converted into lamps. The lamps measure 38 inches tall to the top of the finial. The figurines measure about 18 1/4 or so inches. I do not know much about these plaques, they are10 1/2" in diameter. Have no markings that I noticed, 3D effect with a lot of details. I believe they are ceramic, There are a couple places where paint is scratched off, 1 is chipped on the edge that would be next to the wall. See all photos. Antique BISQUE Porcelain Figures MAN & WOMAN in LAVENDER & GOLD - Lovely PAIR
Lovely Bisque Porcelain Couple- Man and Woman or BOY and GIRL. Each has been painted with Lavender and GOLD. These measure 11 inches tall. They are hollow with a solid base and vent hole in back. Might be Staffordshire. Might be German, not sure. The woman's head shows a repair around her neck. Looks like she lost her head at some point in time(don't we all. She was repaired but not by a professional. These are dusty and we have NOT attempted to wash them. Features are beautifully painted with nice rosy cheeks! There seems to be a faint blue marking at the edge of the base on the Boy. Can't make out what the marking says, but it seems to be an old style. Description Up for auction is this pair of large German Bisque Piano Baby Porcelain Figurines. They each measure approximately inches tall. It is in great shape with no chips. Cracks or repairs. If you look inside of the buggy lid down behind the baby, there is a mold flaw from manufacturing(small split line) which I've shown. This is not damage, simply in the mold, but I want to be accurate. Piano baby is a collector's term. About 1880. The well-decorated home had a shawl on the piano. Bisque figures of babies were designed to help hold the shawl in place. They range in size from 6 to 18 inches. Most of the figures were made in Germany. They are in great shape with no chips. C.1885-1895 This is a pair of bisque porcelain nodders in very theatrical"Oriental" costumes. They are wonderfully modelled with great personality in their faces. Their outfits are painted in warm and delicate shades of creamy lemon yellow. Orange sorbet, white and deep pink with gilt decoration. The"mandarin" has an articulated"nodding" head as well as hands that move up and down and a red. Lolling tongue in his mouth. His"kimono" ... moreoverjacket is embellished with a dragon across the back yoke and he has a blonde-brown"fu-manchu" moustache on his decidely occidental face. The lady holds a fan behind her head in two gloved hands. Her head moves back and forth from side to side. Her blonde updo is decorated with gilt pins and her gloves. Vest and blouse feature gold buttons. Both he and she are in blouson pantalons and pointed toe slippers. An exhibition of Japanese life ran for two years in London in Knightsbridge and had a stay in Berlin of six months as well. W.S. Gilbert of Gilbert and Sullivan fame used the Japanese theatre artists who were in London for the exhibition to teach his performers Japanese movement for the famous London production of"The Mikado" The exhibit attracted over a million visitors and the English went mad for anything with Japanese influence in the design. The Mikado" was Gilbert and Sullivan's most successful production at the Savoy and these figures are likely modelled after the performers. They each measure 6 1/4 and 6 1/2 inches high and display very well however the gentleman has had his head reattached and also his hand is broken off and was reattached at his waist with part of the coat missing. The lady on the other hand is in overall good condition. She has two chipped fingers and there are some fleabites to her roses. Here we have a pair of vintage bisque porcelain spill vases which measure just over 4 1/4" tall and 3 1/2" wide. They have no cracks or repairs. The vases are made of very thin porcelain which is uneven and different thicknesses. There is an insignificant fleabite on the inside of the vase to the right of the lady. There is another tiny fleabite on the tip of the log that sticks out to the right of the man. These display perfectly. You really have to search for any flaws. Thanks for looking! PAIR of Antique Ceramic Porcelain Bisque Figurines Marked SPM S.P.M. Unknown
This is a pair of lovely. Very VERY old figurines, just a hair under 8" tall. The girl weighs 1.5 pounds(yes, they are heavy) and is marked"SPM" on the bottom. The boy is marked but very aged- it's impossible to see the actual stamp but he appears to have been made to match her- he does have a red"25" to go with her"10" painted on the base. He weighs in at 1.3 pounds. These figurines have, over the years, had repairs- please enlarge and zoom in on my pictures for details. The boy's neck was broken at some point and repaired, but there is a visible crack and a chip that you can see in my pics. The girl seems to have had her right forearm either replaced or painted at some time. History: I have no idea. I got these figures years ago and at the time I was fairly convinced they were 18th century bisque(unglazed ... moreporcelain or ceramic. Although there are bits that appear to have been glazed, like the beads on the boy figure) The seller, who was liquidating a centuries-old estate, said he didn't really know- but the estate was of the variety where collectors get all crazed and bid highly on things. So, let's be honest. I have no idea what these beautiful figures are worth because I cannot find a mark like it anywhere. I can find Meissner marks, which these do not seem to have, and Schumann marks(also absent) and SPM marks that don't look like the one pictured. Honestly, if this is SPM it is OLD. I am hoping that you know what you're looking at. So this is going to be a three-day auction with free US shipping and no reserve because I like to be risky sometimes and because every so often, ebay bidders deserve a great deal- and I think you'll be getting one. McDuffee& Stratton of Boston(in business 1871-1960) The Vion& Baury factory closed in 1889 so between those two clues we know these dancers were created by Vion et Baury between 1871 and 1889. About the Vion& Baury manufactory: Did you know? that Vion& Baury(formerly Jean Gille manufactory) was the foremost producer of biscuit ... moreporcelain during the Second Empire? Their work was so admired that they were named official court supplier of biscuit to Napolean III's Empress Eugenie. Beating out the Sevres manufactory for this honor. Their figurines won many awards, including the highest award one can receive in France(still to this day) the Légion d'honneur. After they won a gold medal at the London World's Fair in 1851 they were regarded as the best porcelain decorators in Paris(no surprise! Their bisque pieces are in a class by themselves. No other manufactory matches their quality or attention to detail. I especially love the exquisitely modeled hands. Just perfect! The girl is 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" and 7 1/2" high and weighs a little over a pound. The boy is 4 1/2" x 4 1/5" and is a little taller at 7 3/4" He too weighs a bit over a pound. Both figurines are in excellent vintage condition with some minor scuffing and minimal paint loss. There are no chips or cracks. This is a lovely Antique Pair of Porcelain Bisque Baroque Figural 2 Way Candelabras. They can be 3 cup candelabras or one candle candlesticks. They each stand 13.5" tall with the 3 Arm candelabra insert and as candlesticks they each stand 9.5" tall. The 3 arm candelabra insert is 4.6" and 7" wide with a cork liner. The figures are each 7" tall and sit on a 4.5" x 4" base. They are hand painted in pastel colors of pink. Blue, green and yellow with gold embellishment. They are in excellent condition with only one petal missing on a flower at the bottom corner of the insert which can be turned around to the back. McDuffee& Stratton of Boston(in business 1871-1960) The Vion& Baury factory closed in 1889 so between those two clues we know these dancers were created by Vion et Baury between 1871 and 1889. About the Vion& Baury manufactory: Did you know? that Vion& Baury(formerly Jean Gille manufactory) was the foremost ... moreproducer of biscuit porcelain during the Second Empire? This auction is for a lovely pair of vintage bisque porcelain Cherub hanging figurines. They are approx. 6" long. The cherubs have sweet hand painted features and shiney gold draping. They look German to me but I am not certain. They are both marked S8534 and one has remnants of a silver foil label in the wing. These are very detailed figures. They have metal loops on the back for hanging. There are a few tiny marks on the back side of one and they could use a light cleaning otherwise they are in great condition. You are looking at a pair of Antique Victorian Era English Bisque Porcelain Candleabra that were purchased by my grandmother in 1950 at an antique store in downtown Memphis(Beale Street area when houses were still there) in 1951. They were sitting on a Victorian square rosewood grand piano that came from the same home.They have been in our family ever since. They show their age. As my grandmother and mother both used them. So, they were not perfect when they got them, and they show dust, wax and some smoke staining. One of the flowers is off of the pedestal of one of them, but I have the flower and will ship with them. see photo) Some of the flowers seem to be missing a petal here and there. Overall, ... morethey are still very beautiful. My recommendation would be to have them professionally cleaned. Each approximately 17" high and 11" wide. They are in two parts.
