This is a gorgeous pair of large handpainted porcelain figural KPM sleighs! A boy and girl dressed in Royal clothing and both sleighs covered in apprlied porcelain flowers. Beautiful! They are heavy weighted porcelain and each measure approximately 8 inches high by 10 inches wide. Both have some chipping to the applied flowers and leaves and on the boy's sleigh. It looks like there is some yellowing and wear to the paint/glaze. Not readily noticed on display unless you are looking. Overall a gorgeous Victorian pair for the collector! This adorable pair is a recent acquisition from an estate sale and they are in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, or repairs that I could find. They measure 5 1/2" to 6" high. They have no makers mark, only numbers which are listed in my title. I know these were made in Germany and also Japan, and my guess is Germany, but I do not know for sure. If you look inside of the buggy lid down behind the baby, there is a mold flaw from manufacturing(small split line) which I've shown. This is not damage, simply in the mold, but I want to be accurate. Piano baby is a collector's term. About 1880. The well-decorated home had a shawl on the piano. Bisque figures of babies were designed to help hold the shawl in place. They range in size from 6 to 18 inches. Most of the figures were made in Germany. They are in great shape with no chips. E A Muller Antique German Ceramic Figurine Pair - Exquisite Detail!
This is an auction for a gorgeous pair of E&A Muller ceramic figurines made in Germany between 1890- 1927(approx) These belonged to my grandmother. So the provenance is accurate. They are beautifully preserved, but not perfect- please closely examine the photos for damage. The female has a broken finger and broken jacket lapel, the male figure has broken fingers on one hand, and it looks like his head may have been repaired at some point. In addition, his hair is chipped in a few places. They are a bit dusty from storage, but I don't trust myself to clean them. The glaze is vibrant and colorful, and the fine detail on the roses, hair, clothing and base is amazing. The figures are about 13 inches tall and 5 inches wide at the base. Their predominant color is a silver/mint green with painted violet flowers and gold sculpted roses. There ... moreare all ceramic. With no fabric. The face painting is expertly done. The reduced price for the pair reflects the damage. Originally thought to be Meissen. My research has indicated they are actually from Muller who was the business manager at the Porzellanfabrik Rudolstadt Straus& Sohne A.G. in Rudolstadt. Germany. In 1890, Müller is said to have opened his own factory in Schwarza. And these figures may be from that later period.

These are a exceptional pair of early 19th C. figurines that are definitely worthy of your attention. The attention to detail, and the early colors make this pair a sharp find. The antique German statue of the woman measures approximately 9.5' and she does have a few minor conditions issues of which to note. Under her bonnet there is a about a.5' chip, on the base of the statue there is.25' Please see photo's. Where her hands meet holding the grapes, there is small firing flaw. Also, some minor gold loss on the upper and lower rim. There are no cracks, repairs. Considering the age of the piece, she is in fine condition(In my opinion, this statue ... moredates from the turn of the 19th C. around 1800. Possibly could be late 18th C. The antique German statue of the man measures approximately 9.75' tall, and he also has some conditions issues of which to note. There is a.25' chip on the base, his right hand has a firing flaw. There is also a gold piece on the base near the pink flower petal, that is missing a section that measures about 1.75' Also, some minor gold loss to the upper and lower rim(Again, in my opinion this statue dates from the turn of the 19th C. around 1800. Possibly, could be late 18th C. There are no cracks, or repairs. These wonderful 19th C. statues are not easy to find in any condition, and they are certainly ready for a professional restoration. This is a gorgeous rare pair of porcelain bisque figures wearing beautiful silver gilt decorated clothing. They each measure 6 1/4 and 6 1/2 inches high and display very well however the gentleman has had his head reattached and also his hand is broken off and was reattached at his waist with part of the coat missing. The lady on the other hand is in overall good condition. She has two chipped fingers and there are some fleabites to her roses. The age old scenario. These are marked in iron red inkstamp" + MADE IN GERMANY" in a circle& have a# 45 stamped inside each of them. They are obviously HEUBACH quality. But I can't find the mark. An old antique dealer who collected THE BEST bisques once told me that the ones with divots in their eyes are the GOOD ones. These have those divots. For scale the boy is a whopping 11" tall& about 3-1/4" across the front of the base. Each features wonderful hand painting. Check thegold fastners on their'fur' coats. Their boots button up the sides to their knees. Their faces are gorgeous. Remarkably I can find no damage on either. I am starting these at what I think is a fair price& have no reserve on them. Be assured I will pack them with great care& insure them for their full value. Just splendid examples of Victorian German bisque porcelain.

For your consideration is a late 1800"s gorgeous matched pair. Fully marked, Royal Rudolstadt, german figurines. Unbelievable detail with so many raised elements in the bisque. Tremendous craftsmanship and delicate detail in these. Please note the detail in the girls hair on the backside of the figurine, truly beautiful! They just don't have craftsmanship like this any more! These are very large figurines. Measuring 15" and 14" respectively. The bases have a width of approx. 5 1/2" and 4 1/2" The boy is perfect. The girl has a flea bite on her base and a thumb missing where she holds the bouquet. A professional restorator could fix this perfectly if so desired. LARGE PAIR OF EARLY ANTIQUE GERMAN KPM MEISSEN DRESDEN BISQUE FIGURINES 2 FT.
HUGE PAIR OF EARLY ANTIQUE GERMAN BISQUE FIGURINES. THEY ARE EITHER KPM MEISSEN OR DRESDEN. I AM NOT SURE. MAYBE EVEN HUEBACK BUT THAT IS UNLIKELY. I THINK THEY ARE QUITE EARLY BECAUSE OF THE CLOTHES. PERHAPS EARLY TO MID 1800'S BUT I AM NOT SURE. THE MARK ON THE RIGHT IS A DATE MARK. THEY ARE VERY LARGE AT ALMOST 2 FEET TALL. JUST A SHADE OVER 22 INCHES WITH THE BASES AROUND 7 INCHES OR SO. IN EXCELLENT SHAPE FOR THEIR AGE. THEIR HAVE BEEN SOME SMALL PROFESSIONAL REPAIRS BUT THEY ARE NEARLY INVISIBLE AND ALMOST IMPERCEPTIBLE. SOLD AS THEY ARE AND I LEAVE IT UP TO ANY BUYER. THEY ARE FANTASTIC. Rare Antique German Dresden Sitzendorf Lady Gent Figurine Pair Hurdy Gurdy Rats
I will be adding more German figurines so please check back. Here is an unusual pair of hand painted porcelain figurines depicting a woman playing a hurdy hurdy and a gentleman who appears to be selling white rats? I really have no idea what those are. They may be street performers or street sellers. They are painted in attractive pink hues. They make a beautiful display. The only damage I notes is 2 chips to the brim of her hat, mostly seen from the rear, and the end of the hurdy gurdy is missing. There is age wear to gold trim. They are heavy for their size and measure about 9" high. They are marked on the bottom with the blue crossed lines mark of the SITZENDORF PORCELAIN MANUFACTORY- VOIGT BROS.
