Antique Vtg Thuringia Schwarza Germany Porcelain Courting Couple This is a Beautiful Antique Piece that was made in Thuringia Germany by the Schwarza-Saalbahn Factory around the late 1800's. It is of a Couple who are sitting on a Bench and she is playing a Mandolin. Has Gold Gilt decoration on her dress and his coat and along the base. Measures aprox 6 1/2" tall. 5" wide and 3" depth, it is marked with the Schwarza underglaze Blue mark on the base. It has some damage with the Mandolin being broken on the end and his index fingers are broken off. One small chip to the bottom edge of his jacket and some tiny chips to a couple of the flowers. Also a little bit of dust here and there. This porcelain butterfly was produced in Thuringia. Germany by the Schwarza-Saalbahn factory around 1900 Please note that most of the items I ... moresell are Vintage pieces. This is a vintage German WR Dresden Art"Lady With Mandolin and Parrot" figurine. This is a real beauty from my dads estate. Brought over from Germany by my grandmother many years ago. It features a sitting lady in a white and yellow lace dress, holding a mandolin with a parrot at her side. All of the fragile points such as the fingers, head, mandolin, parrot and feet are intact with no cracks, chips or repairs. There are some spots where the lace is broken but this is common for vintage Dresden lace figurines. This is an exceptional piece. It stands 7" tall. Volkstedt German Porcelain Dresden Lace Lady with Mandolin Figurine

Antique Dresden porcelain lace figurine of a lady seated in a chair with a mandolin hanging from her arm, made by Volkstedt, c.1900-1936. The figurine is about 7.5" tall and 6 1/2" wide. Other than the bodice, her dress is made entirely of lace tiers and ruffles, sprinkled with applied flowers. She sits leaning forward slightly with a dreamy expression on her face. The mandolin is beautifully decorated with a hand-painted design. An identical figurine is pictured on page 203 of the book"Dresden Porcelain Studios. Identification and Value Guide" by Jim and Susan Harran. The picture from the book is shown in the next-to-last photo above. Even though the figurine in the book has an old(and obvious) repair in front(the cluster of applied flowers ... moreat the bottom) they place the value at $300-$400. The condition of this figurine is good. However there is some lace loss to the front of the dress and in various areas around the hem. Please see photos for more details as they are a part of the description. This is a rare and distinctive piece. So a larger than normal box will be used to further insure this rare item arrives safely. Please understand we only have one of these rare pieces and have one shot to get it to you safely. Antique Rare Capodimonte Grotesque Caricature Clown & mandolin Figurine
We are pleased to be offering two of these rare antique Capodimonte caricature figurines. This week. The detail on both is much finer than the later 1950's dwarf figurines. These, probably, date early 1900's and are adorned in period costume. Notice the exceptional detail on the faces and clothing. Rococo detail. The hunchback clown is seated and playing a mandolin. Vintage Porcelain Blue and White 6" Figurine GIRL & BOY sitting with Mandolin
This porcelain statue/figurine stood in Great Grandma's curio cabinet for decades. Timeless beauty. It depicts a young maiden and lad, seated together on a tree stump, the young man strumming a mandolin. It is blue and white trimmed with gold and measures approx. 6" tall and 4 3/4" wide at the widest part. This Is A Beautiful Vintage Cobalt Blue& White Gold Trim Asian Boy Playing A Mandolin While Sitting On His Ox Porcelain Figurine. The Piece Measures Approximately 9" In Height X 8" In Length. There is a chip on the left side of the base and also a chip on the hat of which you can see in the pictures as shown above. The piece is numbered on the base and it is 119/800. The bottom portion of the base has a felt bottom and also there is gold stamp which reads Republic Of China Made In Taiwan. The period is around 1949-1980.
