This fantastic, very large figural depicts two beautiful women riding in the back of a chariot with another woman sitting in the front behind two winged griffins that are pulling the chariot. This spectacular piece has outstanding modeling, exquisite detail, gorgeous porcelain applied flowers, fabulous handpainted florals, and two wheels that are hinged and actually work! It measures a huge 19" from front to back and is 14 1/2" tall! It is in overall excellent condition with just a few minor chips: the seated woman has the thumb chipped off her right hand. The newly established'Duxer Porzellanmanufaktur A.G. bought the porcelain factory in Blankenhain(Thuringia) and at the same time liquidated their own factory in Šelty. The factory now started to produce porcelain. Apart from the traditional products. In 1900, the well known mark was introduced in its basic form but at least three other marks exist as you can see in the'Marks' section; around 1904 the factory employed 400 workers. The mark best known today shows a pink coloured triangle and the inscription'ROYAL DUX BOHEMIA' around an acorn(from the name Eichler. Eichel' means'acorn' For the first years(until around 1918) the acorn had ... morean'E' for'Eichler' in the middle, but it was later changed to a'D' for'Dux' whereas the'M' can be found on items produced after 1953 when the company took over the former'Porzellan- und Steinzeugfabirk Carl Spitz' owned by Dr. Adolf Fischer) in the former town of Brüx which 1945 had been renamed to Most. Here is a lovely pair that many will fall in love with. Freshly picked out of the Riverdale(Bronx) New York City. This is a pair of extra large Royal Dux Figures. They both have lables, and man figure has a signature"K. Lerch" see photo) They feature a Shepperd with a dog by his feet holding a cane(metal) and a peasant girl with a sheep by her feet. These are done in classic Royal Dux colors(moss green) in good condition. Size is extra large, and figures are 22.5" tall and around 10" at the widest point. As is the case with all of our other items. We have these on display in our shop, and do not know how long they will last. Please note: photos are the second part of the description. There are a couple of tiny spots of dried something that started to come off when I rubbed my fingernail over it underneath his right arm. Marked under the base with the old Unterweissbach fox mark used from 1908-1938 and signed on the back with the Rosenthal artist H. Meisel.

Rare HUGE Antique Sevres Vion Baury French Paris Porcelain Man Figurine Figure
This is a beautiful rare large hand painted porcelain figure created in France circa 1870-90. He is very heavy weighted and a large size at 19 1/4 inches high by 7 inches wide. And weighs a whopping 11.12 lbs. The green anchor mark of the Vion& Baury factory has worn away, but is partially found on his lady mate listed in my separate listing. His face is very finely handpainted and he is walking in the meadow holding a baby goat as the momma goat looks up lovingly. This figure displays very well however the momma goat has one broken ear and the bottom of his scruff and the baby goat has one broken ear. There is a shallow chip on the back bottom base and the pink flowers are chipped on top. There is a tight hairline on the back of the figure near the bottom and also under the base. It is very tight and the figure feels very solid. Superb ... morefigure for the collector! He is a superb example for the collector and has a lady mate in the last picture that will be offered in a separate listing. If interested please take a look. Antique BERNHARD BLOCH or Johann Maresch HUGE FIGURAL BAR SCENE Figure AUSTRIAN Offered for sale is this HUGE. Antique and presumably Austrian figure of a bar scene. It is most likely a Johann Maresch or Bernhard Bloch piece. The only legible marks are an"O" and some impressed numbers, but looks and feels like some Bloch humidors I've sold in the past. The woman's head comes off and is attached by a wood peg- I think was made this way so her head, that leans far forward over the table, would not get damaged during firing. SIZE: It's a large piece. It weighs just under 20 pounds(9 Kg) The base is approximately 17.5 inches long. And approximately 9.75 inches wide. The figure is just under 21 inches tall. CONDITION: There is an old repair to one of the corner feet of the base. There are a few small nicks on the sharp edges ... moreof the base. There is a nick on the spout of the pitcher on the table. There is scattered paint loss and rubs- although I think some of the piece(for example the man's jacket) is intentionally looking weathered. Her head should be permanently attached- it was glued in place at one point. There is a nick to her hair above her right ear. Please see the close up pictures. MARKS: There is an impressed"O" or circle and impressed"1227" on the bottom as shown. There are some other faint marks under the paint on the bottom but I can't decipher them. A fine and very large porcelain statue or figure of a duck-almost life-size! by Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanfabrik AG of Germany. Made sometime between 1890 and 1936, probably for the German market(as there's no statement of country of manufacture, which would have been needed for export) It's in white porcelain, in a Chinese style, decorated with iron red and gold. Size: 17" tall. 12" long, 5" wide. Condition: Chip on the underside of the beak which has been in-painted by a restorer. Tail has been damaged and trimmed down(see pic) Line in glaze in the based. This is a very high quality large antique hand sculpted black terra-cotta pottery material male lion sculpture. It is a verity large sculpture. Made from solid terra-cotta, and is extremely heavy. He has a wonderful bronzed finish that has a nice green color in the crevices. he has a very vicious open mouthed pose standing on a ball under his from foot. the base is a very large rectangular shape and is beautifully ribbed. the top of the base is nicely textured and has a grass-like look. the piece measures 14 inches long by 13 1/4 inches tall by 6 1/2 inch wide. the piece has some nice age to it and overall in nice shape. For your consideration is an absolutely beautiful huge. 13" in length german piano baby. Dates to the late 1800's, is of german origin and has the makers mark on the base. Beautiful craftsmanship and soft pastel colors make this baby absolutely precious. He is 13" in length. 6" wide and 7 1/2" high.just massive for a piano baby. He is missing part of his pinky finger which could easily be professionally repaired if so desired. Other than that minor flaw he is great condition. Great modeling in the hair. Brilliant blue eyes. Huge Gorgeous Antique Royal Dux Art Nouveau Lady Shell 16" Centerpiece Figural
Gorgeous Antique Royal Dux Art Nouveau Figural Centerpiece This auction is for an outstanding antique porcelain figural centerpiece. The monumental centerpiece is of a finely detailed maiden catching a fish in net and sitting between two sea shells. As you can see in my photos this is a gorgeous example of antique Art Nouveau porcelain. Maker: The figural was made by Royal Dux of Bohemia and is marked as shown in my photo. Age: The raised pink triangle mark dates this piece to between 1900 and 1918. It is mold number 1091. A very early piece. Condition: Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. There are furniture protectors adhered to the bottom, which I will leave in place. They will peel right off if desired. There is one small area(1/2" by 3/8" on the top edge of one shell where there is an imperfection in the glaze(looks ... morelike little pops in the glaze) This is there from the firing process. It can be seen in the last photo and also in the 5th photo at the very highest tip of the shell just behind where the lady is sitting. It is not distracting or easily noticed but I am mentioning for accuracy. In person this just looks like a natural part of the shell, and please realize that my last photo is magnified quite a bit. Size: This outstanding figurine measures 16 inches tall and is about 15 1/2 inches wide. Please see photos for further evaluation of condition.
