The castor measures 10 inches ... morehigh to the top of the handle and is 8 inches at its widest. The glass insert measures 6 inches high to the finial on the cover and is 4 3/4 inches in diameter across the bottom of the jar. This fine silver plate piece features a round base with 4 cabriole feet in the Rococo style. It has oval medallions around the base with a scrolling acanthus leaf handle that raises above the base. The glass jar is acid etched and hand painted with a large landscape scene featuring a mother and child walking on a large estate. The painting is further enhanced with heavy applied gold enameling. The castor is marked on verso "G.A.B. NS 1900", this for a possible Swedish maker.

Victorian Era. Hand Painted French Colbert Bisque Boy& Girl at the Seashore Figurines What a wonderful pair of scarce Victorian era(late 1800s) hand painted Bisque child figurines. Rich colors and gilt detail trim. This young pair appear to be at the seashore. Standing with pail and shovel in hand searching for clams or seashells! The young girl has a shovel in her left hand and a bucket in her right hand. The young boy has a shovel in his right hand and holds a bucket in his left hand. Both figures are incised on the reverse side of the base with Colbert's distinctive signature. The children have exceptional details with blonde colored hair. And they are wearing adorable swimming attire, in pale blue with periwinkle blue accents. The girl’s swim dress is adorned with delicate blue flowers on it. The dress is trimmed in gold. Her ... moreface is lovely and she has blue eyes. She is standing in her bare feet and has her dressed pulled up to keep the hem from getting too wet. The boy also has blue floral design on the front legs of his swim attire. Rich colors and gilt trim enhance the delicate bisque and finely colored detail of the face and eyes of these figurines. The toes. Hands and face are exquisitely molded with outstanding detail. They are so realistic and well made they seem almost ready to come to life. The bases feature molded cresting waves and shore in pale blue with light tan accents. The boy stands 12” while the young girl is 11.75” tall. They both measure 6” at their widest point on the base. These pieces have no chips. Cracks or repairs. I believe that each has a slight flaw which probably occurred during firing. There’s a small spot on the boy’s face(see photo#4) and a dark spot on the girl’s left arm just below where her sleeve ends(see photo#5) These very hard to find pieces are priced considerably below their value. This auction is for a beautiful Victorian plaster figurine from the late 1800's. It is just gorgeous with hand painted details- might be German. But I can't say for sure since there is no mark. It features an angelic looking child sleeping and holding a wreath in hand. It is almost 11 inches tall and 9 1/2 inches across, 5 1/2 inches deep and quite heavy. It is in very good condition for its age- does have a few minor scrapes of paint loss and tiny knicks, but no major flaws or chips. Lovely Victorian era. Hand-painted Bisque Porcelain Bust. Excellent condition. Bust stands 13 inches tall and is 8.5 inches wide at the shoulders. The base is 4 inches square. The sculpture depicts a young lady with blonde braids. Her eyes are blue. Her lips are a coral color and her cheeks are rosy pink. She is dressed in a white blouse detailed with tiny white raised beads. Her pink jumper has a yellow swirl patterned collar, a blue band of trim and a violet bow. The base of the bust is blue and white with gold trim, and is detailed with a gold cross and violet leaf design. The underside of the base is marked with a blue square containing an oval shape. I am also listing another one that is made by the same manufacturer in another listing. They might be carolers. I really do not know. It is made out of porcelain or ceramic. This is a beautiful pair of 16" tall antique Continental and most likely French figurines of a well dressed couple from the late 19th century. Quality and detail is exquisite. Very lifelike expressions on faces and raised intricate beading and decoration details throughout their elaborate dress from head to toe. Not being able to locate a mark at all would date them to earlier than 1892. They do resemble the work of VION& BAURY of Paris especially with the detail on the bases with the very sharp maroon design of C scrolls. Exceptional European Early Antique Bisque Victorian(1837-1901) Lawn Bowling Girl Figurine. Actual age is unknown. The maker’s mark is a hand-etched irregular oval with“GK” over“N” printed within the oval. Given the age of the figurine. Exhaustive research has not revealed the maker. The number“3887” is etched below the oval. Maker's mark photo is included. The figurine measures 8 5/8” high and is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, or repairs. This young girl appears to be from the mid-to-late 1800's. She is made out of the finest and palest bisque and is a quality parian(non-glazed porcelain) example doll from the mid-1800's. Her facial features are that of a parian doll and she is wearing clothing from that era. There is very minor scuffing on the rear dress hem but there are no other marks. The painting is superb ... morein pastel shades. The young lady holds“lawn” or“carpet” bowling balls in each hand. Because of the age and frailty of the figurine. The base felt, which is partially torn away, has not been replaced. What remains of the base felt appears original. During the Victorian age. Very nice figurine of Fine Lady with heat and flower holding in her hand. Victorian Colonial image. Her hat is decorated with flowers and skirt accented with three hand painted pink flowers. Hand painted figurine. Signed on the bottom Japan and one more blue mark that is unknown to me. Lady figurine is 6 1/2" tall and 3" wide. Excellent condition, no damage of any kind. Beautiful decorative lady figurine with with quiet expression on her face and nice sitting position. Even it is not made from well known Viena makers her fingers are done graciously. PR. OLD STAFFORDSHIRE VICTORIAN SPANIEL FIGURINES-HAND PAINTED-APPROX. 5 1/2"
This auction is for a pair of unmarked Staffordshire spaniel dogs. They are about 5 1/2" tall and are hand painted. I assume one is to be male and the other female but am not sure. One has quite a bit more gray in the coat than the other one. They each have a painted gold collar but no chain decoration. The painting on each is similar but not identical. The bottoms have some crazing and each has a tiny hole in the bottom. These were purchased from a recent estate sale and the owner said they were in her Grandmother's home when she was a little girl.
