Her soft blonde hai r is done up rather high on her head in a Pompadour style with sausage curls cascading down each side of her sweet face. Photos 6& 7. She is holding a pastel pink freshly cut rose in her left hand& she tucks a matching rose in her hair on her right side. Both still have their dark green leaves still attached. This is a beautiful half doll related ballerina dancer figurine made in Germany. Her arms are raised in a dance pose. The skirt of her dress is white with blue and gold gilt flowers and her bodice is painted in gold gilt. Approximately 4 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide. Marked on the bottom with a blue crown and N as shown. She is in excellent condition with just a manufacturing flaw where there is a small tiny dull spot where there is no glaze under her skirt. pic 12) There is also one tiny chip on her skirt that is not even noticable I have to run my finger across it to even find it. For sale is a fun half doll(Teepuppe in German) made by Passau( Dressel& Kister) of Germany in the early 20th century. It is a lady that is holding a rose in her right hand. She is superbly modeled and painted and this maker makde some of the best half dolls around. The piece is 3.875 inches tall. 3.25 inches wide and 1.75 inches deep. The piece is marked underneath on the inside with the staff type mark as well as a letter B in blue. The halfdoll is in superb condition with just a tiny chip to a flower petal and a chip to a leaf. Lovely Antique Half Doll Porcelain Pin Cushion This sweet sewing collectable measures 3 1/4 inches tall. The doll appears to be quite old and is in excellent condition. I didn't want to take the pin cushion apart to look for markings. So I am selling her as an unknown. She may be German. I can find no chips or crazing. The pin cushion is filled with wood shavings and is a bit fragile, but still strong enough to hold up the doll. A perfect little decoration for your sewing room. She is tiny, only about 4" all together. She wears a gray, organza type skirt trimmed in tan lace, all this over a lace trimmed pink underskirt base with a tan bottom. She is wearing some sewing pins in her skirt. She is very tightly attached to her skirt, but I can make out impressed numbers and what looks like additional marks under the glaze and possibly a date.
