Has fine and tight crazing throughout. Red painted dress has applied fibers which have worn in some spots. Otherwise shows other signs of expected light wear commensurate with age. This is a large signed"Goldscheider Wien" figurine- about 13.5 inches tall and about 10 inches across at its widest point- with the original Rubens label still attached on the back of the dress. This figurine was created in England possibly right before WWII or during according to the family it was purchased. Measures 7" h The Goldscheider family emigrated in 1938 to United Kingdom and The USA due to the Nazis takeover. Walter Goldscheider started a new factory in Trenton. And is beginning to bow. She has her hair up and is holding a bouquet of flowers in her right hand. The figurine stands 9 inches tall and she is 6 and one half inches at the base. The title“Old Virginia is an interesting play on words since she is far from“old” But no doubt she is a very pretty Virginia woman straight out of“Ole Virginia” in the Southern antebellum period of days gone by. The figurine offered is in good(near mint) condition. She is fully intact with no chips, cracks or any signs of repairs. She has normal crazing on the shoulder area simply do to age. This piece has been in our family for many years. And more than likely was purchased through the Goldscheider factory in Trenton, NJ. Large Old GOLDSCHEIDER EVERLAST Fancy LADY w/UMBRELLA FIGURINE #831
For consideration is the large old Goldscheider Porcelain Figurine of a Lady with Umbrella#831. Dressed elegantly in southern or Victorian fashion. This 12" tall lady has her open umbrella in one hand and her flowered handbag in the other. She has flowers in her hair and her dress has a layered skirt. She is marked on the inside of the base and has the initials"BO" and"JO" in the mold. There is a chip on her skirt that is somewhat repaired and has come partially loose. But the loose piece is still with her. There are a couple of small chips on the skirt tips and she has crazing under the skirt layers. All are shown in the last three photos. She is still beautiful. And if turned, the repaired spot and crazing will not show. P lease l ook close ly at the photos as they are part of the description. Huge Goldscheider and Everlast Penguin figurine 10 1/2 inches tall
What a wonderful find in a Tampa Bay area estate. I am liquidating this for the estate. You are bidding on a huge Goldscheider& Everlast Corp penguin figurine. Stands 10 and 1/2 inches tall about 8 inches wide. Beautifully painted with yellows. Blue green white, black and some wonderful grey green speckling on the back. Has an incised mark on tail Stamped under huge webbed feet mark of Goldscheider& Everlast Corp. Piece unfortunately has a slight flake chip on belly, very small and of course crazing throughout. Former owner had placed felt on feet. If perfect probably a $1,000 piece, but offered with a low opening bid. Penguin collectors this is for you. Buyer pays shipping.
