This is a cute little still bank that depicts a little pig in a change purse! I have heard of these types of figures called"Fairings" because they were used as fair prizes in the 1800's and early 1900's. From what I found out this practice stopped at the beginning of WW I. I am not sure that this is one. But it resembles others. So. Either a fairing or not, this bank was made in Germany in the 1800's or 1900's. At one time I thought I had identified the maker of these pigs but now I can't remember or find it.This one is marked only with a number: 4. The piece measures a little over 4" long and about 3" tall. As you can see there is a chip in the coin slot and a tiny crack running down from it. Hello! Up for auction is this absoutlutley beautiful Giovanni Ronzan Praying Virgin Mary Madonna Figurine. She is in almost perfect condition with no crazing at all. She is detailed with gold pinstriping detail in her hair& on her robe. She is signed Ronzan Made In Italy 315& there is a stamp that is a little blurred but says Brevetto n. 14248. I cant make out the bottom portion. She stands 7 inches tall& about 3 or 4 inches across. I took pictures in the shade as well as in the sun to see the beautiful gold work& just how good of condition she is in. The only flaws(refer to the pictures) are the gold pin striping on the very top of her robe on the right side has been rubbed off a little, but is still visible, the very tip of her ring fingers are chipped& she has a tiny chip under one eye on her cheek that look like a ... moretear. These flaws are hardly noticable, but I felt like I should mention them. She is still gorgeous! This is a really lovely old porcelain figurine. She's 5" tall. Sitting in a chair, she's wearing a white bonnet with blue bow, her dress is blue and white with gold trim. Her fan is gold trimmed as well. Beautifully painted face and in very good condition with no chips or cracks. She's marked on the bottom with what looks like a 57 but it could be an artist's signature as well. So much prettier in person. Shipping may be less. In which case I always refund the difference. Lovely Vintage Meissen FLUTE PLAYER Fine Porcelain Figurine Extremely intricate details of lace-like cuffs and robe trim. Hand painted color details and gold trim accents He is in a seated position and holding a flute. He is done in soft shades of pastel green. Peach, and rose. There are hand painted flowers on his pants. Marked on the bottom with two crossed swords. Size Approx. 4"Tall x 3.5" Wide Very Good Condition Glaze is beautiful and richly colored. No crazing or cracks. He has no chips, nicks, or repairs EXCEPT for one extremely minor flaw-one half of one of the tiny loops of'lace' on the edge of his robe is missing. This is extremely difficult to see or notice and is not a glaringly obvious chip as it is just the surface loop and not the porcelain beneath it. There are loops of'lace' all around it so it ... moreis almost impossible to see unless you are looking for it. Porcelain beneath it is the same color of the lace so it is not standing out as a white chip on a painted/colored porcelain area. See pic#12- it is the third'loop' up from the bottom. This is a very minor'flaw' as the rest of the figurine is in excellent condition. He is a gorgeous figurine. Wonderful for a collector and would look beautiful out on display. A special piece. 1875-79 Bisque Figurine Renaissance Boy, All White With Gold Trim #9046
Carl Schneider. Artist Karl Unger, and H ermann Hutschenreuther founded their business in 1859. But since Hutschenreuther was a sleeping partner. His name does not appear in the company name until 1885. The company only produced tableware. Miniature sets for children and a few kitchen utensils, mostly decorated in the cobalt blue'Zwiebel- and'Strohblumenmuster' styles. The company was soon recognized and their first international award was received 1875 at the Exposición Internacional de Chile(Santiago World Fair) One issue that plagued them was that their mark looked very similar to other porcelain manufacturer marks. This lead to the introduction of the first mark that actually was used continuously, the impressed and uncrowned'G' mark with the double-headed arrow which was used from 1875 onwards. This bisque figurine ... moreis amazing in its simplicity and beautiful with its lack of color. The simple gold accents draw the eye. Showing a renaissance boy simply standing in all his finery. With his rosy cheeks and fluffy hat, the detail is amazing. The piece is marked on the back with"9046" and the Unger, Schneider& Cie. mark, along with the"Dep" indicator. This can either mean Depose or Deponiert. The mark is commonly found on German porcelain and means that the company has applied for a copyright. Information on the mark. With date confirmation(shown below) can be found in Image 1.02 at the PM&M website. Figurine measures 11" high. 3 1/2" wide, and 2 1/2" deep. In excellent condition with no chips, breaks, cracks, or other defects. The gold trim on the shoes and bow are worn. Weight is 14 ounces without packing.

The painting and colors are very detailed and both have a shiny glaze finish with gold highlights. The colors are mainly blue and pink with a bit of pink for the roses on the lady's dress. The lace on each figurine is finely open and trimmed in gold. We did not find a mark on these but suspect they are Japanese from the style of painting. These come from c. 1940s for a time period. They are 8 inches tall and 3.5 inches at widest point. They stood on my wife's aunt's shelf for many. Many years. She gave them to my wife years ago and we have enjoyed them since. Lovely Bisque Figurine, French Woman in Fancy Dress with Fan, Gold Trim
This is a wonderful piece! This lovely lady stands ready for introductions.and she looks like a million bucks! Wearing a bonnet of white bisque. It is tied with a blue ribbon to match her dress. The dress is white with small blue flowers, a long ruffle at the bottom, and pink bows. It is completed with a blue ribbon sash with gold fringe, and a hand fan. Lots of gold trim abound. What I love about this piece is the detail work and how realistic it looks. The figurine shows a woman a little fuller in the face, who is dress from her black shoes to her white gloves. She stands on a pale Orange stand. Made of fine porcelain. The figurine stands 11 1/2" tall and is on a 3" round base.
