This auction is for a White Porcelain bird(Peacock? decorated with gold in the Art Nouveau style. It has a bright white color. Figurine is 8.5" tall. 3.25" diameter. Green underglaze mark of a lion and LHS inside oval and the text Hutschenreuther above oval and Selb-Bavaria Abteilung fur Kunst below oval. In 1814 the Carl Hutschenreuther family founded a porcelain factory in Hohenberg an der Eger in Bavaria. Germany in the early 20th century(1909) Carl's sons Lorenz and Christian founded their own factory in the town of Selb, later know as Lorenz Hutschenreuther, Selb(LHS) They later became Rosenthal. The bird has one flaw. The tip of the top back wave is broken off. The last two pictures show the tip. It is hard to tell unless you are looking really close.
