Beautiful antique c1899 German bisque piano doll- Blowing Kisses- It is 11.5cm(4.5" tall finely modeled with wonderful details. The doll is in very very good condition as you can see by the photos. In the 5th 7th& 8th photo you can see there's an indent in the shoulder which is quite common in early bisque pieces as there was often firing flaws. In the 8th photo I have tried to show a mark in the groin. The little black spots are paint which. I have not tried to remove. There is a photo of the markings however I do not know what they mean. I have tried to explain the faults if you need any more information please email me. This is a great opportunity to buy such a lovely original doll for the collector or someone who appreciates antique dolls.

You are bidding on: AN ANTIQUE BISQUE PORCELAIN FIGURAL STATUE. LATE 19TH CENTURY WINTER GIRL WITH DOG IN COLLAR WARMER, GERMAN MANUFACTURE AND VERY RARE. Here's a BEAUTIFUL find from an estate purchase; this came from a very old household in central Kentucky. And was part of a large lot of antique and vintage pottery and porcelain which I'll be listing over the next few weeks. This beautiful young lady stands about 12 1/2" inches tall. Is dressed in winter clothes and has her pocket puppy wrapped in a warm cuff. I've seen this figural before(I've been collecting, hunting, trading and buying for over 30 years) and I can assure you that this is European production, German or Dutch origin, late 19th century to early 20th century and handpainted. If you really want to make it easy on yourself. I will make it as easy at it ... morewas on me when I found this piece. Inside the bottom, there is a tag with an inscription in typical old-lady writing: As far back as I can remember this doll was at our house- before 1914. It belonged to my mother Martha(Maarke? Selling and trading antique items for over 30 years, so I know that the only perfect piece is one that just left the factory. And even then it probably has some original-manufacture flaws. Here's what I'd note to condition: There is a tiny flake/chip in the back of the base, visible in detail photo. There are also a couple lines on girl's left cheek which are probably original manufacture marks, not damage. Otherwise. damn. it's over 100 years of perfect. Very old and very stylish. This auction is for antique German bisque Schafer and Vater figural elephant shaving mug. It is well molded with nice relief and detail. It has a cameo of ballerina on each side and figural elephant handles. The condition is very good undamaged. There is only minor paint wear on the gold. Huge German Bisque Figurine, Viking, Lohengrin, Beaded
Large Bisque Figurine of Lohengrin in his Swan Drawn Boat. This piece is about 14" long and 12" high. It has no repairs. Cracks, crazing or scratches. Unfortunately it does have three flaws. The bottom of the swan's bill is gone, pictures 1, 4, 5, and 9) and there is a small chip on the right wing of his helmet. Also, there are some stains on the piece, an orange one in the bottom of the boat and several green ones which may be paint and might have happened at the factory. I do not know if they will come out or not. All of the figurines belonged to my mother-in-law; they have been in my garage since 2002, and some of them will need to be washed. I know nothing about cleaning bisque or I would take care of it. There is no maker's mark. No mold mark and no country of origin. Although for many years we called him the Viking, ... moreI do think that he was created to do homage to Wagner's opera, Lohengrin. Therefore, I am pretty sure he is German. If I am wrong, please let me know, and I will make the correction. This is an extremely detailed piece. There are hundreds of gold and white beads on the base. The waves, the boat, the swan and the knight's pants, cloak, mail top and helmet. I am not going to count them- there may be thousands. The colors in the photographs are, for once, representative of the piece so I am only going to point out details that I found amazing. 1. The shield is painted with a gold swan and decorated with white beads. You have to turn the piece upside down to see this. 2. His cloak has been molded to give the illusion of wind-I think the boat is underway. See photos 10 and 11. 3. The swan was molded to show individual feathers; a pink neck ring and a pink beaded bow on the gold reins have been added for contrast. 4. The base of the piece and the shape of the boat echo the rippling of the waves. 5. The top of his hat is shaped into wings with feathers to echo the feathers on the swan. 6. Antique Stamped German Conta Boehme? Porcelain Bisque Girl Piano Baby Figurine
~ Antique German Piano Baby ~ Marked"Germany" on base with symbol that resembles a shield This is a large antique German bisque piano baby figurine that is from a deceased relative's China cabinet from the New Orleans area. I am not an expert on all the manufacturers of that era. But I do know that the authentic ones are marked or stamped with a symbol, crest or shield. This one has a stamp and also reads"Germany" on the base, while many others listed on eBay do not. So this one is not"probably" the real deal. IT IS. It is in the style of Conta& Boehme( This baby girl has golden tresses and is holding a cup. The era of this doll falls between the 1850s-1900. She has great, even pastel coloring and big dark-blue intaglio eyes with defined highlights, rosy cheeks with a hint of dimples, and an open smiling ... moremouth with row of molded upper teeth; blonde hair with pointy curls framing the happy face; bare feet with upturned toes; she wears a yellow embossed dress with gold highlights with blue lace ruffle trim and fuchsia pink bows at the shoulders, and she is holding a lavender-pink-colored cup. She is in overall fair condition. Because she is missing a little part of her index finger on her right hand. There is also a hairline on underside of base that slightly and very faintly extends up the bottom sides of the figurine(about 1/2-1/4 inch, please see photo) The hair line is smooth. I do not have the tip of the finger. PLEASE SEE PICS of underside and edge of base. Neither the hair line or little chip next to it is visible for purposes of display. I do not know enough about antique porcelain to know if the missing finger can be repaired/replaced, but I am guessing that this is possible if someone chooses to do so. There are a few scattered specks of spotty discoloration from age, the only ones really noticeable are on her toes. Gorgeous pair of Victorian handpainted busts of a little girl and boy. They date late 1800s and are beautifully handpainted and modeled. Measure approximately 11 and 10 1/2 inches high by 6 inches wide. They display wonderfully however the boy's hat has been broken and reglued to a section(see photos) and the girl is excellent besides a bit of paint wear on her chin and some nibbles to the very bottom base. Featured for Auction we have an Antique/ Vintage bisque figurine of a cherub on the side of a dragon headed sleigh. Wonderful coloring. Probably hand painted in pastel colors, with raised enamel. At least we believe this is bisque it may be porcelain. The little cherub is just adorable with his wavy hair, blue eyes, pink wings, and his arrow on his side. It measures about 8 1/2" long by 5" wide and 6" tall. We believe it is German in Origin, but are not certain as there are No Markings. It is in wonderful condition, with minor chipping on the flowers. Also we don't know if the dragons nose is supposed to blunt as it is or if it was pointy originally and broken off and repainted, as it is hard to tell. Antique Vintage German Bisque Doll or Girl figurine Planter with Cherub or Angel
You are bidding on one vintage bisque figurine made in Germany. This is a nice size piece. To me it looks like paradise. This is a very whimsicle piece. It measures approx 8 1/4 inches tall. Across the bottom 7 1/2 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide. Measured across the front approx 8 inches long. This item is marked. It appears to be a G Dep and a number 8712 etched in the bottom. This is of a girl with a cherub or angel looking into a planter of some sought. On the bottom are two ducks drinking water from a water fall. Very nice piece. There are a few small chips. Around the top vase type part at the tips. I see three of the tips have small chips. On the cherub or boy his hand has two chips one on the inside and one on the outside. His purple wrap also has a small chip on the front and a larger chip on the side of it. I see a little chip ... morealso on one of the pieces of wood along the bottom basket. All chips are small. I used a magnifying glass to find most of them. There is some gold paint wear on the bottom of the girls skirt and other places. I am not sure what the makers marks for these type of items are, so I can not tell you who made them. I will however try to capture them in a picture for you to see. I was told this was German bisque, but again, I have no way of knowing for sure. This is an adorable item. Please see all pictures. I wish I could add more than twelve pictures for some of these pieces. This is an estate sale find, actually the bisque items came from a place that attends auctions and also purchases entire estates. I am not an expert. I will describe items to the best of my ability and tell you what I see. Because I am not perfect it is possible for me to miss something that is important to an expert. If I did not mention any other issues, I do not see any other issues. All of the pieces seem a bit dusty and could use to be wiped down with a damp cloth. Here's a BEAUTIFUL find from an estate purchase- I acquired these several years back. And am only just now finding it time to part with them. This pair is just. Well. stunning. No other word for it. They stand about 13.5 inches tall, big enough to make a great display statement, and the colors and paint are dreamtastic! Young man is holding a small french horn in one hand and a letter in the other; young lady appears to be reading a letter just received. Both are wonderfully outfitted in period regalia. With pastel mauves and blues and gilt/gold trim, both wearing the very fashionable bicorner European hats often seen in military parades. There are no date or manufacture stamps on these figures, ... morebut experience and research tell me they are European in origin, probably German, and most likely date to the mid to early 20th century. Both have some faint pencil marks in the recessed areas of the bottoms, looks like initials and perhaps a date but too hard to read and I have no idea if that would be the mark of the original artist or a previous owner. Please know that I am extremely tough in grading my pottery. Porcelain and glassware: I've been collecting. Selling and trading antique items for over 30 years, so I know that the only perfect piece is one that just left the factory. And even then it probably has some original-manufacture flaws. I tend to call out flaws that other sellers might not notice or conveniently overlook, so when I tell you it's right, it's right. I want everybody happy. That being said. Here's what I'd note to condition: Both figures could use some light cleaning from experienced hands. They show some age in the recesses, and there are a few little"age spots" present, notably on the female's right arm area; if you are experienced with fine antique bisque you will know what I'm referring to. For your consideration is an Antique Piano Baby Figurine made by Gebruder Heubach. A Piano baby is a figurine used to hold the edges down on the large shawls that would cover the piano. Doll sits 8 1/4" tall. The company. Which translates as Heubach Brothers, was established in 1843 by Georg Christoph and Phillipp Jakob Heubach when they purchased an existing porcelain factory in Lichte, Germany. The company began to manufacture items such as household pottery. Figurines and novelties, and in 1863 opened a local art school for sculptors. This training led to the company becoming renowned for its high quality and lifelike figurines, including their range of which are highly sought after by modern collectors. The company registered its‘sunburst’ mark in 1882. And by 1910 h ad begun to produce bisque dolls. Along with bisque doll heads ... morefor other manufacturers across Europe and the United States. RARE* 16” ANTIQUE GERMAN BISQUE HEUBACH GIRL W/ FAN*GORGEOUS* This beautiful figurine was found at a recent local sale. She is an unmarked Heubach. I have an identical one that IS marked. Purchased long ago along with her mate and also a collection of about 50 Heubachs…she is guaranteed Heubach. As any Heubach collector can tell you, they are not all marked. This girl stands a massive 16” tall. She is holding a fan above her head. The fan is embellished with purple hand painted flowers. This girl has a very serene look on her face. See close-up pictures. She has intaglio blue eyes and coral colored blush and lips. There are ever so slight dimples on her cheeks. Her blonde hair is done in a top knot with a pink bow. Her dress is a pale greenish yellow with purple and gold embellishments of flowers and leaves and scrolls. There is one flaw ... morewhich is a shallow chip at the front right bottom edge. It has been painted in(paint matches well) and is not very visible. On the base. You might see slight smudges. This is where the painter held the item while decorating it. Mine also has it as does a few of my other larger Heubachs. It is slight, but want to mention it. If you are a Heubach collector, you know what I mean. This girl is large and heavy and will ship FedEx well packed. Pictures are taken under different lighting. Some flash, some not, sometimes outdoors so there is no question about what it looks like. This auction is for 4 antique German bisque/porcelain Nomes with the most realistic"fly's" I have ever seen incorporated on these Nome figurines. The wings on the fly's look transperant and the legs look to be metal. They fly's are so realistic looking I had a Blue Jay fly down when I was I was taking the pictures to examine one of the fly's! The bottom is stamped"Germany" eaither on their butt or bottom of hand and impressed is the manufacture which reads"regd" Each figurine is about 4" long by 2 1/2" tall. Condition is excellent as I don't see any nicks or chips anywhere. I have no idea of the age but I am guessing 1920-40's and very high German quality. I really can't believe the fly's! Lovely German antique piano baby figurine of a beautiful girl holding her clown-doll. This adorable baby girl has wavy blond hair. Blue eyes and a very life-like face. She stands 10 inches tall and 5.5 inches front to back and almost 4 inches wide. There is a black number 22 marked on the base. Appears to be the quality of Hertwig or Heubach but not marked as such. Lovely German antique figurine of a young girl trying out grandma or grandpas wire rimmed glasses. She has a large ruffled bonnet. Almost as if she is playing dress-up. Very cute small figurine/ bust. There is fading on the gold gilding on the pedestal. She is 5 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide. It has a black marking on the bottom that looks like number 2. Tremendous detail in his tattered clothing and scraggly beard. Figurine is mounted on a lattice bronze base. It is 2 1/2" square and stands about 6 1/4" tall. Base is marked with the crossed hayforks of Volkstedt. Along with number 6173& 27, and a label that reads MAISON GUESNU BIARRITZ. Overall the piece is in very good condition. One slight chip at the the end of the tree root on the base. No other chips or defects were observed. The piece is somewhat dirty which actually kind of relates to the subject himself. Antique Carl Schneider German Porcelain Bisque Figural Girl Vase 1880's Heubach
This is an original matching pair of Victorian era. Hand-painted bisque porcelain busts of a girl and a cavalier boy that is circa 1880's- 90's. This pair of charming bisque figures are unmarked. Judging from the technique, colors, and quality of this small busts I would say that they could have easily have been made by the GEBRUDER HEUBACH factory in Germany, but you can be the judge of that yourself. These delicately modeled antique bisque figurines features a elegant Victorian girl in a beautiful bonnet and handsome young Cavalier. Both are done in a bright jewel like pastel colors. This pieces is in very good condition and almost no wear to the paint at all. There is only one very small chip to the back of her bonnet as can be seen in the images.
