Victorian Era. Hand Painted French Colbert Bisque Boy& Girl at the Seashore Figurines What a wonderful pair of scarce Victorian era(late 1800s) hand painted Bisque child figurines. Rich colors and gilt detail trim. This young pair appear to be at the seashore. Standing with pail and shovel in hand searching for clams or seashells! The young girl has a shovel in her left hand and a bucket in her right hand. The young boy has a shovel in his right hand and holds a bucket in his left hand. Both figures are incised on the reverse side of the base with Colbert's distinctive signature. The children have exceptional details with blonde colored hair. And they are wearing adorable swimming attire, in pale blue with periwinkle blue accents. The girl’s swim dress is adorned with delicate blue flowers on it. The dress is trimmed in gold. Her ... moreface is lovely and she has blue eyes. She is standing in her bare feet and has her dressed pulled up to keep the hem from getting too wet. The boy also has blue floral design on the front legs of his swim attire. Rich colors and gilt trim enhance the delicate bisque and finely colored detail of the face and eyes of these figurines. The toes. Hands and face are exquisitely molded with outstanding detail. They are so realistic and well made they seem almost ready to come to life. The bases feature molded cresting waves and shore in pale blue with light tan accents. The boy stands 12” while the young girl is 11.75” tall. They both measure 6” at their widest point on the base. These pieces have no chips. Cracks or repairs. I believe that each has a slight flaw which probably occurred during firing. There’s a small spot on the boy’s face(see photo#4) and a dark spot on the girl’s left arm just below where her sleeve ends(see photo#5) These very hard to find pieces are priced considerably below their value. Antique TERRACOTTA BUST Victorian Woman MANDOLIN Sculpture ART Italian FRENCH
Antique Terracotta Victorian Bust! Here we have a Fabulous Antique Terracotta Bust of a Victorian Lady playing a Mandolin. She measures approximately 17" high by 12" wide-elbow to elbow. She came from the estate of an elderly woman who traveled extensively. And collected only the finest Antiques while in Europe. I was told by the family she was from Italy and purchased in France. or maybe it was the other way around? She is from the Victorian Era which would make her over 100 years old! She has the most peaceful look on her realistic face as she strums(what I can only assume it a love ballad) on her Mandolin. Beautifully done from her Lace Collar and Cuffs to her Flowered Dress. She is wearing a mosaic pendant around her neck and has a pretty hair band around the curls that fall from the top of her head. I have brushed her with ... morea soft paintbrush to get the dust off and lightly wiped her down. I see in the photos there is more dust close to her collar. And mostly in the crevasses of her hands, around her facial features etc. but I did not want to do a real cleaning as I am not an expert in Terracotta, so I will leave this up to the lucky winner. So please excuse the lack of cleaning and the camera glare. She has some loss of the"velvet" on her pendant around her neck and it looks like part of the Mandolin neck has been glued. I actually didn't notice this for a while, as when she is placed on the table it is not all that noticeable. Certainly does not detract from the detailed beauty of this piece. Some little nicks here and there as is typical of terracotta from this era. She has felt around the base and the numbers 477 29 on the back. She is very heavy! A lovely Art Piece that doesn't come along very often. Perfect for your Eclectic, Victorian or Curated Home! I have a very low reserve which does not reflect the value of this piece. Has a Green Under-Glaze Anchor mark as pictured on the base. Made in the late 19th C. by the French Company Vion& Baury(C.1880's Time Period. Measures approximately 9' in height, and the condition is just fine. There are no hairlines, cracks, or repairs. There are some rim edge chips on the lower part of the base as pictured, this rim section measures about 1.75' Also, some loss to the gold decoration that runs around the oval base that is commensurate with the age. The fancy bow underneath his neck is missing a small piece that measures about.75' This is a very well done Late 19th C. French figurine that is all hand decorated. Cordey Porcelain Victorian French Woman
This is a beautiful porcelain figurine of a Victorian French Woman. She has exquisite facial details. Including pursed ruby red lips, blue eye and pretty eyebrows. She has bologna curls and a gold tiara, ruffles on her dress and a rosette in the front. She is extremely delicate and pretty. On her base is written 5014 and the number 4 circled. The figure measures 6.5 inches from tip of tiara to base. There are no chips or cracks but there is some slight bits of paint missing from her tiara. There is a tiny brown spot on her shoulder, which I believe is there from the manufacture.

This is a beautiful pair of 16" tall antique Continental and most likely French figurines of a well dressed couple from the late 19th century. Quality and detail is exquisite. Very lifelike expressions on faces and raised intricate beading and decoration details throughout their elaborate dress from head to toe. Not being able to locate a mark at all would date them to earlier than 1892. They do resemble the work of VION& BAURY of Paris especially with the detail on the bases with the very sharp maroon design of C scrolls. Condition: wonderful condition with just a small flea-bite on the back of her ribbon. And a couple teeny pin-size holes in the base at the back, likely from the manufacturing process. In the pics. Antique French VION BAURY Bisque Porcelain Victorian Lady Gown Figurine dresden
This is an early French bisque statue of a beautiful woman in the garden with a swallow. It was created by the Vion& Baury factory of France circa 1860-70. She is a large and heavy weighted piece at 21 inches to the top of her extended arm. The detailing is exquisite and she has a beautiful realistically painted face. She displays very well however has suffered a broken finger. The swallow was repaired and I think part of that finger on the hand holding the swallow. I also believe there were three birds at one time on her dress that are now missing. The tiara in her hair has some wear. Their outfits are decorated with gold accents& ... moredesigns on pinks. White and tan cream colors. One figurine has a nodding front to back head as well as hands that move up and down. The other figurine holds a large fan behind his head and his head nodds from side to side. His hair is up on top of the head in a braid. The set is in good pre owned condition. They have no chips or cracks but the weights that move the heads and hands have been replaced or repaired. I have shown the inside of each to see the inside of the weights. This does not effect the outside and can only be seen from the interior. The Nodder with Fan measures 6 1/8" tall, 5 3/4" long and 5 1/2" deep. The Nodder with Moving Hands measures 6" tall, 5 1/2" long and 6" deep. This is a unique and beautiful set to add to a collection or display. This is a beautiful finely hand painted porcelain bisque French or Bohemian figure of a lovely young lady getting ready to dip her feet in the water. It is a heavy weighted large piece at almost 11 inches high by 7 1/4 inches in diameter at the base. The overall condition is excellent. I just see one very small flake chip to the back of one of the green pieces of ribbon coming off her hat. It dates mid to late 1800s and the bottom is marked with impressed numbers and the letter N. A Fantastic Antique victorian bisque baby in wicker storage basket. It has a wonderful tag on it that reads"Cabin Baggage" Possibly alluding that the little tot is a stow away on a cruise line, or maybe this is a make-do bassinet on a country vacation. It measures 7" wide by 7 1/2" high by 5" deep. The detail is wonderful. The underside is impressed"DEPOSE" which should make this a French piece that dates to around 1890-1900. There are no chips to the figure or the basket, the applied flowers have loss, as would be expected. Two dark spots to the baby's face, it has not been cleaned well.
