Tang Dynasty, 8th or 9th Century A.D. Possibly a Ming Dynasty or 18th or 19th Century Qing Dynasty Revival Imitative. SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: Height: 145 millimeters(5 3/4 inches) Breadth: 79 millimeters(3 1/8 inches) Thickness: 80 millimeters(3 1/4 inches) CONDITION: Very good. No repairs but the majority of glaze is gone. A little wear and a few blemishes consistent with any decorative item which was buried for over one thousand years. A very thick alkaline soil deposition layer. Not flawless, but certainly in a better than average state of preservation– and unrepaired! Stands on its own. SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: Height: 278 millimeters(11 1/8 inches) Length: 232 millimeters(9 1/3 inches) Breadth: 99 millimeters(4 inches) Base: 150 x 74 millimeters(6 inches x 3 inches) 12 millimeters(1/2 inch) in thickness. CONDITION: Very good. Minor porcelain chips. There are minor chips in the porcelain glaze at the rider’s right front shoulder; to the rider’s waist, behind, center; to the back side of the horse’s right leg; at the edge of the horse’s stomach, right side, center; and at the rider’s left elbow. There is as well a scattering of minute porcelain chips throughout, and the top of the horse’s right ear is also chipped. Other than cleaning, there has been no restoration work. The minor chips could be repaired, without additional cost, if you would like our conservator to repair the chips. There remains some mild soil adhesions, small areas where soil still adheres to the statuette, despite our best efforts to clean away all soil adhesions. She is in very good condition with no damage or repairs to her and she has some lace loss on the front and back of the dress(see pics) A beautiful figurine featuring yellow roses affixed to her gown. She stands about 5 1/2" tall and is marked with the blue Dresden mark and impressed 118 on the bottom. Included is a 2" tall black onyx glass stand that has a couple flakes on one of the three feet. She stands on a circular base with a gilt motif. The dress edge and boddice is covered with sharp little points of glaze. Some loss to the little points and she would originally have been holding a fan. Now missing along with her forefinger, and one of her feathers in the hat have been knocked off. Figurine shows amazing detail and craftsmanship throughout! Figurine is hand painted and adorned with gold gilt accents! Piece is in excellent original condition with no chips. Vintage Antique 30s 1930s Art Deco Royal Dux Figurine Nude Dancer Flapper Girl Fine Porcelain Lady Woman Figure Topless* This high quality 11 1/4-inch Art Deco porcelain figure was made by in Czechoslovakia by Royal Dux. Most likely in the 1930s. It depicts a lovely dancing lady who is wearing a long, swirling sky-blue skirt, a smile, and not much else. This topless flapper goddess has wavy light red hair. Her graceful ballet-style pose would be hard for most of us to pull off- look at that arched back! but she manages it with a serene smile. The facial features and the little flowers on the skirt and base are painted by hand with delicate skill. The underside of the figurine's base has Royal Dux's green factory stamp. It also has an impressed number 216(probably the mold number of the statuette) A hand-inscribed Roman numeral II, ... moreand what looks like a capital letter P with squared-off edges. I've provided a photo so you can see these marks for yourself. The piece does not seem to have the applied pink triangle mark, which could mean one of two things: 1) it might have once had a pink triangle and lost it; OR 2) it might have been made before the year 1900, which was the year Royal Dux started using the triangles. This piece is a wonderful early example of Royal Dux's celebrated Art Deco/ Art Nouveau works. The figurine is a beautiful study in line and movement. And a landmark in the storied history of Topless Lady Enjoyment. This piece is somewhat rare and hard to find. An identical one(but with a different skirt color) sold on Etsy for around $400 last summer; I don't think anyone has offered it for sale since then. For details on size. Zsolnay Pecs Hungary Fine Porcelain Art Deco Nude Lady Figurine Old Mark 10 1/3"
This is a very classy figurine produced by Zsolnay in Hungary. This lady has a beautiful design. Her colors and features are intricate and life like. This figurine is made of a very high quality porcelain material with a glossy finish. It was expertly hand painted down to the finest details. Zsolnay began operations in 1853. By the 1870's they had gained world recognition for their porcelain designs. They have continued in their success to this day. This piece is well marked. Zsolnay began using this style of marking in the early 1920's and used it up to the late 1960's. The mark on this particular figurine is unusual since it spells Zsolnay with an I on the end instead of a Y. I could not find another Zsolnay mark with this variation in the spelling. I believe this piece dates to the Art Deco Era based on it's style and the ... moreunusual mark which also includes rather primitive hand inscribed letters and numbers. I have taken several pictures for your better understanding. I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have. As to the condition; There are no chips. Cracks, scratches or damage of any kind. There are two glaze misses in the back under each of the arms which are manufacturer defects. This is shown in the last picture. Wonderful Vintage Fine Porcelain Bisque Figurine with Holder ca. 1900- 1940
This is a Wonderful Fine Porcelain Bisque Figurine of a Man 17th-18th century style with open flower at side. Figurine measures 7 3/4" in height- base 3 5/8" and open flower 1 1/2" He is wearing a mauve jacket with pale blue britches and white stockings with Gold Gild shoes. Not marked but indicative of Bisque made in Germany. When I purchased this it had been glued at one time towards the bottom of the statue. Very hard to see- but shows up on the picture do to the glue shining in the light- very slight- excellent repair. Otherwise in good condition and a very nice figurine. But this looks like a good one to me. Just look at the quality. The detail in the elements: his facial features; his delicate fingers; his ruffled collar; the perfect little silver buttons on his decorative pajamas. The hand painting is very fine on the pajamas and I can see this man is quietly richly dressed for bed in an Ermine trimmed lavender robe. Lined in blue, silk no doubt! His pajamas also have lavender behind the legs. A subtle detail, and his slippers are lavender. The more I study him. The more I realize what a fashion plate he is! He is set off on a dark blue circular base trimmed with two raised rings of white“jeweled” dots. As I said. I don’t know anything about these, I am guessing he is German or Austrian and nineteenth century but that is just a guess. If anyone recognizes this. Any info would be welcome. Harlequin figurine, fine porcelain, Ludwigsburg, Commedia dell'Arte, ca150 years
Porcelain statuette of Harlequin. The country bumpkin character from the Commedia dell'Arte(Italian Comedy) pulling the tail of a dog. On some statuettes, he is using the dog as a sort of musical instrument and pulling his tail to get yelps during his song. That might be the case here, but it's not that clear. Hand painted. Harlequin is wearing his characteristic shirt decorated with playing cards, which requires a certain amount of careful detail work on the part of the ceramic painter. The molding is extremely crisp with vivid carved details, and the dog's face is wonderful. Under the base(see photo) is the logo of the Ludwigsburg factory in Germany, stamped in blue underglaze. The piece was sold to me(by an expert! as 18th century, but I do believe it's 19th(certainly not later) especially since it's quite large- height- ... morejust under 8 inches, width- 4 inches, depth- 3 1/2 inches. The only damage I can spot is to the right paw, which is broken off.

Vintage fine porcelain Italian Capodimonte lady figurine. Approx. height is 5" Bottom is marked 552 Italy. There is also a faded sticker label. This item is in nice condition. It has a few very tiny flea bites or pin pricks in a few areas where the enamel has worn through.
