There is some enamel missing underneath the small knob on the lid. The knob is wobbly. I am wondering if these small teapots were made for child tea sets? If anyone has the answer. I will very much appreciate. It dates from the Meiji era(1868-1912) most likely prior to 1900. Up for your consideration is a beautiful Antique fine bisque porcelain figurine depicting a young Victorian women in a flowing dress with a hand fan! Figurine shows amazing detail and craftsmanship throughout! Figurine is hand painted and adorned with gold gilt accents! Piece is in excellent original condition with no chips. Fine Pair Large Antique Early 19th C. German Statues_Priced to Sell Estate Find! This is a fine pair of antique Germany statues that came from a old Fort Mitchell. Kentucky estate sale. These are a exceptional pair of early 19th C. figurines that are definitely worthy of your attention. The attention to detail, and the early colors make this pair a sharp find. The antique German statue of the woman measures approximately 9.5' and she does have a few minor conditions issues of which to note. Under her bonnet there is a about a.5' chip, on the base of the statue there is.25' Please see photo's. Where her hands meet holding the grapes, there is small firing flaw. Also, some minor gold loss on the upper and lower rim. There are no cracks, repairs. Considering the age of the piece, she is in fine condition(In my opinion, this statue ... moredates from the turn of the 19th C. around 1800. Possibly could be late 18th C. The antique German statue of the man measures approximately 9.75' tall, and he also has some conditions issues of which to note. There is a.25' chip on the base, his right hand has a firing flaw. The receptacle has a.75' chip, along with a few chips to the rim(Please see photo's. There is also a gold piece on the base near the pink flower petal, that is missing a section that measures about 1.75' Also, some minor gold loss to the upper and lower rim(Again, in my opinion this statue dates from the turn of the 19th C. around 1800. Possibly, could be late 18th C. There are no cracks, or repairs. These wonderful 19th C. statues are not easy to find in any condition, and they are certainly ready for a professional restoration. Fine Antique Vintage Capo Di Monte Capodimonte Cherubs Wall Bracket Shelf Putti
We are selling an adorable and very fine older Italian Capo Di Monte Wall Bracket adorned with 2 cherubs or putti holding birds and flowers. The bracket is in the shape of a tree branch. Sculpted painted flowers are applied; the bracket itself. The structure, the tree branch is decorated richly with hand painted gold. The wall bracket form is seldom seen in Capo Di Monte type ware. The measurements can be viewed in the photographs- it is a lovely size that will fit into many spaces- not too large. But also not so small that it will not be noticed. This bracket will be noticed! It is in very good condition for it's age considering the fragile nature of the delicate flower petals. Arms, legs, hands, fingers and feet. In fact, I have been able to find only one flower petal broken off and lost. I can not find any other damage. The item is ... morebeing sold as it is. He carries an umbrella, a book in hand his hat firmly upon his head, it reads on the base'I am off for a long Journey' she, with her reply, I am off with him' her large ruffled rimmed hat, a bag in hand and her umbrella as well. Their clothing is so nicely done and they each have tiny gold bead like accents on their clothing. It is rare to find a pair of these antique Germany figures together. Check out the last pictures too, as I didn't ... morerealize until this evening and had to take a pic of it, that there is a crack? at the back of her neck. It is strange as at first I thought they painted a line across it, and it took me a bit to realize it is a crack because it doesn't go around and she hasn't been repaired. Not even sure how it could do that? It doesn't detract from her delightful charm, and I am sure you could do a slight repair on it, but she has been that way as long as I've had her and I just noticed it. I purchased the set at an Antique Auction awhile back and have had them displayed, drawing quite a bit of attention. They do need to be lightly cleaned, or you may leave them as they are. I did not want to damage them in doing so, and they are 1900 c. There is a mark on the bottom of each. The female mark is difficult to see and the male has a better mark, but someone glued felt to the bottom? I tried to pull it back and take a picture. It is a double circle and I can read Germany but not sure what else. The way they did the facial features and the attention to detail make me wonder if they could be Heubach. Antique German Dresden Fine Porcelain Figurines (Out of Hewlett Packard Estate)
I believe this pair of figurines are German porcelain Volkstedt Dresden unmarked. The craftsmanship is so remarkable! If you look closely you can see the separation of the fingers on their hands; their eyes are painted with precision and their clothing is loaded with detail even in the tiny flowers on the boy's vest. This kind of craftsmanship isn't something you will see in your everyday porcelain figurine. I purchased this set of figurines in Tucson. Az in 1992. when I was helping with an estate sale for the home of one of the Hewlett Packard family members. They were originally a pair of lamps but I chose to keep them as figurines. The girl figure measures 8 1/4" high. 4" wide. The boy figure measures 9" high, 4 1/2" wide. The condition is very good to excellent. No cracks. Chips. All the fingers are intact ... moreas are the cluster of roses on the front of the bases. The only real wear is in the lace on the girl. It has darkened over the years and some of it has come away from the figure. None of it is missing. The number 6154 appears on the bottom of each base. Condition: I have looked this over carefully and all I can detect is a tiny chip to the blue glaze on the top of the base by his foot and a teeny chip on the inside edge of the blue bow on his night bonnet. It looks in incredibly good condition for the medium. Please see images. Notes: This figurine came from the collection of a wonderful man in his 90’s who retired down here from New Jersey. I got a lot of nice quality paintings from him which I think are all sold. ... moreThis figurine has been sitting on my mantle since we bought it. I don’t really know anything about these. But this looks like a good one to me. Just look at the quality. The detail in the elements: his facial features; his delicate fingers; his ruffled collar; the perfect little silver buttons on his decorative pajamas. The hand painting is very fine on the pajamas and I can see this man is quietly richly dressed for bed in an Ermine trimmed lavender robe. Lined in blue, silk no doubt! His pajamas also have lavender behind the legs. A subtle detail, and his slippers are lavender. The more I study him. The more I realize what a fashion plate he is! He is set off on a dark blue circular base trimmed with two raised rings of white“jeweled” dots. As I said. I don’t know anything about these, I am guessing he is German or Austrian and nineteenth century but that is just a guess. If anyone recognizes this. Any info would be welcome. A woman is sitting with her lamb beside her and a gentleman; carrying a basket of blooms, is handing her a flower while putting one in her hair. He gazes into her eyes adoringly. The sculpture is quite expressive and eludes young romance. The piece is finely detailed with flower petals, individual fingers, and the lamb's leg is bent as though he's moving. Note the fine porcelain ribbon bows on her bodice. She does have old restoration the the basket and handles and the very tip of her left thumb is chipped, please enlarge all photos for details. Although the KPM mark is light. I did purchase this in a lot of fine old porcelain which included the KPM bowl I recently sold. She is heavy for her size and measures about 8.5" high. Antique Fine German Porcelain unsgd possibly Meissen Berlin Figurines Dogs Finely detailed early 19th century. Possibly late 18th small size figures of anatomically correct dogs. A male and a female. I believe these are German, possibly unsigned Meissen KPM Berlin or similar. They measure about 2" by 1&1/2" tall and the male is slightly larger than the female. The female dog has her tail missing and a couple of minor flakes of green paint off the base. The male has an in the making firing crack across the underside of the base as you can see in the photos, otherwise fine. German is only my best guess on these, so please use your own judgment. Here is a great set of 4 Porcelain Soldiers for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! We are open to piecing these figures out individually if any party is interested in doing that way as well. The company name noted on the bottom of the pieces is"Porcelaine de Paris" and then has a cross arrow image. The painting and glaze on each of the pieces still looks good. Very little crazing going on. The colors and detailing are very eye catching. I see no cracks. Chips, or repairs to report to you. Some minor paint loss along some edges, probably from polishing over the years. The hands and ... morefingers are all intact too. Not sure if any of the pieces actually held something in their hands at some point or not. Kind of posed that way, but I see no markings on the inside of the hands that would indicate that something was affixed there at any point in the past. The one piece standing with his arms crossed is a rendering of Napoleon with the years of his birth and death noted on the tombstone that his cape is draped over. The other 3 pieces have a round base and are probably renderings of soldiers in Napoleon's army. The Napoleon piece has a square base. The others have a round base. Found a Napoleon online from this company with an elevated base and the tombstone that went for $399 by itself. The porcelain figures are 8.25" to 8.75" tall.
