This item is in excellent condition especially for its age. Iam going by memory but I think this was done in the 1950's-1960's if memory serves. The figure is in good condition. There aren't any chips or cracks. No missing fingers etc. The painting is still pretty vibrant on this piece. Nice blonde/yellow hair and pale dress with pale blue shadows. On the bottom is a blue mark that is an N with a crown above it, which led us to believe it was a Capodimonte piece. Meissen figurine of little girl holding a monkey, ca. 1900
Small porcelain figurine(4" 10 cm. of little girl in peasant clothes holding a little monkey, who himself is all dressed up in finest circus attire and holds a truncheon. In excellent condition, hand painted. The only flaw is revealed by the thin gray string the girl is holding in her right hand, which is broken off on one or both sides. From the color, I thought it might have been the monkey's tail, althouygh it is impossible that it was so long. In the official Meissen catalogue, Figuren vol. I, the original figures(made ca. 1775 by Acier) show that the monkey had a rope tied around his waist and the girl was holding the end of the rope in her hand. The long, thin rope falling in mid-air must have been impossibly fragile and, in this case, probably broke before the figurine was painted- or was never finished at all- since the painter ... morepainted the monkey's blue jacket a solid color as if there were no rope; if you look carefully on the original, you can see that the thin rope is sculpted around his waist, but is painted over in blue. A piece of the gray rope hangs down the side, then the piece in the girl's hand. It's a beautiful piece, whatever the story behind it is. This example must have been made in the decades around 1900. Under the base are the crossed swords of the Meissen factory in blue underglaze, below which is incised free-hand a large no. 3(the model number under which it appears in the Meissen catalogue) on top of the field on the underside is incised"95" and a zigzag line. After glazing, it was handmarked"22.

This is a beautiful piece by Ernst Wahliss who had established himself in the late 1880's as Vienna's leading retailer in porcelain goods. In 1894. He purchased the Alfred Stellmacher factory in Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia, and began to produce decorative ceramics under the name Ernst Wahliss Kunst- Porzellan- und Fayence-Fabrik. By 1907 his son Gerhard Martin Wahliss owned the factory and continued to create a variety of functional and decorative items in earthenware and porcelain. Dresden Porcelain Lace Figurine Gilt Bodice Holding Mirror Volkstedt Germany
This stunning German hand painted figurine features a gilt bodice. And as you can see from the second photo the 1846 is stamped onto the rim under the blue marking. All of her fingers are intact and as far as I can see all of the lace appears to be perfect as well. She is holding a mirror in her right hand and the left hand is so delicately placed upon her lace dress. They gold detail on this piece is eye catching, she measures 3 inches tall and 4 inches wide. Her base appears to be in perfect condition as well. Because of the fine quality painting of this piece I believe it is German. However it is unsigned so please check images to come to your own conclusion. This painting is generally finer than what you see coming from Japan. This piece is 6" tall and the cherub or baby is 4" tall. This is a lovely Dresden Lace figurine featuring a woman in pastel green dress with the hat on her head holding a basket full of the flowers. Her dress has a white bows on the bottom. There is one flower applied to the dress on the front and one leaf next to it. This is an adorable small porcelain figurine of a young girl dragging her clown doll behind her. It is a Royal Dux figurine. Measuring 4 1/2" tall. It would be in perfect condition except for a very small chip on the top of the clown's hat. It can be seen in the fifth photo. Beause of the chip I will reduce the asking price. I would say that this is a muted blue and white bisque figurine with some light coloring of the girl's face and hair. It is engraved 995 28 and imprinted with the number 26. It is very cute!
