RARE Antique 1757 CHELSEA 5 3/4" Putti Cherub Figurine PROVENANCE
This auction is for a Rare Antique Chelsea Putti Figurine circa 1750. The figurine measures approximately 5 3/4 inches high. The figurine is marked on the bottom with collection stickers- it has two generations of collection stickers- the most recent collection was the MacHarg Collection and the one previous was the Ex Luccock Collection dated 28/1/43. The figurine has suffered some damage over the years- it has damage to two of the birds in the nest and a crack in part way through the nest plus some minor chips to the leaves and flowers- please see close-up photos. The figurine exhibits three dirty looking circles on its base- for those possibly not as familiar with the early Chelsea figurines. Please read the following quote from"How to Identify Old China" by Mrs. Willoughby Hodgson page 69- figures are generally marked by three'thumb ... moremarks' Or dirty looking patches also made by the tripod. These'thumb marks' and blisters are often a help to identification, as like the productions of many other early factories, much Chelsea china was unmarked. Again. This auction is for a Rare Antique 18th Century Putti Figurine circa 1750- 1800. The figurine measures approximately 5 3/4 inches high. The figurine is marked on the bottom with collection stickers- it has two generations of collection stickers- the most recent collection was the MacHarg Collection and the one previous was the Ex Luccock Collection dated 28/1/43. The figurine has suffered some damage over the years- it has damage to two of the birds in the nest and a crack in part way through the nest plus some minor chips to the leaves and flowers- please see close-up photos. The figurine exhibits three dirty looking circles on its base- for those possibly not as familiar with the early figurines. VTG German Lace Ballerina 3 5/8" Figurine, Purple Dress & Shoes, VADIM, GERMANY/
This is a vintage German Ballerina Lady with beautiful lace and flowers. She is 3 5/8" tall. I believe it reads on the bottom of figurine Vadim. Germany, a mark and the number 2. She is in excellent condition! I don't see any missing lace. Cracks, chips or repairs. She has the purple dress with white lace and purple shoes. Other figurines that look similar to this one say that they are Dresden Volkstedt. Insurance is included in my shipping cost.

Bisque Piano Figurine, Heubach style, 2 Girls- Pink and Blue, 5 inches tall
These are adorable bisque piano figurines in a Heubach style. They both measure 5 inches tall and approximately 3 inches wide. They are not labeled as to maker. But do have numbering on the bottoms. The blue figure is in excellent condition. She has no chips or cracks. The pink figure has some condition issues. I am not certain if she can be repaired or not. I am including her because they seem like a set. Her leg appears to have broken and was repaired poorly. There are no missing pieces. So perhaps a better repair could be made. She has also had breaks and repairs on her foot and upper torso. Again, these repairs are obvious with a yellowing glue, but all pieces are present.
