SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: Height: 278 millimeters(11 1/8 inches) Length: 232 millimeters(9 1/3 inches) Breadth: 99 millimeters(4 inches) Base: 150 x 74 millimeters(6 inches x 3 inches) 12 millimeters(1/2 inch) in thickness. CONDITION: Very good. Minor porcelain chips. There are minor chips in the porcelain glaze at the rider’s right front shoulder; to the rider’s waist, behind, center; to the back side of the horse’s right leg; at the edge of the horse’s stomach, right side, center; and at the rider’s left elbow. There is as well a scattering of minute porcelain chips throughout, and the top of the horse’s right ear is also chipped. Other than cleaning, there has been no restoration work. The minor chips could be repaired, without additional cost, if you would like our conservator to repair the chips. There remains some mild soil adhesions, small areas where soil still adheres to the statuette, despite our best efforts to clean away all soil adhesions. Of course the paint has decomposed and is powdery in those areas where the statuette was merely painted(not glazed) the rider’s head, boot, and hands. RARE Antique 1757 CHELSEA 5 3/4" Putti Cherub Figurine PROVENANCE
This auction is for a Rare Antique Chelsea Putti Figurine circa 1750. The figurine measures approximately 5 3/4 inches high. The figurine is marked on the bottom with collection stickers- it has two generations of collection stickers- the most recent collection was the MacHarg Collection and the one previous was the Ex Luccock Collection dated 28/1/43. The figurine has suffered some damage over the years- it has damage to two of the birds in the nest and a crack in part way through the nest plus some minor chips to the leaves and flowers- please see close-up photos. The figurine exhibits three dirty looking circles on its base- for those possibly not as familiar with the early Chelsea figurines. Please read the following quote from"How to Identify Old China" by Mrs. Willoughby Hodgson page 69- figures are generally marked by three'thumb ... moremarks' Or dirty looking patches also made by the tripod. These'thumb marks' and blisters are often a help to identification, as like the productions of many other early factories, much Chelsea china was unmarked. Again. Antique 18th Century Derby or CHELSEA 5 3/4" Putti Cherub Figurine PROVENANCE
This auction is for a Rare Antique 18th Century Putti Figurine circa 1750- 1800. The figurine measures approximately 5 3/4 inches high. The figurine is marked on the bottom with collection stickers- it has two generations of collection stickers- the most recent collection was the MacHarg Collection and the one previous was the Ex Luccock Collection dated 28/1/43. The figurine has suffered some damage over the years- it has damage to two of the birds in the nest and a crack in part way through the nest plus some minor chips to the leaves and flowers- please see close-up photos. The figurine exhibits three dirty looking circles on its base- for those possibly not as familiar with the early figurines. This Capodimonte Huntressn figurine is strikingly colorful and detailed. The colors are vibrant and the details are amazing for a quasi miniature figurine from the dog at her feet to the captured bird in her hand to the buttons on her jacket to her facial features to the flowers at her feet to the flowers on her skirt to her necktie. Just a perfect little figurine in perfect condition. It matches another Capodimonte figurine we have on ebay which is the male hunter counterpart. I have shown a picture of the figurine with the hunter figurine to give an idea of what they would look like together even though that figurine is not part of this offering.

This Hunter capodimonte figurine is strikingly colorful and detailed. The colors are vibrant and for a quasi miniature figurine. The details are marvelous from the rabbit in hand to the buttons on his jacket to the flowers at his feet to his facial features to his striped pants to the pouch hanging from his belt. It has one flaw and that is that the barrel of the rifle is missing, but it is truthfully unremarkable. This is a wonderful match to the Female Capodimonte counterpart we also have up on ebay called the Huntress. I have shown a picture of this figurine with the Huntress figurine to give an idea of what they would look like together even though that figurine is not part of this offering

Up for bid is a lovely. Vintage Katzhutte figurine, measuring approximately 5-1/4" tall. This Katzhutte piece depicts a young girl, in Victorian garb, holding a fan in one hand, and a pocketbook in the other. While I do not know the age of this particular figurine, my research did disclose that this manufacturer closed its doors in 1945. This figurine is signed with an"H" in a house, and is embossed with the numbers" and is in very good condition, free from chips or cracks. This is a wonderful figurine to add to one's collection. It doesn't say Dresden but I have owned this for 30 years and Grandma always refered to it as her"dresden" figurine, before it was passed to me upon her death, I figure it is at least eighty years old. But was most likely made around 1950's Thru 1960's 5 3/4" High X 6 1/8" Wide X 4 1/2" Deep.
