CONDITION: Very good. Minor porcelain chips. There are minor chips in the porcelain glaze at the rider’s right front shoulder; to the rider’s waist, behind, center; to the back side of the horse’s right leg; at the edge of the horse’s stomach, right side, center; and at the rider’s left elbow. There is as well a scattering of minute porcelain chips throughout, and the top of the horse’s right ear is also chipped. Other than cleaning, there has been no restoration work. Antique Staffordshire 2 Young Boys on a Bridge Figurine What a couple of cuties! Presented is a wonderful Staffordshire figurine that features the figures of two young boys seated on a bridge. One boy has his hand raised to his head- it makes me wonder if a strong breeze just stole away his hat! Dates to the mid- to late-1800s. There is crazing throughout the piece. And it looks like someone has touched up the gilding. There is also a dark line around the backside of one of the boys(please see photos) I do believe it to be a crack, but I can't be sure- and even if it is, it hasn't gone all the way around the boy, so he certainly was never broken off at any point. As long as he is treated with a little TLC, it shouldn't be a problem. Plus, it's on the reverse of the piece, so unless you were planning on displaying these little ... moreguys with their backsides facing outward, no one's going to have any idea the line is even there! These little tikes are ready to be displayed in a new home! Length: Base is about 5 inches long and about 3 1/4 inches wide. Figurine stands 10 3/4 inches tall. Weight: They may look little. This figurine is in very good used condition with lace loss to her skirt and the bottom of her skirt. She also has a few dots of discoloration on her skirt. This is a very beautiful vintage figurine from Germany. I purchased it from the estate of a lady who had been in the military and lived in Germany with her husband for several years before returning the U.S. They had an extensive collection of things from Germany. This being one of them. It is a man sitting at a piano. Details are really wonderful. Colors are vibrant. I do not know the hallmark at the bottom but I believe it may be an early piece of Dresden. It is in two pieces, one being the piano and the other the man sitting on the bench. Appears to have been damaged as it is re-glued on the green portion of the piano where the green flowered piece is. Please see the photos. 11 1/2" Heubach Dancing Girl Bisque Figurine, Marked Heubach, Excellent!
This wonderful antique bisque figurine was made by Gebruder Heubach in the late 1890's or early 1900's. She measures 11 1/2" tall and is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs. My camera flash really washed her face out.she is beautifully painted and has intaglio eyes! She has the Heubach marking in two different areas. There is an impressed marking along the back edge. Which shows up well in the fourth photo. There is also a blue inked marking on the underside, which I could not capture with my camera due to the flash. I can see no visible damage or signs of repairs. There are a few shallow flakes on the INSIDE of the bottom edge, however they might have happened at the factory(and do not show from the outside at all) She does have a few of the usual firing lines, however they happened during the firing and are NOT ... moredamage. There is a short one where her neck meets her chest(in the front) some lines where her hair meets her neck(in the rear) a short one on the underside of one wrist, and another around the top of one arm, where it meets her lacy collar. If you do not like firing lines or are inclined to think of them as cracks(which they are not) then this figurine is not for you. I know these are firing lines as there is a build-up of the flesh tone in them. The decoration on her dress is particularly attractive and well-done. This is an auction for a beautiful porcelain Lady w/lamb figurine that stands 8-1/2" tall and is in fine condition. She is also carrying a basket of flowers. Made very well and deatiled. Someone took very good care of this piece as there are alot of small pieces that usually get broken off such as: her hands. Arms and in this case the small flowers in the backet. The figurines are lovely, the facial expression show a tiered hardworking couple going home after work. Husband is in mint condition. Wife had some repair done on her left arm and left hand fingers and the handle of the shovel. Besides these flaws. The rest is mint condition. It is not very noticeable and can be displayed as is. Unfortunately I can not identify the markings on the bottoms. Ebay Listing Page RARE Large 20" Antique Sitzendorf Porcelain Maiden& Lamb Figurine Item Description: Up for auction is a stunning antique porcelain grand scale porcelain figurine manufactured in Sitzendorf. Thuringia, Germany between 1887-1900. The figurine was manufactured by the highly collectible Sitzendorfer Porcelain Works and it features a young maiden with a lamb seated at her foot. The figurine is very intricate with separated fingers, raised flowers and ruffles, and texture work on the lamb's fleece and the branches of the tree. The skirt is decorated with hand-painted flowers and the base is adorned with gold accents. The underside of the figurine is marked with the Sitzendorf mark in cobalt blue. Overall the figurine stands about 19 1/2" tall. This is about as nice as they come! I do have the matching figurine ... morethat accompanies this one, which is a boy with a dog. If interested, please let me know. Item Condition: The overall condition of the figurine is excellent. I have surveyed every detail on this piece down to each flower petal. Leaf, finger, piece of lace, etc. I have found no chips, cracks, flakes, or repairs. It is quite difficult to find a piece with this much intricate work that has absolutely no flaws. The white porcelain is still quite bright, but it could use a good cleaning. It is slightly dirty in some areas, especially some of the crevases where dust tends to collect and settle over many years. I see no crazing to the glaze, and it is bright and glossy. The base has standard rubbing and dirt from years of use and display, and the trademark is easy to read. This would make an excellent display piece or be a fine addition to someone's collection! Antique vintage bisque figurine 2 French Victorian Germany lovely hand painted
For auction. A really pretty pair of antique or vintage figurines marked number 10186 Germany, I could not who made these but photographed number and Germany mark for you. They are hand painted and stand 5 1/2 inches tall. The paint is beautiful and there are no chips or cracks, A French Victorian man and lady. I do not know if they are a reproduction or actually old but they are very pretty. Appear to be old, there is felt on the bottom of the base.
