Antique 19th Century MEISSEN- Je les Ramene" Porcelain Cupid Motto Figure Figurine Antique German Meissen“Je les Ramene” cupid motto figure. The heavy porcelain figurine of a cupid or putto is surrounded by and holding flowers with a quiver full of arrows. The fine hand-painted porcelain figurine has a raised oval plaque on the front with the French words“Je les Ramene” written in script. The figure is signed on the underside with the blue under-glaze crossed swords Meissen mark. The number 11 in red glaze and an impressed“F12” and“48” The Meissen figure has tiny chips to a few of the flowers and an approximate ½” crack on the pedestal that is holding flowers. The original garland that the cupid is holding is broken in several parts and only two pieces of it remain as seen in the photos below. LARGE 18th CENTURY DERBY PORCELAIN FIGURE RANELAGH DANCER c1770 Presented is a Derby porcelain figure from England that dates to circa 1765-70! This figure is most likely of a famous leading actor of the time. We believe it is part of the Ranelagh Dancers of Derby because of the placement of its hands and posture. The figure is holding a posy in his outstretched hand. On a scroll-molded base. Flowery, leafy branches are on both sides of him. He is wearing a green and red cape over a white shirt with a yellow rim and red, blue, and yellow flowers. He has brown eyes and black hair. The condition is excellent. There are some flakes to the paint/glaze( the worst of which is shown in the last photograph to part of the green cape) and many of the leaves and flower petals have ... morebroken off. His left hand was broken off and has been repaired. The fingers on his left hand have also been repaired. Please see the photographs below. His hat has been repainted in the front and what appears to have been feathers or leaves on his hat have broken off. There are a couple of natural fissures that occurred in the making. The glaze has flowed into these and they should not be considered damage. One is on his shoulder over the green cape, and the other is along his pigtail. The figure stands 13 inches high. Zhitomir Region. Korosten. It is based in 1903. Enterprising Pole A.K.Przhibylsky bases plant on production of faience and porcelain. At first at factory made only"linen" the white. Not painted ware. Then it packed into barrels, them loaded in cars and carried to Poland— to paint. The enterprise specializes on tableware release— expensive services, plates. In 1917 the factory was nationalized. This is a a beautiful and quite rare to find figural lamp created by the Muller Volkstedt factory of Germany. A lady is sitting at her vanity powdering her face as a young boy puts her shoe on her foot. It is a rare example created by this factory and dates 1920s-40s. The lady has a tiny chip on the end of her pointer finger and the boy has a broken thumb. Minor on display. There is some lace chipping to her gown as well. I did not test the lamp to see if it works however the cord is intact. Measures 8 1/2 inches high by 5 1/2 inches wide. Very special piece for the collector! Superb! Antique German Porcelain Bisque Children Figure Bust Figurine Dresden
Gorgeous pair of Victorian handpainted busts of a little girl and boy. They date late 1800s and are beautifully handpainted and modeled. Measure approximately 11 and 10 1/2 inches high by 6 inches wide. They display wonderfully however the boy's hat has been broken and reglued to a section(see photos) and the girl is excellent besides a bit of paint wear on her chin and some nibbles to the very bottom base. This is a gorgeous porcelain or ceramic art deco hand painted spanish flamenco dancer figurine by GoldCrest Fine China. The colors on this figure and very vibrant. Her top and scarf is a purple color and her skirt is black with hand painted red flowers. Her underskirt is painted red. She is holding a yellow and gold fan and her skirt seems to be flowing as if she has just finished a twirl. She is in excellent condition. I can find no damage there might be a dot or two of paint wear under her skirt.it's not noticable at all. but I think it was just painted that way. She is a magnificent and beautiful figurine.
